had many of friends look at my phone and try to sort out issues but was told its faulty. Purchased another same phone from same store and it has much the same faults built in to it. Went online and it seems that this phone is prone to lots of faults out of the box. The on line store I purchased the 2 phones from has stopped selling this phone.
So much unrealised potential – EDIT: The more I use it, the more I hate it. I changed the 3 stars to a 1 star. There is a rudimentary podcast player you can install that can download and play back podcasts. • you can easily (once you work out how) set up a wi-fi hotspot (hint: assign the shortcut button to the "internet sharing" settings) • there is a torch (also easy to use, but only after you figure out how to. The instructions don't tell you! Hint: from the home screen [not the one full of icons] scroll up.) But there are many flaws, that indicate poor pre-release testing in the real world. Here is a list, in no particular order • The instruction sheet says “don’t touch the antenna area”, but there is nothing showing where the antenna area is. (Other parts of the phone are labeled in the sparse documentation, but not the antenna area.) • There is no documentation on the instruction sheet showing how to turn on torch, Bluetooth etc. by clicking the “up” button. That’s a pretty basic necessity! I only stumbled on it by chance. • Text input is broken: switching between “abc”, “Abc”, “ABC”, and “123” is laggy and doesn’t stick. “Abc” does not work at all; it is “abc” always. • Adding words to the dictionary creates two entries: the whole word and another comprising only the first two characters. • No way to delete words from dictionary. • Pressing the “call” button opens up the call log, not the “contacts” • Contacts often doesn’t default to the search position when you open it; it opens at the contact you last used, so you need to scroll all the way back to the top. • Searching the contacts, does not always find names that are in the contacts list, so you need to scroll down to get them. • Phone often shows one bar of signal, even when there is absolutely no signal and you are not able to send an SMS. • Phone never shows more than a few bars of signal, even in the middle of town. • Antenna is exceptionally poor, and there is no reception even in places that my old Nokia phone had no trouble connecting. • The phone comes with preinstalled crapware that you cannot delete. • The timestamping on messages doesn’t always show local time, so the order of messages is all scrambled. • The KaiOS store has potential, but in actuality contains almost nothing of value.
Boomer Heaven! – I love this phone. If you are like me and just want a communication device with modern bells and whistles this is it. I have the two tone grey/black model. The sound is excellent. Sos / Google Assist Button Cannot Be Deactivated – I bought the 2720 as a simple flipphone just for phone-calls. Although the menu is a bit awkward and the battery life leaves to be desired, it is OK as a phone. Yet only one star because the SOS-button CANNOT BE DEACTIVATED ! google-assistant, which will seek Internet-connection (and consumption !). Every time I open the phone after having been in my pocket, there is a lot of nonsense on the screen. Nokia has no solution. I'm about to remove the button or glu some wings around it.
Does what it Needs to Do – I am happy with this phone; my first phone after not having a mobile for 15 years. It is easy to make calls, and to set up and use the hotspot to connect my iPad to the internet. I like the flip phone as it fits easily into my pocket. I didn’t need a bulky flat screen. It has smart capabilities like google assist, maps, SOS button. I don’t use these but some people would find them handy. It is good for the price I paid. Show details

through the call log with no contacts on it. That is how it has worked for me in the past. The instructions that come with it are useless. the user manual can be downloaded but you can't read it because the download won't open, presumably you need an app. Unable to do the setup in the quick guide I eventually figured out that their were icons along the top right hand side of the screen that you couldn't see but that you needed to know about to follow the minimal instructions that were given. The keys require quite hard pressing. unfortunately. I was unable to load ice contacts for some unknown reason. I found the predictive text - which wasn't mentioned on the instructions - but it kept going in and out. Perhaps if there was a user manual that came with it might be a bit easier but I'm very unhappy with it. It doesn't do what I expected. There were no instructions about loudspeaker capability and any phone calls were only at level 5. Eventually I found on the internet that you have to make the call and wait to see an icon for loudspeaker and put it on, at which point it shows a cross which you would think means the speaker is off. on the internet it said there's a red button and an icon above it but it's actually in the middle of the screen and there is no Red button. Worst of all is the message display . No nice inbox outbox and draft folders with neat lists of messages. You don't even get a missed call or msg on the front page. Very badly designed.
Perfect combination of a smart and a "dumb" phone – Got this phone for my brother who has never had a mobile phone before. Wanted something with big buttons. The buttons on this are huge and he has no issues with it. google assistant button that can also be used as an SOS button. It's nice to be able to have a way for my brother to get answers like "when does bunnings close?" that he wouldn't have been able to find out before. I would recommend this phone. Will update down the track if any issues come up but so far so good!
