Not a bad phone this one – Feels sturdy. Runs quite fast. Mine came with 6 gig ram and runs a lot faster than my previous Nokia 7.2. my turn for a new phone wife got last one. Takes pretty good pictures. My background pictures on the phone look really crisp and clear. Battery is really good and you can buy another battery and put it in once it needs replacing which is really good or have a back up one if your going bush. Sound is good too. Not really a gamer but words with friends actually runs faster and thats about the only game I play. Can hear the other person well in calls and have no trouble hooking up bluetooth or hot spots. No laging or getting hot. I dont use 5 G but I have seen other reviews that were not confirmed that 5G uses a bit more power. I really like the G42 think this should last a while.
07-08-2024 I have had it for a couple of months now. The best I got from the battery so far is five days of normal use. Also went for a six-hour train trip that I do, and my old phone needed recharging as by end of day would be at around 30 to 40 percent, with this phone it was 74 percent and that is with a bit of YouTube internet radio and hot spotting to a laptop, pretty good battery.
