Powerhouse flagship at a reasonable price – I've used the Oppo Find X for over a year now. It was the borderless screen, with the lack of a cutout for the top camera, that really attracted me. They are able to do this by engineering a mechanical popup which houses the front and rear camera, sensors and led light. Like most people my main concern was the reliability of the popup… Read more
camera/flash from a relatively unknown Chinese brand. I'm please to report that the mechanics are going strong after a year.
Pros - Quality build - glass front and rear. - The screen is almost borderless! Beautiful design. - Pop-up is reliable after 1 years use. - Pop-up has proven to be a great conversation starter - everyone is intrigued when they notice your phone move. - Great camera, quality was comparative to my Google Pixel (which at the time had the best camera you could buy in a phone). - Flagship specs for a mid range price. - Fast - no lag. Can run any app seamlessly. - Well integrated with google apps.
Cons - Oppo installs their music, photo and video apps. I use google apps (e.g. google photos) or streaming services. These started causing problems when you connect to bluetooth as it plays the Oppo demo song by default (you can not change this setting to Spotify) since I don't have any music installed on my phone. - Lack of accessories - You have to buy your screen protectors and cases online. No one will stock them as there is little demand for them.
Overall my experience with Oppo and the Find X has been fantastic. I highly recommend the brand and fully intend to buy the new Oppo Reno 5g in the coming months as an upgrade.
Good screen, average software – It’s a speedy and lightning fast phone. Good specs and fast charging. The main attraction would be the full edge to edge screen. However, as far as software goes it is pretty lacking. Os is a bit of a letdown, with minimal customisation options. Good for day to day simple use but there are better phones out there Show details
Not worth the money – At first, I loved the full screen and hidden camera. The issues I have with phone are: it lags and freezes (logging in, during call, using apps); when in silent, the vibration is not sufficient enough to feel in a pocket; does not have NFC; the screen scratches easily and a lot of dust gets into the camera; Photos are not too crash hot and neither… Read more

I'm pretty disappointed really. I don't think the phone should have been $1,000. Maybe $500. Seems midrange to me.
Love love love this phone! – One of the best phones I've ever laid my hands on - it's so fast and the battery lasts for days. The pop out camera is a cool function and it looks sick - I love that there is no notch. The only negative thing I have to say is that because of the pop out function, the camera is very fragile. I dropped the phone about a week after I got it, with… Read more
the camera open, and now it struggles when it pops in and out. It still functions but I think it's a pretty big issue. Definitely not enough of an issue for me to regret buying the phone though.
