Sure...why not....and you can use it for many other things too, very good vacuum. Reliable and powerful.

Hi there S C. With his powerful suction, George should handle this job with ease, just remember to use the included vacuum bags and and replace them when they are full. I'd personally also recommend wearing gloves and a good mask doing a job like this, as depending on the type of insulation, you might find the material aggravates your skin and airways if you disturb it whilst cleaning it up. Suggest contacting your local hardware or safety supplies specialist on getting the correct mask for the job! Good luck with your cleaning! SK - Numatic Australia Team

I have indoor porcelain tiles throughout the home. Some are quite textured with a microtech finish while others have a matt finish. Would I be able to use George for vacuuming my tiles then washing them. If so is there a hard floor tool that can be used for both functions.. The tiles have a bit of grab when wet so tool would need to be replaceable over time. Thank you

Hi Susan, I've cleaned my indoor tiles with George, and also my outdoor balcony. I noticed that it turns out better outdoors than indoors, George does a great job at scrubbing the tiles, but after the vacuum sucks up all the water I did notice in some places that not all of it was collected and so it kind of left some patches that would need to be cleaned again. So I've used George to clean my carpets, vacuum car, clean balcony tiles, but I prefer my steamer to clean the indoor tiles, as with George I find that it doesn't dry up fast enough indoors to get a great result like you do with a steamer. Hope this helps.

What george tool is used to scrub the tiles, do you have a pic. My indoor tiles are quite textured and non slip so im not sure the cloths on a steamer mop would be robust enough.

Hi Susan, To see a complete list of accessories that the Australian spec. of George is supplied with, i'd suggest visiting this page which has a full breakdown: external link  George does include a double sided scrubbing wet floor tool (brushes on one side, squeegee blades on the other side for wet vacuuming) that will allow you to wet scrub your tiles, then simply turn over and then suck up to dry. All of George's accessories and spare parts are stocked locally here in Australia by us for replacement/servicing as required.

My best advice would be to try to find a George instore either at your local Godfreys store, or alternatively contact us on orders@edmondson.net.au with your suburb and we can try to help locate a nearby George stockist for you to visit.

Thankyou for that info. How would the wet floor scrubbing tool go if I used George for washing my indoor tiles each week. The non slip coating has a bit of grab when wet so was wondering how robust this attachment is and how it would stand up being used so often.

Hi Susan, no problem - happy to help! The brushes on the scrubbing tool are sturdy and designed to withstand regular use. On the other side of the tool are two rubber squeegee blades, used when vacuuming up the water you've put down on the floor when scrubbing. Its possible that these may wear slightly over time, especially on non-slip type floors but the squeegee blades can be replaced individually if required (we've not sold any in the last 5 years, so it appears these last well for most users).

Alternatively, the complete scrubbing tool is readily available as a replacement if required.

Ideally, if you can locate a George at your local Godfreys or commercial cleaning outlet, you can view the scrubbing tool for yourself and that might help you make a determination on if its the right piece of equipment for you?

Hey Jason, George is a fantastic unit and while vacuuming he is awesome. And I have done some rugs and carpets with him. I'm not sure if I'd want to use as a commercial machine, cleaning car seats etc. Sure would do the job but the best for the job, not sure.

Hi Jason, we use our George only as a seat and carpet cleaner for cars we detail and it gets used daily. The small extraction nozzle is still a little large for getting into tight areas but the unit is very good for getting most stains out, (we use it with Brisk low foam from Autosmart). If there are stains that won’t shift we use a steamer or a diluted G101 mixture and a brush to agitate the stain then go over again with the George. Works very well for us as a machine used daily on 2 or 3 cars a day without any problems since we bought it a year ago. Highly recommended.

Hi Jason, thanks for your question. We certainly find plenty of people use George in car detailing applications. Like the comments above suggest, it will do the job and depending on your usage volumes and environments, you may be best served moving to a larger unit - such as the CT570. This works in the same way as a George, but is made with a tougher structofoam material and has a bigger working capacity. You can view the range of our extraction machines here - external link

Hope this helps! If you need any further assistance, feel free to email our office on orders@edmondson.net.au and one of the sales team can help you find a dealer near you.
