Stay Away Renters - We rented through Novak some years ago. They lied about having the gas connected. The rear garage was used as a storage facility with people coming in and out.We were even paying for their electricity. We end up reporting the property breach’s to the council. Realestate agents like this should be shut down. All they care about is the owners.

Novak’s inability to be sustainable, respectful or accountable – I am lost for words as to why Novak are the only real estate agency in the area that serially and unrelentingly dump junk mail in my letter box. clearly marked NO. And it would seem that I am not the only frustrated local. Only 20% of junk mail is read - it is neither sustainable or effective but they do not care. So why would anyone trust the group who seem to have neither respect or accountability?

Recommended you avoid using Novak Properties – Novak is by far the worst agency I've dealt with on the Northern Beaches. The experience was terrible from day one. Many of the agents and managers have poor behaviour and bad attitudes. Their reviews on real estate websites are clearly controlled and filtered to not show negative comments or ratings.

Property managers -Poor service – One inspection completed in 3 years. Constant Follow up to get anything done. In the end we contacted owner direct to have things fixed. Deslt with 6 different people during our lease as often the staff moved.

We had a tricky company title sale with 2 old cranky biddies on the body corporate hell bent on making the sale fall through...Lisa and Michael were really wonderful with the potential buyer and even came and met her the next day for 2 hours as she was so traumatised by the body corporate bullying effort. Honestly..you would be crazy to not use Lisa and Michael..such a splendid team and they took all the pressure off trying to sell and were happy to do absolutely anything to help. Always good humoured and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks guys!!

Mark was always happy to answer our numerous calls and explain everything over and over late at night and even on a Sunday. No question was a stupid question or too many questions. Unprofessional and disinterested – These people will never gain a recommendation from me as an owner as they act only in the tenants interest. Lose money on rent. Poor unprofessional property management – We are an adjoining neighbours to a property that Novak Properties are managing on behalf of the landlord. We engaged Novak in September 2020 in regards to the replacement of a deteriorating, unsafe fence. We requested the owner's details so that we can try resolve this matter directly. The managing agent has conducted herself in an unprofessional manner and has made it extremely difficult in trying to resolve the matter. She has not been timely in her responses, even after multiple times of us following up. Due to her unwillingness to resolve this, this has resulted in the quote to replace the fence increasing by approximately an additional $1,000.

To date (6 months now), we are still trying to resolve this issue and this has resulted in us having to take Novak Properties to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, as they have not been forthcoming in providing the owners details or trying to resolve this matter. I would not be doing any business with Novak noting that we are on their receiving end.

We are extremely disappointed in what should be a straight forward exercise, being so complicated. The fence at the centre of this is held up by wire in some sections, is no longer upright due to some of the posts decay and being structurally unsafe. We are young family, and the tenants next door have a dog, it is only a matter of time before an incident may occur between the dog and our young child due to the structure of the fence.
