Very disappointed – Supposedly amplified, ???? Boost button, useless, Volume control, non effective, contacted support centre a number of times, advised to use “ Speaker Phone “ B. Usless, sound distorted Show details
Did not meet expectations – Given this is an amplified phone the amplification is not what I needed needs to be more adjustable phone has good features even when the boost function was activated, disappointed Show details

good overall – Works very well but is not easy to set up. Had the help of the customer service to set up and work out how to make it work well for hearing impaired. Great customer service.. Show details · 1
Purchased for elderly Mum – Manual is tiny, too small for my elderly Mum to read. I had to print off instructions from website. Only rings for short time before going to message, not enough time for elderly Mum to answer. Show details · 2
great phone – Great phone....My only negative is that the maximum volume setting could be higher, otherwise works really well. From order to receiving via Aus. Post first class. Well done Oricom. Highly recommended. Show details · 1
You claim the voice is loud for elderly, but this is normal hearing tone – Claimed this phone was perfect for elder people as loud system. Only works loud if on speaker can not hear if not on speaker and the phone only rings for a short time.

goes to voice message after 4 rings - too quick – The main phone goes to Voice messages after 4 'rings' - which is not enough time for me to get to the phone to answer the call! VERY annoying. Also, the boost button makes a very small increase in the volume. Show details
Hi there, thanks for the review and feedback. We wish you all the best with your future use. Oricom.
Much better than my old phone – I can hear people much better now provided the other person is using a landline. Phone is easy to use, sound is clear, audio boost is great. However, I've found that when talking with some mobile phones, the sound is muffled, maybe due to poor interface between different systems. Show details · 1
Works great – Nice loud ring on base station. Able to hear well especially on speaker. Button easy to use. Remote station could do with louder ring but I know this comes from handset so unless a speaker is added to charging station then probably not much can be done about this. Other than that very happy Show details · 1
Not loud enough – The volume was not loud enough for my 87 year old Mum so I returned the phone Oricom were great in organising this and then I purchased the Pro 610 this rings a lot louder but it still has its issues as she has to use the speaker phone to hear but at least she can hear conversation now . Volume – The volume still not loud enough for my 92 year old Mum. I will again reset and start again to confirm set up correct. Reading the product I thought it would be perfect. Show details

This has been great for my father – This phone has been great. My hard of hearing father can easily use on speaker and it does not interfere with his hearing aids. The built in answering machine is great for those calls he misses Show details · 1
good for hearing aid users – phone good for hearing aids Not good for normal hearing .recorded voices sound muffled and a bit distorted eg phone banking -only has 5 rings before the answering message starts Show details · 1

Care629-2 – I had a Oricom eco85 that I tried to get working to my Telstra Gen1.1 modem. Eventually found out this is DECT6 the USA standard. I eventually got the information I wanted from the support group. The Care620 uses DECT2 the Australian standard. There is nothing about this in the user manual that was included with the phones or on the Oricom web… Read more · 1
site. Good product but not enough specs are made available to tempt the public to purchase. Not enough information about the T-Coil feature for hearing aids either. Very fast delivery by post.
Quality handset.... Love it!! – Our phone line is not one of the best. We are nine kilometres from the exchange and because of this situation we got VERY low audio levels with every handset that we tried. Then we were told about the Oricom 820 and at last we can hear callers clearly. The "Volume Boost" works perfectly. We recommend this handset to anyone in similar circumstances or are hard of hearing. Show details · 1
Easy to use phone – Happy with this product. Two issues however: 1. Boost volume setting should be set as default and I shouldn't have to manually increase it to boost every time I receive or make a call. Standard volume is too quiet even when set to its highest level. And I'm not hard of hearing. My mum has this phone too and has to always put it on speaker… Read more
otherwise she just can't properly hear people on the phone. 2. Blue indicator light on the phone should have ability to be dimmed or turned off at night. Its quite bright and can be annoying if the phone is in the bedroom.

Bought form my elderly parents – My mum is visually impaired, so I got this phone to aid her. The blue back light doesn’t work for her visual impairment, they both keep accidentally blocking the phone, and there is no answering machine (I should have looked, I assumed they all came with them, so my fault) Show details

No good – Boost needs improving for someone who wears hearing sides. We have gone back to our old hand piece. Very unsatisfied with the product. Needs more options for older people with hearing issues. Show details

Bought for the price – Phone was bought for my 93 year old mother, she finds it hard to hold without accidentally pressing keys. The ringer volume is not loud enough and is hard to hear in just the next room. It does not ride well in a pocket so is quite awkward for her to carry around the house. As a care phone it fails. Great for me but for mother. Show details
