Omega Altise Portable Gas Convector Heater Series

Dodgy Website !!!!! Error message E12 kept appearing on heater. The unit is 2 months old. Tried to register the warranty on their website www.omegaaltise.com.au - you can't. Warranty tab + Customer care tabs return 'error' page not available. Contact tab returns error. Email address on Warranty card bounces back. Update Sept 25 Went back to Retravision who contacted after sales After sales said contact WWA - World Wide Appliances who carry the Warranty After a week WWA contacted me asking for more info After another week they approved my service request After another week they sent out a plumber (Winter is now over) Long story short: Don't buy Omega Altisse
Purchased in at RetraVision for $799.
- Room Type: Large Bedroom
- Smells of Gas: No
I think there are 2 options to 'improve customer experience': 1. Change the Warranty certificate that comes with the heater as that fails to mention anywhere customercare@www.com.au. 2. Taking 2 minutes with IT: Embed a link on OmegaAltise Website that links to customercare@wwa.com.au as per your link above.
As mentioned, as a last resort, I had to go back to Retravision to find out what to do. It seems to me when looking at your response that Omega Altise expects its customers to be either super sleuths or possess ESP. I used to wear a Casio so am sure you can get ahead of this!
Illegal heaters – Heater does not have a exhaust so it is illegal to install in your house Called the store they said bad luck
Purchased in at Buysmart for $699.
Flueless gas space heaters have been restricted for sale and installation in Victoria. A local gas fitter will be able to assist further regarding these restrictions.
Not practical and badly designed - avoid – Have just unboxed the Altise Gas Heater (15MJ) what a dud. It's not practical - so the way it works is set a temp. once heater/room achieves the temperature it will shut off and only start when the room drops 3 degrees (so when it gets cold again) and so on. Makes no sense. Cant set at 21degrees and leave on as it will switch off when the temp is achieved. Solution by Altise is crank temperature up to say 24 or 25 (room is too hot then) when temp drops to 21 it will come on again. Ebay here it comes,
Purchased in for $1,000.

Error E02 Issues - don’t recommend this gas heater – Bought this heater due to it having a long warranty 2 June 2022, 7 weeks old and it’s having EO2 errors (Flame Failure or Ignition Failure). A product not this old should NOT be having this error & the side handle is also getting untouchable due to the heat when this heater decides to work. At the price of $999 it’s very disappointing & I don’t recommend this gas heater.
Hello and thank you for your feedback. The E02 error code on the Convector gas heaters is a small fault that is easily repaired by having a qualified technician make a slight adjustment to the heater.
If you could send your details through to customercare@shriro.com.au I will be happy to arrange the service call under warranty.
Thanks and regards, David Vale Shriro Service
