Excellent – I had this phone for a little over 3 years until last week when i dropped it from the balcony and broke it. Oh how i wish i didn't have butter fingers. This was the best phone i ever had. I have small fingers so the keys were not a problem for me. I loved the big screen and the camera was decent. About 2 weeks before it broke i started to have problems with the battery dying constantly but after 3 years i'd say it was a good innings. Best phone i ever had! A little chunky
Bad – Always had Nokia business range phones and they were great - I hate this phone!!! The only good thing is its comfortable in your pocket.A good concept done very badly. Louse PC software supplied with the phone (even the update is no good Feature rich. Battery life is good unless blutooth is turned on non-adjustable screen saver timeout,(you can adjust the actuall screen saver but the backlight goes out before you can dial a number. Without the backlight you CANNOT read the screen unless in full sunlight - lower row of keys too small - makes keypad lock very difficult. PC Software is lousy gives less functionality than phones 2 yrs older. SMS via PC is terrible. No auto keypad lock. Menus do not reset, so if you have left the phone in a certain screen you go to make a call or answer one and the keys react differently because you are not in the home menu. Generally the on board software is slow, clunky and ill conceived. Being Symbian - its not like any Nokia you have had before - Its just badged. No games for those that want them.
Good – This is a fantastic, smart-looking phone. I can get over the few "bad" things I said about - they are easily outweighed by all the gadgets on it. I now have a reasonable camera on me wherever I go. Heaps of features. 1 megapixel camera (you can actually get a descent pic printed, unlike a VGA camera). Comes with 10 free prints at fuji outlets per month till the end of 2006. Video camera. Great web browser - although expensive to use if you go over your plan's allowance(telstra). Superb display. good battery life. voice commands. Bluetooth - great with headset. plays mp3s. exellent calendar features. No games pre-installed!! Nokia have done away with "timed profiles" - I previously used that feature a lot. They also did away with the auto keypad lock.
