Nobu Sydney

Food, Service and Views! – Another family of 5 luncheon, to welcome in the New Year, and what better place than the Nobu Sydney, located in the fantastic Crown at Barangaroo. We opted for the buffet lunch....90 min of 5 star sushi and oysters with a wide range of dipping sauces.....I went yusu citrus and lemon wedges for my oysters....YUM! Although not the widest of ranges, the quality and presentation were only surpassed by the inventiveness of the chefs. The beef sashimi, kingfish sashimi were great but the house specialty, grilled black cod miso was...out of this world! Served in a little paper boat, a sear piece of miso-infused cod atop a light green leaf salad...I had at least four! My pictures tell the story!! Of course the service was exemplary and very attentive, smartly dressed and well coiffure.....and of course the views!!!! The Maritime Museum to the left, and the new Barangaroo Metro to the right....all uninterrupted. We had a couple of extras which brought the price up to around $110 pp. (no drinks). With a well-deserved tip, there's not much change from $600.
