Omega Altise OAPC10 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: OMG-OAPC10Hi why is my Omega altise portable reverse cycle air-conditioning blowing out cold when on heat
Hi Edward, Thanks for taking the time to contact us with your enquiry. The OAPC10 is a portable air conditioner. This model is not a reverse-cycle appliance and therefore does not offer a heating function. Only cooling, fan, and dehumidifying modes are available. We hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our customer care team on 1300 694 583 or via email customercare@wwa.com.au Kind regards, The Omega Altise Team
I have the OAPC10 portable aircon. The on/off button seemed to have stopped reacting. I have drained the water tank and there’s nothing wrong with my extension cord as my phone charger works on it. So what could be the problem?
Hi Candice, Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your enquiry. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your Omega Altise appliance. Could you please try plugging the unit directly into a wall socket - without using an extension cord? We also recommend performing a power reset by unplugging the unit for 10–15 minutes, then plugging it back in to see if this resolves the issue. Please let us know how you go after trying the above steps. Kind Regards, The Omega Altise Team.
I recently purchased omega altise oapc10 instead of giving out cool air its throwing hot air what to do?
Hi Jignesh, Thank you for your recent purchase and for taking the time to contact us. We’re sorry to hear about the issue with your unit. Please return it to the store where it was purchased so that they can provide you with a replacement. Unfortunately, this is the only option. Thank you for understanding. Kind Regards, The Omega Altise Team

Hello, in principle, yes, it can be done however depending on where the leak is or source of the leak, it may outweigh the cost of a new product

Hi Omega, I bought my Altise last year, So 1 years old, Works good enough etc, But everytime i drain it or move it outside to drain the water and clean its filters ( filters are very weak also ... Accidentally broke a bit the first time cleaning them.... But anyways... Everytime i drain the water or even before then... It leaks from everywhere... The condenser etc... Up the top... I do love this machine... I got it for my now one year old... Who needs to stay cool... But I don't know how to clean it properly... And thinking it needs regassing again... As its not as cold as it used to be unfortunately.... We also can't live without an air conditioner... Due to my medical and my kids... As where we live... Its 120km round trip to take the air conditioner back to where i bought it. Regards

My portable air conditioner is leaking water even though I drained it completely the very same day it leaked. I cleaned the filters a couple days before it leaked and this is the 2nd time within 3 says it’s leaked
Good morning Soneta, thanks for contacting us regarding your portable air conditioner, These units will need to be drained more often due to the massive amount of humidity in the air at the moment, please give us a call on 1300 739 033 if you would like to troubleshoot with one of our consultants. Hi, We live in a very humid environment. Can I attach a drain hose to my OAPC29 model to have the water drain continuously? I have to empty the water tank every 45 minutes, and it's driving me insane.
yes defenitly check bunnings for hoses that fit and run it out your prefered location.
Hi the air coming out the exhaust is the same temp as the air coming out the front of machine it is set on cool and the comp light is on but it doesn’t feel like it’s cold have cleaned filters but no change

I've just bought and set it up,,,I think I've bought a lemon,,shakes, turns off by itself, not much cool air coming out,it's terrible. Is there something I'm missing?? And yes it's on a flat surface
Good afternoon Mandy, thanks for contacting us regarding your portable air conditioner, the usual cause of this model shaking and turning it off is that it is not on a flat surface but you have advised that yours is. If you feel that it is not performing to manufacture's specification please return it to your place of purchase for an exchange. The team at Altise.
Why is my omega altise portable air con showing 61 on the temp screen and when I hold the up and down button at the same time it changes to 03 for about 10 seconds and then goes back to 61?
I turn the appliance on and immediately after it shorts out and cuts the power supply, nothing in the manual for a troubleshooting solution
Are you plugging the unit in a powerboard with other appliances? Maybe overloading is my quick thought with little info. If plugging straight to wall outlet unit sounds fault.
Good afternoon Robyn, if your unit continues to trip your power supply please return it to your place of purchase for a replacement. This model carries a two year manufacturers warranty. Thanks for your enquiry. The team at Altise.

We have lost the rubber plug, is it possible to buy a replacement plug to prevent water from leaking from the bottom of the machine? Thanks
You can improvise and go to local Bunnings and look for product called silicone hose plug eg external link You should be able to find something that plugs in there.

I seem to be filling the water tray to quick when running cool mode it has filled itself twice in about 3 hours is my only option attaching a drain hose as my only place to put the hose is higher then the unit itself sits and unsure if it would drain properly
You mean dehumidifier mode? Running in cool mode is a straight AC no water should be collected.. dehumidifier mode yes it will fill water depending on dampness of room.
Nope its collecting in cool mode what could be causing this if its not ment to be happening
Good afternoon Mitchell, thanks for contacting us regarding your OAPC the massive amount of humidity in the air at the moment is probably contributing to the amount of water being accumulated please see below from page 10 of the instruction manual. If you would like to troubleshoot or require a manual please give us a call on 1300 739 033. The team at Altise Aqua Chill Technology When operating in Cool Mode this unit uses a self-evaporative system that extracts water from humid environments and collects it in an internal water tank. Once sufficient water is collected it is recycled over the condenser, assisting to cool the condenser and internal refrigerant gas faster than only air. Cooler condenser and refrigerant, means improved cooling efficiency and performance of the unit. Some of the water recycled over the compressor is evaporated and expelled from the machine as water vapour through the flexible exhaust hose. During very humid conditions the collection of water may be in excess of the evaporation rate and the internal water tank may become full and cause the WATER FULL indicator to trigger. In this instance the compressor will shut off automatically and a buzzer will sound. Pressing any button will stop the buzzer. You will need to empty the water tank before the unit will work again (refer to the drainage section).
