Nokia is a knockout with the 7.2 updated with new version of Android one – Having owned a 7.2 previously I was pleasantly surprised to discover android have updated the android one (11) platform with much improved graphics & many changes to the entire operating system price is a bargain @ just $189 on e bay the cameras are high quality & are perfect for capturing those tiny details on anything you have a need for . Great for capturing those ti ny details of your router when first installing Show details

Easily the WORST phone I have ever owned – Don't even waste your breath on this phone. It's simply impossible to live with. It constantly freezes and bugs out everyday. It's slow it's unreliable, it's perfectly fine one day and terrible the next. The audio is a big downfall with headphones plugged in the volume is really soft and you can't do anything about it. The finger print scanner on… Read more

the back constantly plays up if moisture/sweat gets on it even slightly which sets off the phone into a panic with the slide down drop down menu coming on and off repeatedly. The home button freezes up. In the middle of the night the Google assistant will just open up and start talking thinking you asked it something and waking you. It's just terrible. Battery life is average. The Bluetooth and Google maps on together puts the phone into limp mode and becomes unusable.I can't wait to get rid of it. I don't know how I've lasted a year.

Do Not Buy – My wife received for her 60th Birthday a Nokia 7.2 in 05/2020 and now the phone does not work it has completely shutdown, we have taken the phone to a Computer and Phone repair shop in Carindale they have ordered a new screen and then a new battery, but have just informed my wife that they cannot repair the phone, So I go on a search mission to… Read more

find a Nokia contact or a repair centre and you cannot do either, the nearest service centre is in Cardiff NSW and we are in Brisbane look for a phone number 1300366733 which does not work, and the only option is a Live Chat Line, I did presume we lived in the 21st Century and not the medieval times, We are going to have to purchase a new phone and guess what it will not be a Nokia, pathetic that a phone shuts down and you can do nothing with it and then I discovered on one of those online forums there are a Ton of people who have the same issue. My Advise stay away from Nokia Brand no matter the Price.

Very good. Great value for money – Never had a problem with this mid priced phone. You get what you pay for if you're lucky these days. Use it my only internet access without any complaints and speed is more than acceptable . Reception is as good as Apple phones in a remote work place,eg 70klm with a passive receiver or about 35klm bouncing off adjacent island. Camera is good (even takes RAW files as well) so again no complaints. Show details

Perfect Just Runs as good as the day I bought it – I bought this phone 2 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, 3 days ago. I have not had any trouble at all. Still runs Perfect like the day I bought it. Very fast, picks up phone signal better than my friends high end phones do. If you don't want a fancy high end over priced phone this is it. If just works and that's all I want. Play YouTube without a beat and… Read more

takes high quality pictures too. Hope when they make the replacement will be as good as this on. And the price was nice at the time too. No way will i pay $2000 for a phone just to make phone calls.

Bad start, worse updates! – Camera is actually really good.... When it works! Phone almost doesn't work out of the box, I had to chase up a couple hours of updates to make it functional. Very frustrating. The latest update, has completely changed the way the phone works, and in some cases I have had to re set the phone to get back to the home screen! Very disappointed. Show details

Worse phone I have ever had – I have had this phone for nineteen months it has now been in for software repair twice both for the same issues lagging, freezing and power on off button not working I am trying to get a refund but am still waiting for a response brought from Harvey Norman I am now lead to believe that this phone is now discontinued so my guess is that if it is repaired again they will use refurbished parts shame on you Nokia. Show details

Nokia 7.2 - A beauty ruined by HMD Global (Nokia) – 1- The phone was laggy since I purchased it but I didn't bother to return it especially during COVID outbreak in 2020 as I thought it was because of software issues. 2- Android One feature is worthless as HMS Global doesn't care about updating their phones on time, so the updates do not help at all! 3- Recently the camera app stops working or… Read more

never loads! It may need rebooting to use the camera for COVID check-in and such simple activities! I don't bother to take photos. 4- The phone freezes many times and the apps close randomly! 5- I have used the factory reset option many times. However, it hasn't helped at all, as it seems that the fault is deeply fundamental!

Want to throw it against a wall – The phone freezes many times every day. Apps shutdown randomly. This phone is incredibly frustrating. I sit constantly pushing app buttons over and over waiting for a reaction. I type texts but no letters appear for many seconds which always causes me to need to start again. Show details

Disappointed customer – I will begin with it doesn't support Facebook or Messenger. Photos I take disappear, and when I go into gallery there is just blanks. The Apps do not run smoothly. Some apps don't even run.  Show details

Should've been great - a decent package let down by software and lack of support for the Australian market – Should have been a *great* phone. Decent hardware specs, Android One, dual-SIM capable (or SIM+MicroSD), felt like decent build quality. But: - Long running issues with GPS navigation functionality, broken for several months following a system software update. - Camera app intermittently refuses to work (black screen) requiring a reboot. -… Read more

Screen randomly freezes and ignores user inputs for 5-10 seconds.

- Occasional random (noisy) reboots in the middle of the night while charging.

- Odd design decisions - the back panel has a nice *satin* finish that looks a lot like brushed aluminium. For some reason they decided to integrate a thin layer of glass covering to this though, so the first time it gets dropped the glass layer cracks.

These new Nokia android phones, while boasting decent-if-not-world-beating hardware and a bloat-free OS (Android One), are basically unsupported unless you live near the (1) 'service centre' in the whole country (Sydney).

I had to open a case with the Office of Fair Trading to get a refund/changeover so I could buy something that was fit for purpose and not be bound by impractical rules requiring sending it away interstate for assessment.

Spend the extra few dollars instead of buying a 'fringe' phone like this that hardly anyone else uses.

Samsung/Apple release a botched system update that breaks critical functionality like navigation: Tens/hundreds of *millions* of users affected, and it makes the news while they throw developer resources into fixing the problem and preventing further reputational damage.

Nokia releases a bad update: A few hundred people complain on their community forums and are roundly ignored.

Worst phone I have ever had the misfortune of owning – Absolutely useless! Never have i had to turn a phone on and off almost daily to get it to work. Continuous screen freeze. Shuts down several times a week for no reason. Hold it up straight and it changes to landscape then back to portrait without moving the phone. Drop down screen continually goes up and down for no reason. Apps work ok. Camera pretty good. 0 stars from me. Show details

Absolute Rubbish from Nokia – 1). There's isn't a lot of point in developing a 48px camera system in a phone, to create images that are way to large to send (even a single photo) via txt, unless the image is cropped down to virtually nothing! Sheer stupidity from NOKIA. To be fair SAMSUNG don't fair any better, having that same issue. These devices are supposed to be for… Read more

communication foremost!

2). The android-system rigmarole required to transfer a file to a desk-top computer or other device, is what it is, & is limited to that particular function. What I mean there, is that given the same android-system function-menu is also used for usb tethering, so it's not possible to transfer files from the phone while the usb tethering is turned on! (you can only pick one function at a time from the list).

So if you use your phone-tethering as the only modem for your desktop device (like I do), you will have to cut your internet connection off, & reselect "Transfer Files" from the andriod-system list again, in order to transfer any files from the phone.

3). Once on line in normal phone situations, the screen freezes way to often. Along the same line, the notifications dropdown, goes rampant (up & down).

3.a). Once the dropdown-menu starts going ballistic, the only way to stop it is to "power off!"

4). Power off: The phone doesn't power off 95% of the time. Press the off button & "the camera activates".

5). Screenshots: In normal circumstances, pressing the volume-down & power button at the same time takes a screenshot image, not with the Nokia 7.2. (The camera comes on!).

5.a). Screenshots: Pressing the power button down for a few seconds, in-order for a prompt menu to appear , rarely works. Usually (98% of the time, the pop-out list doesn't appear, but guess what, "The camera comes on!"

Resetting the Nokia 7.2 back to factory settings a few times, hasn't corrected any of the above-listed issues.

The Nokia development team should be shredded & reformed. It's clearly not a collaborative, cohesive unit at the moment (if it ever was!).

The product is clumsy (overall), for any end user to use & poorly put together in the first place!

Tech reviews are useless, when the phones are not being utilized & checked over an extended period of time. Out of the box who-har by any reviewer is exactly that!

It's only been 5 months (from new), with this phone & sadly it seems safe to say the Nokia 7.2 will not be getting replaced with another Nokia phone.

No longer the Nokia it used to be – We all had one 3310 in our life, but this phone although has a Nokia badge on it, it is not as well made as a true Nokia, in reality, it is one of the worst phone I have ever bought and I regret the purchase everyday. The phone look good on paper but the camera is no where near its Korean or even Chinese rivals. The screen is darker as compared to… Read more

most main stream phones as well. A darkish shadow around the corners make it look weird. The build quality is ok but behind competition, most phones these days comes with waterproof rating, for some that don't come with waterproof, their build quality and design is so tight that they can survive daily abuse of splash or washing. But this phone, the gap is so wide that all it took to end it's life is washing my hands next to it and some water splashed on the screen accidentally. Well for a daily used device that also store important personal informations, this device is certainly not something you can rely on. Nokia has lost its glory, that is reason why the first question people ask about my phone is: is that Nokia, it is still alive?! Still making phones?!. Well, not for long.

It was good on paper – Are you a usually calm person looking for a reason to fly into a white-hot rage? Do you enjoy forcing restarts on your phone on an almost daily basis? If so, the Nokia 7.2 is for you. Although I keep hearing promises of updates to fix this abomination, I've now had it for 5 months and the urge to throw it against a wall is becoming overwhelming. Show details
