Waste Of Money. What a disgraceful product built by omega! – Unhappy from the get go. Had 2 issues within 2 years of purchase. Grill element was gone & oven card was gone. Now having 2 new problems. Overhearing and switching off. Omega is supposed to be Excellent this is just junk. Come on omega own Up fix it or replace the item or give me my hard earned $2500 I payed back ... contacted a repairer… Read more
he wants your soul just to come out and your liver to take a look. $100 call out, $22 per 10 minutes + parts cost ... you got to be pissing in my pocket and telling me it's raining.
Dont buy – Worst stove I've ever had. The plank across the bottom never sits properly, got it replaced, still doesnt sit properly, so it looks crap across the bottom. The elements in the oven stopped working (both of them) had them replaced about 4 months ago, both not working again. Blows out hot air all the time, which is really not good through summer in Australia. Show details
Recurring faults and poor after sales service......OMEGA Will not take ownership – We bought an OMEGA oven primarily because of the good brand and reviews at the time. It is a lovely oven/cooktop when it works. My previous oven lasted nearly 20 years. This Model has had 3 issues in 3 years and progressively worse. The latest is the electrical board, element and fan all gone approx $500 to fix, luckily I purchased an extended… Read more
warranty. Waiting for parts, it's been 3 weeks. I raised this with OMEGA but they are not interested in taking ownership of their sub standard product. I will never buy an OMEGA again.
OMEGA OF902XA – I bought my free standing oven cook top in 2011 and lately I have had problems with the back right dual hotplate as well as the back left hotplate. That took an effort to get fixed and EXPENSIVE. Now the main oven fan forced is not working, only the bottom grill. The clock is showing like a lock on left top side. There are no instructions showing… Read more
this icon in the manual. My electrician cannot work it out as all the "switches" appear ok. I tried to call Omega yesterday Saturday and waited 40 mins and gave up. My problem is that I don't have time to wait on the phone during my work hours. Does anyone have a clue because I don't. SO DISAPPOINTED!
poor design – Had a number of issues over the last 5 years. Fans have been replaced, rear left back plate repaired once and replaced once under warranty once. Just repaired the same plate again myself as I found the connector had burnt away. There has to be a design problem that causes the connectors to burn out like this. size of oven and cooking area glass… Read more
top is not as easy to maintain as first thought. after 5 years use, there are numerous scratches that make it look dirty even when its clean.
July 2015- Fan has just broken again.
Twin fans are a Joke – After being convinced that two fans were better than one for an oven, I have never regretted buying something so much. It is terrible when cooking a roast, or chicken or moist cakes. Nobody told me that two fans dries everything out almost twice as fast, so I purchased a $2500 fan forced oven which I can only use when I turn off the fan. That's… Read more
why no other brand copied this idea, it's dreadful. Gas cook top is reliable and has a great heat up time. Oven is terrible, two fans = everything too dry
This is a terrible oven – I have had the oven for a year. It comes with two fans. The first fan broke in August. Took ten days to get the fan replaced. Four weeks later, the second fan broke down. I've been waiting ten days for someone to come out and replace the second fan. I have not been able to use the oven for a fortnight. It's ridiculous that the fans should… Read more
both break down within a few weeks and the oven is only a year old. The repair man who came out to fix the first fan said the fans were not put in properly where they were manufactured. I recommend to anyone buying an oven to beware..... Do your homework before you buy an oven or any appliance. I wish I had... Nothing. Everything in the oven gets too dry. Two fans are way too much. expensive.
when i turned my oven off last night it kept heating and the fan wouldnt turn also the clock kept… Read more
Excellent – I loe this oven, and does look so good in my kitchen. Cleaning the stove top isnt to difficult if you use a stove top cleaner every now and then. We worked out it would cost us more to have gas installed, so we paid extra to get the ceramic top, but no dissapointments there as it heaps up super fast. Heats up really quickly, the different sized… Read more
'elements' on the stove top means you have always got one to fit any pan, the oven works like a charm, can fit sooo many pizzas in it! costs more than gas
Love this oven! – Been using for 4 months, love it so much. Agree with previous comments re: drying out & heat flowing in the kitchen. For baking cakes you have to use the fan sparingly. Great for cooking meat, but can dry out vegies. Easy to clean although if things burn on top it can be hard to clean, especially as you cant use abrasives on it. Our goal is to… Read more · 1
become totally powereed by solar which is a reason why we chose this oven (the other is that we are not on town gas where we live and bottled gas can get expensive). heat, elements, look, dry's things out.
Good – Cooks meat well, doesn't dry it out for us. Roast potatoes cook to perfection. The vent is annoying in Summer. Cooks well, oven heats up quickly in (convection mode). Ceramic top is easy to clean, variety of element sizes is useful. Ventilation fan and oven light come on as soon as you turn on the oven. Oven has 5 different cooking options, but… Read more
NO instructions. I had to contact the manufacturer to get an explanation of each option. Contrary to what the manufacturer says, the oven heats up quickest in 'convection' mode, where both the top and bottom element are turned on. The fan cooking mode just heats the oven and vents it out at the same time !? Doesn't have a pyrolitic self cleaning mode like Smeg ovens.
Terrible – Might be OK for a large family in a cool climate, but don't buy this if you live anywhere warm! The stove top is good with lots of different hot plate sizes, and heats up well. Large and looks good I hate all the hot air that gets vented into the kitchen - very energy inefficient, and while it may be pleasant in winter, it would be a nightmare in hot weather
