Nokia 3200 (2004)

Incredibly well made! This is still my working phone! – I can't believe how durable this phone is. It has been my phone since 2004! I don't have a need for a smart phone as I take my laptop everywhere and have a USB dongle. I need high power for the things I do online (and the programs I need to run). The phone's speaker is still crystal clear (better than most modern phones). Texting isn't super fast… Read more
but good enough for necessary communication. I have dropped this phone so many times and it has always survived; the plastic case is amazingly tough. During the last 12 years, I have gone through only 4 or so batteries--it's amazing how it just keeps going. I've never been careful with it; it's got a lot of scratches but it's still perfectly usable. It will come to an end one day and I'm not sure what I'll do. I'm not looking forward to cracked screens etc. It's all about functionality for me, not appearances. Love my little vintage Nokia!
This was my first phone, it was great – I had this phone when I was about 12 and it was great. I just used it for texting, but it was perfect for what I needed it for. I also loved that it came with colourful personalisation options! Unfortunately I broke mine when I had it in a bag with a water bottle that wasn't closed properly, to this day I still miss it. No phones are as sturdy or… Read more
as durable as Nokias are when it comes to bumps and drops (just not water)... It would be a bit outdated now, technologically though.
OK – The ring tones are not high pitched which is nice so they arent annoying. A sturdy phone for those who dont need to be "prescious" about their phones and like being able to decorate it with their own little "touch" Good for the era it came out in. Nokia are a good brand in the sense that their products can handle few bumps and scrapes and still… Read more
work relatively well. The novelty of being able to put your own design inside the cover was fun too. Easy to navigate screens/menu The key pad to a little getting used to. but thats about it
Bad – The phone had good features for when it ws released, however for nowadays the specs are a bit outdated. The photos I took with the night mode camera were always a bit fuzzy unless there was very good light so that is very disappointing for people who use the camera function on their phones quite often. It is an OK phone for it's day, but could be… Read more
a lot better. You can make your own custom made designs and slip them under the face plate. The phone is user friendly and easy to navigate. The key pad is hard to get used to. The keys are not where the normally are on a regular phone, so texting can be a bit messy. Outdated features. The night mode is a bit under par.
Excellent – I used to own this phone and loved how unique it's appearance is and it was very reliable for personal use! It is great to be able to change the faceplate to get different colour and light effects so you don't get bored with the design, the buttons are cool, the phone functions fast and easy to understand, the manual is very easy to understand,… Read more
the battery compartment is easy to locate and access, you can pick them up for next to nothing at the moment because they're an older model Sometimes the buttons can stick which is frustrating
Excellent – I loved this phone for the faceplate idea. I upgraded to this from the 3120 as it had the polyphonic ringtones, colour screen and camera. Great phone for its time and it was affordable. Changable cover faceplates -first of the mobile kind. You could have a photo or a picture of something you like and use that as the phone cover. Ring tones… Read more
were polyphonic and was very cool at the time. I found the key pad slightly odd to use as the top and bottom of the key was a digit. After getting use to that, it because OK.
OK – Overall i think this phone is OK, nothing spectacular. The camera is ordinary, the buttons are badly designed but it does come for free on many plans so it's not all bad. I like that this phone comes for free on a lot of plans as not everyone can afford - or wants to for that mattter - pay extra for their mobile phone I'm sorry but WHO at nokia… Read more
thought this was a nice looking phone? It's outright ugly in my opinion. The buttons are so badly designed that you have to re learn how to type on the keys in order to write an SMS
Bad – The phone isnt too bad for the price, however i wouldn't recomend this phone for others. Spend abit more money for a better phone. I guess for a person just wanting a phone that calls and thats it, its a great phone, but for others who want features it is a bad phone. The phone is cheap, good features, decent sound, light, compact. Another great… Read more
feature it has is a flashlight at the bottom which can be turned on by holding the * button. The most dissapionting feature on this phone is its camera, very slow. It also has bad quality, however it has photo editing software aldready installed which makes up for the camera. The keys are absoutely useless, i found it very hard to type a messege.
Good – A good little phone that are cheap or free on a plan with telstra. I had mine in total for 2 years and it was great. Easy to use It's a good little phone. I got if free a few years ago with Telstra on a $25 a month plan. It worked well until I dropped it in the sea!! It did get replaced with the same model - so it must be good! It's a simple to… Read more
use phone with a vga camera on the back. The protective case is strong and the funky inserts are cool to modify the look of the phone Not sure I like the tear drop shaped buttons. To sms it takes a while to relearn with these buttons designed like that.
Excellent – I love the built-in torch which has come in handy in many occasions. Like other Nokia phones I love the user-friendly lay out. The calender/reminder is the function I use the most. A good affordable phone. The plastic casing is very sturdy, I've dropped it accidentally hundreds of times and it's still going! Love the ability to personalize the… Read more
cover with the cut-out gadget that's included. Picture viewing quality on the phone isn't good. However the quality of the photos are quite good. When I sent picture messages to others the photos have good resolutions.
OK – Overall, I think this is a pretty good phone for someone who doesn't want anything too fancy. It's really easy to use, like all Nokia phones and it's quite cheap. I love how you can personalise these by making your own covers from whatever you want. It's also a very easy process, just make a design (or cut one out from a magazine), cut it out with… Read more
the tool they give you and then just insert it in your phone. Photo quality is pretty poor, no videos, no bluetooth, the games lag and you can't connect it to the computer so save any photos.
OK – Overall this phone is simple and easy to use. The build quality is decent and the phone gives you some extras from the CIF camera and the voice recorder all the way to the flashlight. Sure the quality of the audio and the camera ain't the best but it does the job well. Simple and easy layout - great for its time. CIF camera and torch light. The… Read more
user interface on this phone is great. I's simple and easy to use without all the confusing options and menus. There isn't much memory in it and there is no video which can be taken.
Good – its a great phone i suggest it to someone who just wants a small fun phone! The cameras ok, but its great for just having fun!i love the games especially bounce! i guess nothing but the back is a real pain to get off!

Good – This is a simple phone which works well. I feel it is more suited to the younger age group because of its changable covers, so they can change the look of their phone or even design their own cover. There is a built-in flashlight which is quite handy at night when looking for keys in your bag. It includes a camera but because there is only 1MB of… Read more
memory, you can't store many photos at all. The keypad is quite a different layout to most phones, making it confusing to use at first. There are many other features like polyphonic ringtones, fm radio, infrared etc. Overall, a good simple phone. Handy torch, changable covers, built-in camera & fm radio Keypad different to standard layout, not much memory
Bad – I would recommend the Nokia 3200 to a teenager or child that is getting their first phone, it is by no means a user friendly phone, or one that you would depend on in an emergency. Having said that, the menu's are easy to use like most Nokia's are. The Nokia 3200 has most of the features of a low end phone. Has a cool feature that you can change… Read more
the graphics behind the clear casing of the phone. The buttons are hard to use, and don't appear to be placed correctly, where you can use most phones without looking, this one prooves difficult.
Good – This was a great phone when it was first released in 2004. Since then, many of the features are now a bit dated or of poor quality for example the camera is blurry, and the display is not that sharp. The cut-out covers to make your own phone designs are too time consuming, and do not turn out very good looking. The odd shaped keys are not that… Read more
bad, but may take time for some new users to get used to. Has infared so wallpaper and ringtone content can be loaded from a computer Screen is a bit dated, camera is not that great
OK – I have one of these mobiles, and although it doesn't have an mp3 player system on it, it can still broadcast the radio. A trustworthy brand, i have this phone for more than 4 years and it still works, and yes i have dropped the mobile numerous of times in the past, and it still functions as normal. If there is a mobile that you would like to have… Read more
but don't want to spend the fortune getting a new one, this phone just fits the bill. It's the type of phone you want as a back-up. It also has a camera built in too. Long battery life, is wap enabled, changeable covers. It's dated but i would still use this if my new ones start playing up on me, a very trustworthy mobile and brand.
OK – The phone is good for the flashlight and making calls. I wouldn't take pictures from the camera. I wouldn't try and get additional ringtones because the memory is crap. It fits in your pocket. The loudspeaker is actually loud. Overall its an alright phone. The phone looks good and its light. It has an Integrated flashlight which is reall bright.… Read more
You can get many different skins for it. Its userfriendly and has helpful shortcuts. You can access the internet. The camera is below disgust. The memory is not enough to support a few pictures taken from the camera and a few ringtones. Its a bit chunky.
Bad – fun looking, light weight and very small mobile but the cons associated with the keypad simply outweigh any pros of this phone. quirky looks, totally customizable appearance in terms of front exterior color, LCD background display, rear panel can even be customized with a photo or any other image (on paper) which is slipped in behind the cover.… Read more
The buttons are awful. They look funky enough but when you try to actually make a call on the go, or type an SMS in a bit of a hurry you'll fin, or at least i found, that you'll make about 10 mistakes per SMS and you'll have to cancel and re-enter the digits of a number 5 times to get it right - esp if you have larger hands!
Terrible – Ihate this phone, it is a rip off to pay more than $140 for one, i wouldn't but another one even if i was desperate!!!!!! you can make your own covers. battery life is alright. This phone has vertually NO MEMORY, it only has 1.1MB, and it is only evough to hold about 50 pictures and 50 ringtones and then its full!!! the camera is hopeless, the… Read more
screen is not "high resolution" as the nokia web site states. the screen is very poor in colours with only 4096 colours. i think that most nokia's are purchased so often is because of their name.
Terrible – Keypad is so difficult to use, I have almost stopped typing and sending SMSs. Even dialling is dificult. Forget surfing Net on this phone. Basically you would like to avoid anything and everything that involves using the keyboard. Software/firmware in the phone is so cheap and unreliable, in last one year I have needed to have the software… Read more
refreshed/reloaded 6 times or so. Needless to say, everytime I lose all my data. The bad thing is you can never really rely on the data you are storing on it, be it anything, contacts or SMSs or MMSs or wallpapers, you can never be sure it will remain there tomorrow.
Voice quality is poor. You don't really hear it *clearly*.
Infra red is poor. Don't expect it to work all the times.
While using the headset, be ready to hear the person on the other side say frequently "I am unable to hear you properly"
Changing covers is a pain. Its so difficult, I never changed it once in last one year, despite that it comes bundled with about a dozen of them and a cutter to make your own covers. All this becomes a useless feature for which you pay but never use.
Headset that comes bundeld with the set it worth being thrown away. You cant use it for listening to radio at least. I had to buy a separate stereo headset to achieve a clearer voice fidelity. You pay for a no use headest.
Camera is for the sake of being there. Don't expect to use it to click photos you can share with friends.
An aweful buy. Don't go for it untill you cant afford somethign better. Better is to buy a phone sans camera, because you will not be able to use many *features* this phone boasts of anyway. Its feature-rich and cheap for its price. You can design new covers everyday and feel like having a new phone everyday, if you have time. A good quality FM radio. Good battery backup. -> Most unusable keypad
-> Very unreliable software
-> Poor voice quality
-> Nearly unusable camera
-> Low quality headset
-> Infra red doesn't seem to work
Excellent – Would hate to have a different phone, love nokias. I bouhgt this a couple of years ago because my old motorola was playing up and I haven't looked back. Recently I have upgraded my contract to get a new phone but I'm giving it to my partner and keeping my old faithfull!! : ) I love it, the best phone i've had. I love the standard message and ring… Read more
tones available on the phone. It's really easy to navigate, which some phones suck at. The colours are good. The only thing was getting used to the key pad, but that took about a week and now it's second nature.

OK – i wouldnt mind one lost more then my current mobile
OK – It's a very reliable phone and the battery life is incredible. If you want to take the time, you can also adjust the cover of the phone with your own cut out designs, which is more flexible than most mobiles available. You can take a photo of anything you're in front of and they download easily via infrared to your PC. This phone also supports… Read more
polyphonic ring tones and is very easy to use. As the direction keys are all on the one button, it can sometimes be difficult for the phone to interpret which direction you want, I would not suggest it for anyone with big fingers!
Good – This phone is very nice, user-friendly, and won't run out of power after one or two calls! The features cover everything you could possibly desire but don't bother with the games - they are just not much fun! I love how long the battery lasts on it - I seem to recharge only once every 3 or 4 days if I don't use it much. It's very attractive and… Read more
there is plenty of storage space for numbers and messages. There are so MANY features on this phone it can take a while to find the one you want. The photos are not that great - really low resolution. Other than that no complaints.
Good – Overall I love this phone. It is certainly fun to use and is user friendly. I love the way you can change the covers to whatever you feel like. The phone is compact and light, full of great enhancements and is internet accessible. The quality of the camera is probably on the down side, but still quite good enough to get decent photos.
Excellent – great phone to have and cheap got camera, radio, colour, multi funtional and lots more(to much to write) small and convinient
OK – Not 2 bad, radio is plus. the covers are the best, but u can stlye them your self. at 0 dollars up front and on 10 dollar plan for two years, its not 2 Bad. good color phone, has many feature radio is good, camera not 2 bad. The manual is poo, phone has crap buttons, pain to organise wap and media messages.,
