odor in the house. I use it for the bin especially, I use it on our dogs' mat too because I hate the smell of animals in the house. It works well for when all the windows in the house have been closed and you want to get rid of that funky smell. I am going bring this to my work and use it in the bathroom because that smells horribly and test it out. I can imagine how helpful this would be for pregnant women who get nauseas at certain smells too. This doesnt have a scent to it, it just neutralises the already existing odor, so it makes it smell like nothing, which is especially great for me since i like to use minimal artificial fragrances as possible. As the stench was toxic it took almost 2 days to clear BUT it took ONLY 2 days to not cover (like every other method I tried) but remove the dead possum smell completely! That's incredible. That's just crazy fast.

Do read the instructions, I was liberally splashing this on cotton balls and dropping them in corners as well as lobbing them into the old chimney and a little does go a long way, I over did it at first as I could smell the Nilodor (you're not suppose to be able to smell it when you use it) and it gave me the worst headache until I ran around and picked up 80% of the cotton balls, the Nilodor scent went and in less than 2 days it cleared the air. A possum takes anywhere up to 12 weeks to decompose so every week I just refresh the cotton balls a little and not once has the stink crept back in.

Amazing product! If you have an overwhelming stink you just can't get rid of, use this.

Great for freshening up kids bedrooms – I've kept a bottle of Nilodor in my house for many years. Really good stuff! Lovely menthol/peppermint smell, too. talking about if you've got teenage boys in the house!). When he was out working part-time, I would often put a saucer in his room for an hour or two, with a drop or two of Nilodor on it. The room always smelt so much fresher & nicer after I did that.. Much easier & more economical doing that than spraying Glen 20 around all the time.

Nilodor is very easy to use. Just upend the bottle, give the bottom a tap, & one drop is dispensed. Apply one drop near odour source. Not to be used on painted, varnished, plastic or rubber surfaces. A tiny 7.5ml bottle lasts for ages & ages. The label on the bottle says 200 drops from one bottle. Great product. Just remember to wash your hands after using it.

Can be found in any supermarket, in the laundry aisle. Under $10.00, I think. Been so long since I've bought some, I can't remember the exact price.

A drop or two is all that's needed – We have used Nilodor for more years than I care to remember and it never fails!! From young kids getting car sick to painting the walls to finding a dead mouse in the garage, it will get rid of them all. We've used it commercially, at home and in the car, in fact there is always a bottle in the glovebox of the car. Our first introduction to Nilodor was many, many years ago when called to deodorise a house where a previous owner had been dead for around 6 months. At the time we doubted it's capabilities but after persisting over several days, the house could then be sold (after painting and redecorating etc) rather than demolished, which was their next (and only) option because all previous attempts at deodorising had failed. This was enough to convince us that Nilodor was 'the best thing since sliced bread' and I still use it today....35 years later.

Perfect for smelly shoes, in fact it's perfect for any smells....try it and you too, will be hooked. I do NOT have any affiliation with the company but have recommended this product for a lonnngggg time!

Dead rat smell gone in minutes! – We had a dead rat in the roof, unable to get it out, it smelt so bad. Had windows, doors open for days, 2 air purifiers, fan, constant air freshener spray, smell was still there. Then I applied a few cotton buds with this product and put them against a window and fan, it neutralised the air. No rat smell. I can walk past and not hold my breath. It smelt pleasant. think just having the air con on just filtered the air from the house. In all honesty I think 1 drop would've done the trick, the 1st night all we could smell was Nilodor. Highly recommend.

RUBBISH!!! – The only thing Nilodor does is cover unpleasant smells with its equally unpleasant smell, especially in the bathroom! Its so potent that if you accidentally get it on your clothes , it's impossible to get rid of the smell. IT DOES NOT WORK! Show details

Dead smell – We bought Nilodor for our holiday home.. something died and the smell is so bad. We sprayed Nilodor everywhere and thought that would work but next day we went back and the smell is still there... This stuff does not work it will mask the smell for a while but that's about it.... not impressed. It does smell nice though

Rat wee in wooden floor boards - worked when nothing else did – Rat wee had soaked into a corner of the wooden floor over a period of up to a month and the smell was something else through that whole room. after a couple of weeks of repeating all of the above with no significant improvement I was ready to put the whole house in the bin. Someone suggested nilodor to me and I was ready to try anything so immediately purchased from Woollies for $8.

I had read in others' reviews that it's important not to use too much, so first I put just the recommended number of drops (two from memory, but whatever the pack said) in a bucket of water and mopped the floor in that whole room with that. Then put one cotton ball with 2 drops in the aircon vent of that room, and one cotton ball with 2 drops on the floor in the offending corner. I couldn't smell the nilodor itself at all after doing these things.

By the next day the stench had significantly improved. I put another two drops on each of the two cotton balls and by the following day the smell was gone. It's now a week later and the original cotton balls are still in the aircon and on the floor but I haven't re-applied the nilodor on them since that second application. I still can't smell nilodor in the room so I don't know if it's still working or if it's worn out but the rat wee stink is gone already anyway... I don't know how it works. But it works!

Amazing product – This liquid works great for removing all types of smells. I think the big mistake people make is using too much. Stong smell to get rid of strong smells! – This is a great little product. For such a little bottle of stuff, it packs a punch. I wear plastic gloves when using so it doesn't get on my fingers. I don't quite like the smell it creates, but usually a whole lot better than the one you're trying to get rid of!

huge tip is that you only need a tiny drop for each situation as it can be quite overpowering if too much is used. It is a product that every household should keep in their cupboard.

Great neutraliser – Having people over you want the house to smell great. When you have those pesky odours that seem to linger Nilodor neutralises them. Eg kitchen bin, toilet, fridge. Excellent product.

Great toilet deodorant – After using the toilet, and soon after flushing, I put only one drop into the toilet bowl and the odor vanishes instantly. No embarrassing smell. Since I discovered Nilodor I don't use toilet sprays any more.

excellent – surprising how powerful a drop or two of this liquid is. will cover/mask the most objectional smells. especially suited to confined spaces, such as fridge,though will work in small rooms too. i have read that you can use it in a spray 9diluted with water), but as yet haven't tried that approach. very happy with it.

Nilodor smells! – I got my car back from the autobody repair shop today. They cleaned and vacuumed it nicely, but someone there idiotically sprayed Nilodor inside my car. I have asthma AND allergies to scents. I would prefer to smell almost anything other than a synthetic odour like Nilodor. I am furious!

Loved it! – I used to smoke weed in my bathroom and then open the window so the smell would get out. One day my parents were not home so i smoked in the room and it was smelling very badly, i used this product and smell was gone. It works. It's magical.

White noise for the nose – We first used one drop on a crease in the top of the garbage bag in our kitchen bin when it was already full of badly smelling rubbish. I was surprised how it reduced the smells. Then we put it on the new bag when the bin was emptied and there is actually no smell. It's a pleasure to open my bin now.
