Oral-B Pro 800

Says on box and marketing blurb “2 minute pro timer”. Ain’t no timer on the one I purchased. Pulses every 30 seconds but doesn’t indicate 2 minutes has expired. This a case of over promising and not delivering? Purchased at Shaver Shop online so will be a pain in the you know what to return.
Purchased in at Shaver Shop for $39.

Garbage. I’ve returned so many NEW Oral-B electric toothbrushes over the past year as all of them perform so poorly, especially compared to the one I’ve had for three years. But see, God forbid they sell you a product that you can use for longer than six months . This latest one wouldn’t even fully charge. The amount of money they charge for their now rubbish products is obscene. Time to change brands!
Purchased at ALDI for $49.

Very poor performer – I bought this to replace a Smart 5000 which had prematurely died while I was on holiday. The Smart 5000 is not a bad brush… as long as you find one on special but it failed far too soon. Nobody actually pays full price for any Oral B so I had to waste a few hours looking for a new one with the usual 50% off. I’m sorry I wasted my holiday really.
The action is slow compared with the Smart 5000 and starts slowing from the moment it’s off charge. The battery life is about half what’s claimed - 4-5 days when used twice a day. How much money do P&G save by putting in a smaller battery?
There is no pressure sensor (that works anyway) and the black panel makes the brush look dirty in 5 minutes. In fact the only good feature (which probably doesn’t work) is the return policy.
These brushes are a scam. The heads are way overpriced and the brushes are filled with features nobody really needs… Bluetooth? An app? And there’s always a half price sale somewhere. The designs and names seem to vary by retailer so you can’t compare prices.
All this adds up to a fully disappointing product experience and a lack of trust in the brush and the manufacturer. It’s so unnecessary.
The brush is being returned, either as a defective product, or as a product which does not meet the advertised specifications or as a part of the 180 day refund. My experience of this brush holder does not appear to be unique so if you want to help customers, either correct the manufacturing defects, or change your advertising to reflect the substandard performance.
