Onkaparinga Fully Fitted Electric Blanket

Cold feet – I’ll try another brand. Middle of bed does not heat, nor does the bottom where feet lay. May be okay for short people who never come together. The electric attachment to blanket far too thick, uncomfortable to lay on and wakes me up if rolled thereon. For a blanket company with a good name, “inferior product”.
Purchased in for $220.
No longevity – This is my 2nd onkaparigna electric blanket that is going to go back under warranty, 1 side has come up faulty, as did the first blanket. Both lasting no more than 18months and half of that time it's not used as the weather is warmer. Won't be getting another of this brand!
Purchased in at Harris Scarfe for $90.
Takes forever to heat up the bed and still not warm enough – We were excited to purchase this electric blanket to combat the cold nights in winter. It is a brand with 150 years of experience, cost at $200 for a King size electric blanket, we believed we have got ourself a quality product from our online order. It has a simple user dual controllers. However after unboxing the electric blanket, and took out the user manual, we read that it took 30-60 minutes to warm up the bed, or even longer depends on the temperature of the room. This is way too long to heat up the bed, as we have purchased other cheap brand before, and it only took about 20 minutes to warm up.
We immediately call up Harris scarf the next day for exchange or return. Unfortunately because we have taken it out of the box to get to the user manual (even though it is sill in its plastic bag), we can not return it.
With no choice, we are stuck with this expensive electric blanket that is too good to throw away. e put it on the bed and tested it out, it just gets luke warm after an hour, no mater what setting we put on 1,2 or 3, it never gets that toasty warmth we used to get from the other cheaper brand we used to have.
The good thing about it is that the wires are thin and doesnt feels as uncomfortable to sleep on. However this takes ridiculously long to warm up and doesnt reach the desired warmth really puts us off. So we end up not freezing when we get in the bed, but unable to enjoy the warmth that we used to get.
I did write to Onkaparinga straight away and provided the feedback and asking for suggestions or solutions to this, but never got a reply from them.
