Yokohama Geolandar

Fitted to a 2011 Triton 4x4, the Geolander AT tyres are high quality. We live on acres that are hilly and uneven with unsealed roads. The Geolanders handle everything with ease.

Comfort and quiet running for me – Have run these on my 80 series after bfg for 400,000. The price difference caused me to change. my 200 Sahara and doing long road trips, very quiet. I am now fitting out an fj cruiser and will be selling the near-new m t atz as I value the quiet running more than the big beefy tread. Not knocking the BFG or Mt. I got fantastic mileage from my BFG. As I do 90 % on road and a lot of long runs to where I go, the road noise is a very big issue for me and the Geolander AT is so good. Milledge I'm not sure, do not expect to beat the BFG. Have just had some serious tracking in heavy mud in Nundle forest, then on steep sharp rocky tracks out west of Tenterfield, no problems at all. The FJ handled the terrain really well, even better when I put the throttle control on crawl.

years and 78,000km (and still had another 5k left on them) on my Pajero ... now with a set of Yoko G018 AT (a touch higher pitch road noise - but still smooth and quiet and very very good)!! Be confident! ---------- Yokohama G015 AT tires 265/70/16.., What a delight to drive on! Totally personal experience and opinion here. Pajero NP 4wd. 265 70 r16. I started with Bridgestone but like many others will never go back there again due to road slap at 50% wear. Moved to Toyo because I got a great 2nd hand deal and liked them a lot - strong and durable but not so grippy in wet. NOW - the Yokohama are an excellent Tire. Like silk to drive on sealed roads with almost no noise, swish! Awesome. Seriously.

Went to central west Qld and into 4 national parks. These are not soft forest drive type parks! Haha! These are gibba, rocks, clay, corrugation, grids, washouts etc. 6000 km and not a scratch or chip or puncture. Love em!! (You gotta get your pressures right when off road for any tyre though to reduce risk of puncture - I know there are those who will disagree but the proof is in the experience - 30-34lb off road; 40psi on sealed road. Remember driving will heat up the tyre and add 2-4 psi especially off road with all the friction. Now, Admittedly we drove on dry dirt , so not tested on slippery wet clay pans yet. So far - so excellent. Best tyres I have ever owned. Cannot say enough good things about them. Sure, there are other great tyres like the mire expensive Falken or Goodrich But the Yokos do the job perfectly for 2/3 the price.

Edit 12/22 20,000km and under 50%wear and still smooth stable quiet and will stop you fast!

Very happy with the Yokohama Geolandar X-CV G057 tyres so far. They are very quiet on the road and make the car feel much smoother and more comfortable. Wet-weather grip is great and the vehicle feels stable at highway speeds.

rear axle. My Prado needs new tyres soon so will definitely use these as a replacement. The white writing looks good too on typical ute steel rims. Your eyes are drawn to the tyres and you don't really notice the boring rims.

was not as noisy as expected for an A/T tyre. i was expecting it to be noisier but wasn't that much of a difference from my previous road tyres. went light offroad a bit and was able to handle steep inclines with no problem at all. Show details

The tyres are performing well in dry and wet conditions on a Jeep Cherokee. They are noisier than I expected compared to my old Continentals, however still acceptable.

misled. MTS is quick (fitted my tyres within 45 mins), and provided good quality brand new tyres at a very competitive price.

Very happy with MTS. Having replaced 7 sets of tyres over the years so far, MTS will be my first preference when it comes to replacing tyres. The only thing that you should be aware is to do wheel alignment as MTS does not provide that service on the spot but you can easily take your car to nearby mechanics to get that done in no time anyway.

When I booked, I made it clear to the person I spoke to that my car was in an underground carpark with 2.1 metre clearance. Then, the 3 metre high van arrived and couldn't do the job, so I had to reschedule. Apparently this isn't the first time this has happened! Sounds like a pretty basic fix to eliminate a big inconvenience for customers and to improve your own efficiency.

Dangerous – Very disappointed with these tyres. Changed from Factory fitted Dunlop Grandtrek AT25's due to low load rating and having fractured 2 on rough unsealed roads. Dunlops. No longer a relaxing drive as you have to be alert all the time as it lunges around within your lane (if your lucky enough to keep it in the lane). Can't wait for these to wear out.

Great tyre with great grip. There is some road noise but it doesn’t bother me and you’d expect some noise from this type of tyre.
