Omega juicer not great :( – Been juicing for over 10 years have had a few and this would be the worse by far. Was due for new juicer so starting looking saw the YouTube tutorials/adds for this mainly regarding juicing celery which I haven't juiced before so thought I'd give it a go as if it was good with celery I assumed it'd be good for other juicer....I was very wrong does… Read more

juice celery pretty good however watermelon which is one of my main daily juicers its useless you have to cut the pieces small then you have to push each little bit through as it just sits above the "crusher" so very time consuming. Watermelon which is 90-95% water the pulp still blocks up the juicer I can only ever get through a quarter watermelon before it's completely blocked. Add citrus block after 1 fruit. Does pretty good job with ginger but apples again pretty useless have to cut the apple up into 8ths that right not quarters as its still too big for the chute then you have to push each piece through as it sits just above the "crusher". Anyway I definitely don't recommend this possibly if you only juice celery might be ok. but far better big mouth juicer from Frothie, Kurvings brands that I have had previously are cheaper and much much better for overall juicing.

WARNING! Do not buy this product or ANY product from Omega Juicer! – I don’t usually write product reviews since I’ve never, ever had any problems with getting a refund, product replacement or repair for a product before. Until I bought an Omega MM1500GY13 Cold Pressed Juicer With Celery Cap, that is. This is my experience with the worst customer service ever! I juice celery everyday and have been doing so for… Read more

over 5 years now. I decided to buy the Omega MM1500GY13 Cold Pressed Juicer With Celery Cap to maximise the yield from each bunch of celery. I received it in early July, 2022. It worked well for the first 4 months and I was happy with the juice that was extracted, although it was a much, much slower and therefore longer process than using my Breville Juice Fountain Cold.

Last November, I was in the middle of juicing a celery stalk when there was a loud, cracking noise and, before I realised what had happened, the locking ring shattered into pieces which flung all over the kitchen counter and the floor. All the parts connected to the drum and chute just collapsed. I immediately took photos and called up customer service to explain what had happened. I went through the proper procedure for claiming warranty. I requested, and fully expected, that I would get a replacement for the product, seeing as it no longer functioned as it should.

Well, was I ever wrong! Their solution was giving me a link to get the locking clip sent to me, but I was expected to complete my own repairs! In fact, they wanted me to unscrew the part where the locking ring was attached to in order to check for any more damages. I voiced my complaint to them, saying that I paid $679 for this juicer and what, I had to repair it myself? I questioned how they would know just from looking at the pictures I sent that the mechanism inside the housing/body of the juicer wasn’t also damaged. Furthermore, the customer service lady also told me that other customers were experiencing the same thing with the locking clip, so that was enough warning bells for me and I asked for a refund. My request was ignored and they actually closed my warranty claim after they sent me the link to the locking clip. I had to make more phone calls and send more emails asking where I can send the machine back for a refund. They eventually gave me a return address so that they can investigate my claim further. I made it clear I wanted a refund and that I didn’t want the machine back. I was reluctant to send it back, sensing that they were just going to send it back to me. Also, I bought the product in NSW but had to send it all the way to Queensland to have it looked at! It has taken from November, 2022 to February, 2023, to get to this point. I started enquiring about my customer rights with Fair Trading, NSW, at this point, too.

I packaged the product, including all accessories, and took photos of all the items and packaging. It was in near new condition when I sent it back. Even though customer service said they would inform me when they received the product, I had to chase them up. Sure enough, they eventually emailed me back to say that they have fixed the problem and that they would send it back. I reminded them again that I wanted a refund but they said that a refund wasn’t necessary since they have fixed the problem. I filed a complaint with Fair Trading, NSW. Unfortunately, it was rejected, claiming that since Omega had offered a solution, they were in the right. Otherwise, I had to pursue legal avenues instead.

I had no choice at this point but to get my juicer back. I confirmed my return address details but a few days later, I received a call from them asking whether I had sent the body of the juicer with or without all the accessories. In my head, warning bells were ringing once again. I had a very bad feeling about the product that was about to be returned to me.

So today was the day I received the juicer back. I took the juicer’s branded packaging/box outside the plain carton packaging. It was covered in dirt and dust of some sort. I took the box out for the juicer’s body first. I opened it and was horrified to see it was also covered all over in dust and dirt. Upon closer inspection, it was also scratched in so many places. This was not the near new condition I had packaged up and sent for repair. To make matters worse, one of the end caps had filthy, dried up residue around the screw part. The pusher was totally different to the original pusher that came with the product and it had some sort of animal hair on it. I was totally disgusted and rung up customer service again to voice my unhappiness with their product and service. I am currently waiting for a reply after I sent an email containing all the photos.

So if you’ve read this far and you’ve decided to go ahead with purchasing this product or another one from the same company, all I can say is good luck and that I hope it lasts longer than my product did – a total of 4 months. It’s now 6 months of headache after headache dealing with this company, and it’s still ongoing!
