Might look awesome but keep your hard earned money – Have purchased 3 of this item as a replacement to my other smart watch. After reading up on the team and was hoping this was a keeper, i made the biggest mistake ever. The watch itself, does look great, has awesome colouring but that is where the positives go. Purchased all 3 in August 2022. Within the first month, my Vanilla was beginning to have issues. Would not link to app, continuously un-syncing, totally losing any features and freezing many times. Would have to un-sync/uninstall/reboot/hard reboot etc. due to Xmas was unable to do anything, even though I called Oppo help line and still to this day awaiting for Technical Services to contact me. Fortunately for me, was in-store of where purchased and had proof of situation. Speaking with Oppo in January 2023 on 5th, again escalation in process and still awaiting correspondence. Was more than agitated with the item as it was not even 3 months old with a whole lot oof issues. The watch is useless and a waste of money. That was my watch.
Well, 1 month later, both other watches are in the same predicament. Have been corresponding with Oppo, but only communication is complete when I follow up. Again, same old same old. Telling me to check the app, needing app updated etc. If you uninstall the app and reinstall the app, the new version is loaded. If one needs to continuously hard reset, there is definitely an issue. You almost have to laugh because as many times as I state i”m not in NSW or VIC, they tell me to take the watches in for service. Communication is poor if the service attendant doesn’t bother reading the requested details. Keep on repeating that I’m not in these states. Don’t even think about sending the item to the service centre either. You are looking at 1 month to 6 weeks turnaround, if you are fortunate. Was informed by retailer this is the time frame I’m looking at. Oppo denies the time frame, but prove themselves wrong as I have stated, still awaiting Tech to contact me from 5th January. Was also informed by store, a reference number provided b Oppo and the store will replace or refund. Oppo, won’t provide reference number.
Overall, please take the time if you are looking into the Oppo watches as I also noticed the discontinued model was reviewed by others poorly. I am more than annoyed that we purchased x 3 and got extended warranties for an item that doesn’t perform.
