Nokia 2630 (2007)

Terrible – Buy this phone for someone you don't like very much. In all fairness, good for someone who needs blutooth and doesn't look after their phone. Doesn't deserve the Nokia name. Quite robust, has a fair few features for a cheap phone. Being a Nokia you can get accessories everywhere. Keypad smooth and if you don't hit the button centre, it will give you another number. The bluetooth works when it feels like it (was so bad on my first phone they replaced it under warranty). I have trouble hearing people, and likewise them hearing me. The camera is not worth having having resolution that poor. No expandable memory. Connect the data cable will not allow you to transfer data.
Good – For those who only want a phone with limited features this could be the one. I bought this for my son on his recommendation. so I guess that that means its trendy too. The phone works very well and he is very happy with it. Looks good Basic features
Good – great phone if you have a blue tooth receiver, so you maybe able to hear the person/s calling you on the other end, great little phone if that is all you are after (a phone to make/receive calls), very light... good as a present for the people that do not want the fangle dangles of today's mobiles. You must have a bluetooth receiver to use this phone!! small and neat little phone, light as well speakers are dudded, you really need to have it on loudspeaker to hear anyone
Good – All my mobiles have been Nokias. This is my 5th. My previous phone was four years old and working perfectly until I took it for a swimming lesson in a cup of water for 2 seconds. It was never that same after that. I eventually replaced it with the 2630. It's very slimline. I can put it into my wallet and it's barely noticeable. This is great for when I want to nick up to the shops quickly. I don't have to carry a bag and it doesn't matter if my clothes have pockets or not. It works in much the same as every other Nokia I've had. The keys feel different and I'm still finding it slightly awkward to use. I'm having to recharge every four days rather than weekly. My old phone wouldn't need a recharge for a week normally (yeah, I don't use my phone that much). The 2630 has the functions I need (phone calls, SMS and a camera for the odd occasion I find it handy). It's not fancy at all and it works. That's all I ask for. It's a Nokia so it works! Relatively easy to use. Small. Basic functions (but all the ones I need). Comparitively short battery life (or did i get a dud?) Basic functions. Reception not quite as good as previous phones.
OK – Many features for the price however operating them is slow compared to previous and other phones. Display is as large as possible for the size of the phone. Bluetooth function easily shared. Charger connector can be damaged easily due to the small pin size. Good robust phone. Thin and lightweight. Typical Nokia functions. Reasonable large display. Useful functions include an easier to use calculator, countdown timer, calendar reminder notes & alarm. Fairly robust and battery time reasonable. Functions are slow(ish) There is no memory card slot. Camera takes pictures slightly off centre. Loudspeaker not the loudest but easy to set. Navigation button a little bit to compact.
