5 stars - what a great appliance

I was really lucky to get it on sale and it is amazing. I cannot fault it. Bought it because it is ceramic and not teflon. It cooks everything perfectly, including eye fillet steak. Easy to use and easy to clean. I do wish the accessories were easier to find (I'd like a rack for inside it to double the space) but that isn't a reason to drop a star). LOVE IT. Photos are of pumpkin, chicken and a steak I cooked in it. Show details

Went from a $50 air fryer to a $200 one

I bought an air fryer for less then $50 and delivery. It wasn't bad and for that price if it worked it worked.

Eventually I needed a new one and, loving their blenders, thought why not an air fryer from Ninja.

It cooks food ridiculously quick. Always check if food is cooked through but some meals go from 35 to 15, even 10, minutes.

It cooks fairly evenly, I'm not a big fan of the type of buttons but they do the job, and on some settings it's extremely quiet. Show details

Where have you been for my entire life!

Resisted purchasing a air fryer for some time, thinking that it would not get too much use. Well how wrong was I!! This machine cooks and fry's almost everything, making the oven a redundant kitchen accessory. It is quiet, simple to use and easy to clean. I was surprised just how well it roasted a pork belly well under the oven cooking time, with cracking that was just the best. Naturally it is great for chips, wedges, crumbed prawns..the list is endless. This is now our best friend in the kitchen. Show details

Perfect every time

Having had a cheapie air fryer I thought I would upgrade and Inam so glad I did. Who knew it would make such a difference. This machine is amazing, easy and big enough for the snacks the kids make and the chips that I make. My mum has one and she loves hers as well. Show details

Love it

Love it and using it everyday.
This machine come with baking tray for extra crispiness which is a plus. Highly recommend.

After a few years update.
The crisp plate was coated with non stick and once the coating gone, foods stuck on the plate which is quite annoying. Want to but the replacement but it cost too much (like$40 ) that’s the negative I found. Show details

Was great ... until it died!

We loved this air fryer, it made cooking family meals quick and easy. Was fast to heat up. However it stopped working after 15 months. As it was outside of warranty Ninja would not fix it. Disappointing that it only lasted just over a year. Would have expected better.

Amazing. Would buy again

Excellent quality. If I were to buy again I’d purchase the two drawer option.
I’ve used it for mini roasts, various potato products, reheating pizza and many other things. It’s comes out amazing.
Much like an oven you do need to seat the temperature and time correctly to ensure everything is cooked evenly without burning. That’s to be expected of any cooking appliance though. Show details

Great little addition to the kitchen

I bought this a year ago. I have found it to be absolutely fantastic in terms of getting food cooked quickly when there’s only 2 people. I bought some extra accessories and have made scones and cupcakes in it. For the price, it’s an excellent appliance. Show details

Has anyone cooked pork belly in the AF160 & if so how did you do it & how did it turn out?

Flight Reporter
Flight Reporter

Marinate the pork belly in Lee Kum Kee Char Siu sauce(available from Woolworths) overnight and cook in air fryer at 200C(air fry) for 11 mins turning over every 3-4 mins. Tastes better that the pork belly from restaurants...

Yep, anything you cook in the oven can be cooked in the air fryer. Especially pork belly, the crackle is the best! I cook mine 15-20 mins upside down (meat side up) on 180, then crackle side up 20 mins on 200...yummo!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I’ll try both methods.
