Last week I purchased a container of Obela Hommous with Caremised Onion which I consume on a regular basis. When I ate some of it there was a piece of soft plastic in it. I didn't finish the container. I rang the contact number which wasn't easy to find and spoke with a friendly woman who took my details and feedback. She asked me if they sent a return addressed envelope would I send them the remainder of the container and the piece of plastic. I said yes. She said that they would also send some product gift cards as a token of appreciation. Today I received the return addressed envelope but with no gift cards. So, to summerise: I nearly ate a piece of plastic that should not have been in my food. I took the trouble to find the number and provided feedback about their un-hygenic product, and then they stiffed me on the gift cards, but want me to go to the trouble of sending their low quality product back. Low, low PepsiCo.
Follow-up · I sent them the faulty product with the piece of plastic, and a note to inform them that there were no gift cards in the correspondence from them. I have not heard back from PepsiCo. I will be reporting this incident to our food safety authorities.
