Poor experience, terrible machine – Waste of money, this model is terrible. Very tight space and the door latch has constant problem. Switched to Bosch and happy days!
Not up to standard of previous OMEGA – I’m so disappointed with my new Omega dishwasher. For a start, it didn’t fit into the hole the old, same sized Omega came out of. An expensive visit from a kitchen guy and a now damaged side view of my cupboard is the result. My old one lasted 15 years without a hiccup. This one takes hours to do a simple wash. Yes it’s quieter but the dishes… Read more
aren’t even dry after a normal wash. Yes I’ve turned the rinse aid up and tried extra drying time! Secondly the inside racks are so cheap looking. The bottom rack does NOT roll in and out properly. Gets stuck on the door and drives me crazy every time having to jiggle it up and down to get over whatever it’s catching on. Anyone else have this problem? Can only fit about 2/3 of what my old one could fit in and it doesn’t wash the really dirty stuff as well. I used to only use the economical cycle on the old one. Can’t on this. Doesn’t wash properly. I’m hating it and regret going for OMEGA again. Waste of money. You get what you pay for!

Works great. Very happy – Update: April 2017 - Still working great 9 months later. The door stopped closing the other day but it was an easy fix with just a torx screwdriver, removing 8 screws to open the control panel door latch area, guiding a pin back into place and reassembling. Took about 10 minutes to fix at zero $ cost. I now use the finish pellets with the red… Read more
power ball - they leave most things nice and shiny. The eco friendly stuff just didn't clean as well in this machine. Plastics don't dry particularly well so you have to remove them, shake of the excess drips and leave them to dry in the open air handwash drying rack
Original review:
I bought this second hand from the first owner on gumtree for a reasonable price. It has been working like a trooper ever since.
It's a fairly basic dishwasher, but quiet and cleans well. I had reservations considering some of the negative reviews posted here but so far it's been great.
I only use the 60minute wash option which is quick and thorough enough for me.
I use the fairy dishwashing 3 in one pellets - everything comes out clean (so far)
Drying of dishes is not a problem so long as you open the door when the cycle finishes. I also remove any plastic items and place them in the drying rack on the sink. This is no different to any other dishwasher that I have used in that regard.
Pros:
Clean well
Quiet enough
Flexible layout can accommodate most pots/dishes
Glasses rack can be adjusted to 2 positions
Cons:
The top cutlery tray is a waste of space as it takes up valuable space from the glasses tray - no real problem just take it out.
Overall - Works great, take the top tray out and everything fits, use good wash pellets and take plastic items out to dry when the cycle has finished.
Works pretty well for the Price – We were a bit short on cash for our new house so went for this cheap Dishwasher in a brand that wasn't common but has been around a while. We have it plumbed to the hot water instead of cold to save power as we have solar hot water. We've had three previous dishwashers and this one seems the best so far, it fits large dishes and the wok in. The… Read more
cutlery draw is a cool idea that makes more space for dishes and pots etc. Its got a great timer that allows me to set it to start its cycle in middle of the day when the solar power is generating. I always wash it on the Heavy 3 hour cycle and other than baked on stuff it washes fine. I also try not to overload it, I stack different sized plates alternatively and make sure the dishes face the spinning water jets as much as possible. You do have to open the door an inch when it beeps at the end of the cycle so the dishes dry, but that is the same as all the previous dishwashers we've used. In nearly daily usage since Dec 2015 its never missed a beat.
It's an insult to pieces of junk to call this a piece of junk – I've had a few dishwashers over the years, and this one is by far the worst. The good: Came with the house, practically brand new. Somewhat quiet, which is good as it doesn't actually clean most of the dishes each time, so it's on a lot. It's not bad looking. We didn't buy it, so don't feel so bad getting rid of it when it's less than a… Read more
year old.
The bad:
Doesn't wash.
Doesn't dry.
Can't fit much in due to stupid layout.
Cutlery draw is annoying.
Tablet draw thingy doesn't open most of the time.
Look, it works okay sometimes, if you don't put much in it, use the top quality tablets, fill it overflowing with rinse aid, and pretty much clean the dishes before you put them in. But then you have to dry them afterwards anyways, especially anything plastic. So, pretty much we find that's it's quicker to wash anything big, or plastic, or large glasses. Actually, pretty much everything.
Omega should be embarrassed by these, the people who sell these should be embarrassed these. I hate it so much I'm going to give it to my brother. It's likely to cause a family breakup, so I am a little worried.
Avoid. Buy a cheap Bosch. At least they are made in Europe, well if you count Turkey as part of Europe.
Positive reviews
A small but functional dishwasher – Came with the house I bought, so I guess that counts as buying recently. I've used it quite a few time since and I'm always happy with the result. It loses points because it's a bit small and the trays don't really allow for me to stack things in a logical fashion. Other than that, I'm happy with it and it looks good Show details
Drying – All modern dishwashers do not have drying elements inside the cabinet, to dry dishes they rely on residual heat to evaporate the water. having the correct amount of rinse aid coming out is imperative this is dependent on how hard your water is 1 for soft 5 for hard. The rinse aid smears the water allowing better drying. Internal drying elements were the commonest reason for house fires.
READ INSTRUCTIONS A MUST!! – I decided to write this review based on the fellow reviews on this site being so negative. What I found most surprising is the people who have posted these negative reviews have the answers to their problems in the manual provided with the dishwasher? For those who's dishes are WET. You have got to, GOT TO use rinse aid and top it up after every… Read more
use! I don't mean that home made stuff that destroys the rubber boots inside the delivery system I mean the blue dinky dye stuff. If your dishes are still not dry refer to the user manual where you will see that some of the program's don't include drying to save you $$ on energy hence the wicked energy rating this machine has.
Dinner plates CAN be placed if you move the top shelf up a level and remove the cutlery rack and alternatively use the cutlery basket (also provided)!
Ensure if hooking up to the hot water tap that your water is not over 60degrees or just go the easy way and hook it up to cold.
If you like your cutlery draw (as I do). I moved the top shelf up and put my tall glasses down the bottom. Seriously disappointed in the bad wrap this machine has got as I have not had one (touch wood) problem since installation. I actually referred a mate who directed me to these reviews and had decided to buy a machine that has recently broke down in the first month of use. I am a family of 8 and there's not one problem with capacity.
People these days always want the "cheaper option"; use the right stuff for the right machine and it will last. You wouldn't use cooking oil in your car why would people use cheap dish washing liquids/tablets/powders??
Every dishwasher is going to have to be "tweaked" to suit the individual. If you have large dishes, large cups, large glasses etc then maybe this is not for you; but giving it a review that confuses a potential buyer and puts them off over things that are not factual or individual issues isn't fair for not only the economy but the company offering the product. Everything - especially the cutlery rack. Would also suit an elderly person as opening the door is easy. Cutlery is always clean Nothing yet.

Worst ever!!!!! – Worst dishwasher Ive had wont clean at all, cant fit things in, wont dry....its 8 months old and free to anyone who wants it. I'm a plumber and have installed many over the last 20 years and ended up with this one as Eight Homes Builders special, Ive always recommended Dishlex, LG or Bosch to my customers and never herd a complaint. Pretty Bad Dishwasher – This is a highly problematic dishwasher and while it works okay when it doesn't have problems the amount of repairs it has needed makes this dishwasher a terrible purchase. At the moment it is unusable because the bottom department has flooded, something that I cannot fix myself. Cleans are also a hit and miss. Every so often I am having to… Read more
put the cycle on twice because after the first one the dishes are not cleaned properly. Another MAJOR issue is that it very often does not release the dishwashing tablet therefore I have to put it on another clean. If you want a cheap dishwasher look elsewhere because the money paid on repairs adds up and I wish I had just spent the extra $ on better one.
It does not dry at at all – the technician says that the wet dishes is because of the government's demand for a high energy rating, and that I HAVE TO use the heavy wash cycles to get drying, which does not make sense to me. either the rating requirement is wrong, or the machine does not make sense to me Show details

EXCELLENT PRODUCT – Cleans all dishes exceptionally well especially pots and pans , no residue from detergent and dishes are completely dry within a few minutes of the door being opened after wash cycle, it is quiet to run and absolutely love the adjustable height feature on the to shelf so you can fit larger items below Show details
This is the worst!! Stay away!! – This washer is by far the worst piece of junk I've ever owned. It makes the dishes dirtier... it doesn't clean dishes it just wets them with the food from the other dishes and leaves food all over all of them. Do not buy this!!! I had a dishwasher in the 80s that was way better than this. Show details

Worst dishwasher I've owned – Doesn't wash dishes properly they are still wet when finished water doesn't get hot enough shortest wash cycle is 2 hours absolute shocker Would never buy Omega brand Came with the house so warranty not valid for full period it should be I've had a dishlex, fisher paykel, blanco all these brands much better by a mile Show details
Worse appliance ever purchased – The first problem was the dishes coming out wet. When I complained to the manufacturer I was advised to get a repair person to look at it. He found nothing wrong and told me to use a rinse aid. Then I kept getting E8 codes. Each time my partner has had to pull it out and clean it out. Many times, despite putting dishes through the long cycle two… Read more
times I finally pulled them out and washed them by hand. Now I am getting E4 and despite giving it a total clean it will not start. For a machine around two years old this isn't good enough. If I had the money I would replace it but for now it is back to hand washing dishes.
So far, so good- fingers crossed – This model was on sale so we took a gamble (not being a major brand name) and bought it. It went well for the first 3 months then the drain water light came on and I had to get a serviceman to deal with it. Nothing major and was easily fixed. Cleans dishes well and quiet and has enough options to easily use. Like I mentioned, so far, so good.
WORST DISHWASHER EVER – This dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes. I would given it 0 stars if this review site let me. Dishes are dirty despite doing a heavy cleaning load. This dishes come out very wet and have to dried before being put away. don't waste your money.
4 service calls I sent it back after 2 months – Powder often caked in box even if the flip lid actually opened, had to dry all dishes by hand we didn't realise how bad it was until 1st wash in replacement F&P wow the dishes were gleaming!
Not happy! – Have purchased a house with this dishwasher in it already, do not like it at all. The dishes are often not washed properly, constantly have to rewash most of cutlery that I put in the cutlery tray. Have decided to remove the cutlery tray and put in a larger cutlery basket instead. There is always gunk left in the machine ontop of the glasses from… Read more
not rinsing properly. Have tried long and short wash cycles and there is no difference. Called supplier and was told to only use powder and not tablets as the water does not heat up enough to totally disolve the tablets...... works a bit better using powder but still not 100% Totally dissapointed especially when I complained to the supplier and was told that the warranty is not valid due to I was not the original purchaser of the dishwasher even though it still has over 6 months left on the warranty!
Broken down twice in 1 year – I must agree with several reviewers that this is not a good product. we have had this dishwasher for just on a year and it was repaired only 3 months ago and now it has failed again as it is not draining. Last repair took over 1 month as the repair agent lost the Harvey Norman repair order then when he finally turned up i had to wait a further 2… Read more

Fortunately we got the product care with this so we are at least covered but i want a replacement not repair.
As others have said this dishwasher doesnt dry the dishes they are almost always wet . The only way to get them dry it to open the machine as soon as the cycle ends to let the steam out!
the only good thing about this machine is the cutlery drawer. Std cycle is nearly 3 hrs!! we have always used the 1 hour cycle.
Probably the worst dishwasher I've owned so far – Our Bosch Classic was failing to start it's program at times, repairman said $500 on parts - ouch. Oh look here's an Omega with $799 RRP going for $439 - sold - take that repairman!. Oh how I wish we did get the old one repaired :( Where to start. First had to lift the 2nd tray (glasses etc) to fit the plates in. Ok no problem, oh but now… Read more
any semi tall glasses won't stand up as the cutlery tray is in the way/knocks them over. Ok so learnt, put the shorter glasses/cups on the outside and slightly taller glasses on the lowest section. Real tall glasses (wine glasses) have to go on the bottom shelf now.
Now the pots and pans - hmmm the spacing on this tray is rather tight. I can't even fit saucepan lids in upright, guess I'll just have to lie them down taking valuable space - now I'll have to do the pots later - sigh. (thinking of cutting out some holders to make wider spacing so items like saucepan lids will fit in). Oh and speaking of plate holders - can they please stop falling down when I add items in there. Oh and don't think you can use that row on the front left bottom shelf for anything much at all - it blocks the tablet dispenser, oh look lets do the dishes yet again.
Hmmm I thought (previous ones have) dishwashers dried to a reasonable degree. After going through all the programs, only Intensive seems to dry, others leave a lot to be desired. Adding rinse aid (ignoring that the tablets say no need for it) helped a little here.
So basically with a bad design, I'm now having to do 2 loads in the dishwasher on intensive (2h 30m - strangely quicker than Normal at 2h 45m) in what I could easily do in the old Bosch in 1 load on 90 minutes. Never again will I go cutlery tray, despite it appearing like a great idea, it's a pain given the time to load individually and the space it takes away from the other shelves. Oh and a few times I'll have to do the cutlery twice as food remains on some of them as water doesn't always make it there with trying to fit things in on the middle shelf.
Intensive is the only wash cycle I'm happy with, all others leave a lot to be desired. Pity I was hoping I was getting a bargain. I don't know if all Omega are like this, or just this model. It's my first with the brand, probably last due to this model.
It would suit only those that don't have that many dishes (1-2 people) but for a family of 4 it's taking 2 loads to do what should still easily fit in 1 all too often.
So not happy with this one. First time it fails outside of warranty, it will be replaced. Price Internal design (space), Cutlrey Tray is anoying
Update: E8 Error recently and now the pump has died today. Out she goes... good riddance.
Happy so far – Was nervous about other bad reviews but am very impressed. It washes dishes for a family of 4 to an excellent standard with cheap powder on the 1 hour cycle. Very quiet and easy to use. Can't vouch for longevity but for a budget dishwasher I'm thrilled. Had plumber install but probably could have done it ourselves.

Great Value – I've had this dishwasher 2 months now and am very happy. The cutlery tray is excellent and I have no issue fitting glasses underneath it contray to what others have indicated. My wife and I also liked the heavy duty baskets and overall quality. Honestly at under $600 this is an amazing value. Cutlery Tray, washing quality.
Omega is a thimbs down – When they start to leak, in 24 mths you have to get parts that are not worth spending your money on . They are badly designed to last just past the warranty and will rust away in a few years . You would be better off with either an expensive one or just buy 3 or 4 and swap them out every 2 years. Hehehe Price was ok Bad design short lifespan
If you love to wipe up every dish and item of cutlery after it has washed, then buy this dishwasher! – Worst dishwasher ever. Does not dry dishes at all. Everything sopping wet. Water only heats to 60 degrees which is not enough to evaporate the excess water after the final rinse. Normal program takes 2 hours and 40 minutes. Tried heavy and intensive programs to get hotter water but no difference, everything still soaked after nearly 3 hours of… Read more
washing. User manual states that 'eco' programs are for dishes that 'do not need drying'. This implies that the others should dry your dishes. Rang Omega hotline and they were useless simply stating that this dishwasher does not have a drying function. In all the dishwashers I've had over the years this is by far the worst. Even other cheaper ones were more effective at getting enough heat into the washer to enable water evaporation to dry the dishes. Don't waste your money. Harvey Norman talked it up big time - they are an exclusive retailer so presumably get better commissions. I felt ripped off so took back to Harvey Norman and got my money refunded. Spent double and bought an LG - at least it does what it says it will do! Interior shelf layout is good with a separate cutlery drawer up top. What's the point if it doesn't work and you have to manually dry everything?
Not happy Jan – Omega dishwasher odw707wb had this machine for 3 weeks and the top spray arm split flooding kitchen, service person said this was a common fault, now have had the machine for 3 months and the plastic draw runner bracket has disintegrated and the guide for the top spray also perished. Cheap quality plastic as i have never had this problem with 2… Read more

It' a Dish Washer ! – Owned a number of dish washers over the past 30 years, varied brands, varied prices from the dearest to the cheapest. Honestly noticed very little differences from all brands. regular used dish washer. Read the reports on the latest Omega washers and was shocked at the negative feed back.
What the hell ! The old one was a Trojan, let's do it any way.
Six months later and very happy with our purchase. Gee guys, this is a dishwasher and does the job very efficiently and quiet.
Cutlery draw is a total bonus. No bending over, easy put in and take out, not just dumped in a basket and hope for the best.
Our dishes etc come out dry. Leave them in for hours after the wash and sure, they will come out with water residue, like any dishwasher will.
Draws adjust, so our pots and pans fit with ease.
Spend a bucket load of Money for a more upmarket brand and get the same results, if not less.
Your choice.
I would recommend my Omega.
Disapointed – I was sold by the cutlery tray, unfortunately that's where the good points ended. Everything gets jammed up in the top draw as there is not enough room between it and the cutlery draw. You can however lower the top draw but then you can not fit dinner plates in the lower draw. Plus also the draw rollers stick making it even worse. The screen at… Read more
the bottom of the unit to catch food particles is a very poor design and hard to remove and refit. Cutlery draw was a great idea.
I just cancelled my order after reading these reviews. so glad i checked.
This dishwasher is not even close to being fit for purpose – Doesn't clean well at all dispite a 2 hr 40 min cycle for normal wash. Residue on all dishes and cutlery, even the basket and side walls. Does't dry, dishes are still wet the next day. The wine glass holder falls down just by tapping it with the next glass. Glasses for red wine come out brown, so it can't even clean a red wine glass. with my rental apartment, otherwise I would have taken it straight back to the store for a refund, NO I would have made them come and retrieve it instead. I don't think much of the Omega oven or gas cooktop either. To a previous reviewer, if you remove the cutlery tray and hide it in the laundry you can then raise the top tray according to the instructions then normal sized plates will fit.
Please don't think that the reviewers have got it in for this machine. Every word I have read in the reviews is 100% accurate. Be Warned. Its stainless steel so it looks ok, otherwise it has no redeeming features and best described as a bit of modernistic kitchen furniture. Doesn't clean. Doesn't dry
I agree. Have had same problems!
Gold Coast Hotelier - DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER – We are Hoteliers on the Gold Coast and have been for 14 years. Unfortunately we had a flood in our apartment and the Blanco dishwasher wash ruined. So we had the insurers pay us out to purchase a replacement dishwasher the Omega listed above looked great and the price was exceptional! ever used, purchased, doesn't clean and it just does not do what a dishwasher is designed to do - clean and dry dishes!
This particular model does not dry dishes what so ever, inside the dishwasher and dishes are always soaking wet it would have to be the worst I have personally used!
Simple pay for what you get - DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!!!!!! looks and price WILL NOT DRY ANYTHING - ONLY WASHES
Can't fit plates – Standard round dinner plates do not fit in the plate rack, useless! What's the point of having a dish washer if it doesnt fit plates. Have only used this to wash bowls, cutlery & glasses. Cannot recommend this at all.... Unless all you eat out if is a bowl or use bread & butter plates for main meals, then you should be fine!
Move the top draw up.
Horrible waste of money – There is nothing good that I can say about this dishwasher. It does not clean dishes well at all - they are left dirty and will not dry them - which doesn't really matter given you have to rewash everything anyway! A 'normal' cycle takes 2 hours 45 mins to complete - a total joke. There is a 1 hour cycle you can use, either way whatever cycle… Read more
you use it will not clean your dishes. There are problems with the latch in the middle draw which is made of cheap plastic that leads to the middle shelf dropping down onto the bottom dishes mid cycle.
Have had this dishwasher for 6 months and I have used every dishwashing tablet and rinse aid out there and have read the manual at least 10 times to try and sort the problem out.
I have experienced nothing but sheer frustration, avoid this dishwasher, total waste of $700. Thank goodness I had a 5 year replacement warranty - which I will use to replace with a different brand. Nothing - It dosen't even deserve one star. Everything

Nice strong baskets, Washes and disolves tablets on all cycles so far including the fast wash (I use fairy tablets)- Yes it doesn't dry the tops of mugs but I am very happy with it. Rubbish! Rubbish! Rubbish! – We bought this machine in Nov '12 after renovating our kitchen and ousting an in working order 11 yrs old Westinghouse, it's only fault being that it was a 'whitegood' and we were matching up 'silver' goods. After 2 months the Omega broke down, not pumping water out, pooling in the bottom, it also did not dispense the soap properly AND never ever,… Read more
ever dried the dishes. Endeavour in Brisbane who handle Omega(and were marvellous) organised a replacement machine for this lemon, which we have had for 2 weeks. Doesn't dry dishes.Everything completely wet!!
Avoid – My daughter bought this one and is very frustrated by the lack of drying, plates don't fit , broken glass due to difficult arrangement in trays.
