Great phone, has outlasted almost every other phone I've had – This phone is solid, can handle a fall, the camera is very good and it is nice and fast and reliable. It kind of mimics the iPhone interface, not sure that is necessary being an Android phone, but it is easy to use all the same. It has had its share of battery and charging issues and can sometimes lag but definitely recommend it anyways as being robuts and sturdy it outlived most of the big name brands that would shatter at the slightest touch. oppo phones have been comrpomised by the spinmaze app virus – oppo phones have been comrpomised by touchpal installing a virus app called spinmaze which won't let you delete it otherwise it keeps reinstalling itself, oppo refused to make a public statement about it nor release an update and patch to fix, they don't care about their customers, not only that i just looked at a photo i took from 2020 which was… Read more
great and now all my photos are grainy and terrible which makes me wonder if that is done on purpose to force people into upgrading, i moved away from iphones for that very reason.

My first ever oppo – My first ever oppo this was what made me switch from iPhone on never go back its the best. Better quality photos better quality software better everything. Great clear camera. Tons of brightness, night mode settings. So many customisation options for background calls messages fonts it's great. I love that Google Play has so many more options than iOS app store. Okay for a budget phone – Camera quality is quite poor except when outside on a decently lit day, colours are not accurate (red lipstick turns brown etc) and not sure if the camera has a beauty feature I can't turn off that blurs the quality or it's just that poor, either way still annoying. Forget about night photos. But anyway it's an okay camera, just not as good if… Read more
you want accuracy, my iPhone 5 camera I bought around 2014 was better than this even though the MP on this is much higher.
Does basic calling and texting functions alright. Keyboard glitches sometimes though, and audio on calling etc is the worst I've seen on a phone, kind of sounds like someone is in an enclosed small room when you hear them, and people always have severe trouble hearing me when they're on speaker (This didn't happen with my previous phones).
I love dark brightness as it let's me use my phone in the dark comfortably. But conversely, it's brightness range on the other end of the scale is so poor I usually can't see my phone when outdoors in the sun, in the shade it's still hard to see.
Phone design is light, thin and rose gold backing is gorgeous!looks and feels expensive for a cheap phone I got for under $300
Impressive !! – This was an OPPO A73 I purchased for my Daughters 13th Birthday. I was hunting everywhere and I even attempted to purchase her a phone over Wish, (see my review on Wish). This was to be her first phone and I wasn't looking to pay too much. This model phone was priced at around $300.00. At Kmart it was on special for $259.00, I picked it up at… Read more
JB HiFi for a negotiated $239.00. About $50.00 more than I had anticipated paying, The bonus was It came Unlocked.
This phone has all the bells and whistles and runs as smoothly as any Samsung or Iphone. This has been a great phone so far and it came with gorilla class protector and a gel case. I purchased a Huawei Y5II about 12 months ago and they are chalk and cheese. If i had, had enough money for 2, I would have purchased a second device.
This is a great device, it had the latest Android OS. It comes with good size memory and memory expansion. It has a very good camera and a crystal clear screen with great resolution. This is a more than ample phone for her needs at a great price.
A very impressive device.
My very first 'smart' phone. Will come in very handy when travelling – Not a big mobile user at all and quite happy with my current basic 'talk only' phone. Do a lot of overseas travel so was looking for something light weight I could use to act as a spare camera, connect to hotel wi-fi to check emails, store some games (maybe) and even use as a phone. GOOD STUFF: Quite easy to use, nice big screen, fantastic value… Read more
for money, has loads of great features (which will probably never use) and a really good spare camera.
BAD STUFF: Start up documentation is woeful - doesn't even tell you where the on/off button is or even how to insert a SIM card. There is a downloadable manual - 359 pages worth !
Don't try taking the case off to insert cards - you will break the phone. Instead you have to use this tiny sewing-needle thing to eject a small tray. Only then can you insert SD and SIM cards. The camera is very good but you cannot transfer any images to a PC unless you have set the phone up to store images to SD card. Oppo really needs to update its software drivers.
WEIRD STUFF: What's the difference between 'pictures' and 'photos' when you look in files? Why the different names for the same thing?

Best phone ever – Best phone ever! So sad that they're not on the market anymore. Wanted to buy the family one. Please please please bring this phone bavk to retail. Just as it is. Show details
Amazing phone – Had for nearly two years. Dropped so many times still works perfectly. Only downside is internal memory issues after a while. Camera quality is decent for a cheap phone. Easy to use. Show details
Oppo phone and brightness – Have had this phone two years and found it to be reliable with apps running well. The power saving mode (under settings - battery) needs to be switched off (and brightness turned up) to easily read screen in bright sunlight. Worth checking if the screen appears dim. Show details

Failure to hold Corina apo – After 2 calls to helpline phone still won't hold onto corona app. Battery saver keeps coming on to turn app off. Going back to a Samsung more reliable this phone isn't keeping me safe Show details
Never buying an oppo again! – Worse phone I have owned, stalls, slow, lags, you name it, its horrible. First and last oppo I will buy, going back to Samsung. Don't waste your money stick to the bigger names Show details
Terrible Product, terrible service – Bought an Oppo A73. After 3 months started having serious problems. Regularly turned itself off, had terrible lag, camera literally took 5 seconds to capture a picture, apps didn't open. The issues were endless. Spent hours upon hours trouble shooting with the Oppo service centre to no avail. After wasting too much time asked for my money back.… Read more
They then wanted me to post them the phone at a time when I am quarantined, thereby living without a phone, until they looked over it and sent it back. Oh, and all of this is well within the warranty period. I've never had a product that has performed so poorly, and where the after purchase service has been so bad.

Price Point Perfect – This phone has been the best for what I use it for that I havent bothered updating to a newer model in nearly 4 years. For the price I paid back in 2018 it has been resilient, robust, never let me down or died on me, stored what i wanted, taken good quailty pics for social media. Oppo is a brand that we have come to love and trust Show details

worst customer service – Had issues with the battery life, sent in for repair, 5 days without a phone and its still not working, have to send it in again. Do yourself and don't deal with this budget, tight business. I regret buying this phone. At least paying the extra. Waste of money, you'll get no life out of this phone. Show details
Cheap and works great – The apps work very well, i use my phone to make money online most of the time and this phone keeps up to date with all my apps and doesnt lag, im very happy with the camera and the brightness of the phone. Its a really good phone for a cheap price. Show details
Oppo phone – Great phone great price just as good as the Samsung phone easy to use and easy to set up I would definitely get another Oppo phone when I need one Show details
cheap decent phone – decent good android phone. a little slow and display not premium. would recommend for cheap but workable phone with ok functioning. bought from woolworths with optus deal. would suggest latest updates for usability.
Love it!! Just like an iPhone at a fraction of the cost! – Great phone, I couldn't afford to replace my iPhone so opted for this little Android. Only paid $249 & it's very similar platform to Apple, easy to use, great camera. Has option to put memory card in for extra storage. Seriously the only thing I could say I don't like is that the emoticons could be more updated, but thats nothing. Great value for money. Don't think I'd pay so much for Apple again. Show details
Great phone for price – Great camera, used for everyday things, call, messages, banking, Facebook, email, apps, lots of storage. Very strong glass, can be a little laggy if to many apps opened. Highly recommend. Show details
Poor product. Would not recommend – I am extremely disappointed with this mobile. People who call me experience their voice echoing back at them. I have returned my mobile for repair but it is still experiencing the same problem. I suggested that as the mobile was only 10 months old that they replace it as I feel it is a lemon. I was informed that mobiles can only be… Read more
replaced in the first 3 months. The first time they send a postage free label the second time they gave me a Repairer address. I would not recommend this mobile.
Best phone ever! – I can't say enough good things about this phone. The battery life is astronomical. It just continues to last hour after hour without going flat. I watch a lot of you tube videos and so forth, and it copes really well. The display is excellent. Very clear and easy to view. This phone is just as good quality as the expensive competition. I'm very happy with it. Show details
The Oppo a73 is a good price, easy to use all ages young & the elderly, has excellent camera & video – I just bought Oppo A73 Rose Gold colour & it comes with a clear rubber cover, instructions, ear piece, re charged etc. It was easy to put my old sim card, my Vodafone sim card & my new Oppo phone was up & running, I love the finger print & photo recognition & its got a very good key board nice & big, you can change & make letters bigger if needed.. its a very easy simple phone & good price, I love my Oppo :) Show details

replace the screen protector immediately! This screen protector that comes with the phone was highly rated – This screen protector that comes with the phone was highly rated as a top quality tempered glass screen protector! I just dropped my phone, the screen protector is unscathed, however I can peel it off without it shattering and my actual phone screen is smashed up. All previous phones I have purchased a tempered glass screen protector off ebay… Read more
cheaply and when ive dropped previous phones the screen protector shatters not my phone screen. As well i have removed a tempered glass screen protector before and it shatters when you remove it! This one does not as I discovered that just now when removing it to find its in tact but my phone screen is totally not! So effing dissapointed and peed off right now!
Love it – The Oppo a73 is a great phone for any age, as I dropped mine over 100 times and never once did it break, I only ever had it in the clear cover it came with but I'm very happy with my oppo
Don't Purchase If You Want A Fast Phone – After 1 year of everyday use, I can say easily: Don't buy this phone. I bought it as a replacement for my Huawei, and it's crapped out after only one year. It worked well until about 7 months of use, when Instagram, Chrome and Twitter stopped working as quickly as they did before. Now, the camera app take around five seconds to take a photo,… Read more
deleting image can take around 30 seconds an image, the music player no longer plays music and the battery charges much slower. It also has some mild screen burn issues. This phone should only be bought if you want a basic, cheap smartphone for texting and calling with the occasional Google search. Not worth your money.
Phone constantly dropping out – Phone constantly dropping out, it sounds as though you are talking underwater, then takes 5 minutes to re dial the person to whom the phone crashed upon. Returned original phone to seller, and received new phone. Tried to contact my provider to find out if it was that service was causing problem, they advised it was the phone. Show details
Disappointed – The call volume is low. Hard to hear person on other end. Can only take calls in quiet room with no other background noise around otherwise you struggle to hear. Screen brightness is also crap. Have to focus really hard. Show details
Finally found a phone that does all I expect – Particularly at the price. Great battery time and charges up in an hour. Excellent screen quality. Size is real handy. Everything seems to be working well, six months in. Like it very much Show details
Very long battery life – An inexpensive and good phone overall for average use (phone calls, texts, internet, apps, games). Has survived being dropped several times and the battery life is outstanding. survived being dropped lots of times
Cons: Settings changes don't always save properly Persistent updates are annoying
Value for money – The phone is an amazing for its price. Compared to an IPhone and a Samsung it might not be as quick but ur only pay a 1/4 or less than the price. Other than performance sometimes being a little bit slow (only talking about a second or two) Never let me down and would highly recommend. Show details
cheap phone with all the features – camera quality is decent price was in 199$ aud from target locked to optus very happy with durability and brightness phone came with case and screen protector so didnt have to purchase them separately apps run smoothly but time to time we have clear them cache memory Show details

Good phone – Good phone for price. Good baterry life, I ve been using this phone for past 3 months and I have to admit, it meets my expectations. I apretiate 2 sim option, I use two numbers ( sims) on A73 without any problems. Face recognition is quick, quality is also satisfactionary. Only complaint I have is about low volume when on prowided earbuds. Show details
