Excellent just not Perfect – I'm not an astral traveler so I do boring stuff, mostly almond milk and veg juices. I don't do grasses no one's ever heard of or exotic legumes. What I can tell you is, this does a bloody good job of sorting the juice from rest. The only let down is juice filter which tends to crack after prolonged use. It's a poor design in that it is already… Read more

pre-stressed in manufacture so when the screw is driving the solids into it, it comes under increased outward pressure (and that's what squeezes the juice out). What it needs is a band around the outer cone and then, it would be perfect. Other than that, I love my Oscar Neo and I'll sing its praises all day.

New owner analysing this purchase – Haven’t owned it long enough to give a valid star rating so just gave it one to start with, but that is for the following reasons. Just bought a DA1200 for $539 at KW and noticed a few issues. The product says ‘made in China’ on the seller website but the box it came in says ‘Made in Korea’. The sellers website indicates a motor speed of 80rpm but… Read more

the manual it comes with says 63rpm (although later in the same manual it indicates 63-75) Another site indicates 70rpm, this is a pretty important specification for a slow juicer. The instruction booklet has a number of written deficiencies and is definitely not as comprehensive as the DA1000 manual. The DA1000 comes with 6 attachments compared to the 4 that the DA1200 has. The only difference I can clearly see is the shape of the DA1200. You might expect a more powerful motor when you are spending more money for the “1200” series as opposed to the “1000” but all have the same 200 watt motor, which is a pretty small electric motor in any case. I am left with the impression that the only real difference is “marketing” of the product. Another issue is the pronounced movement of the auger and Main body which doesn’t “augur” well for longevity on first impressions. After ringing Vitality in Byron I was told this was a design feature of horizontal juicers but I tend to think it is an engineering choice to limit costs of manufacturing because of the forces involved. I also looked at the stainless steel strainer and was surprised at the small surface area which is designed to extract juice, it isn’t surprising that other owners have had to replace this item a few times but the cost is reasonable compared to the purchase price, however others have indicated they are often out of stock. They are all made of BPA free ultem polycarbonate so there is no difference there. Well, after all that I made a carrot, celery, apple and ginger juice and it worked well, even with the pronounced movement of the main body (My previous juicer experience has been with a Panasonic, Champion juicer and earlier Oscar which we gave away because it was so slow) A final point, the marketing indicates a 15% increase in the size of the feed tube. All I can say is that the original must have been minuscule as you cannot feed a quarter of an average apple down the feed shute without forcing it. I suggest you attempt to try it first before you spend the money and perhaps look at the DA1000 as it seems to be the same thing but in a different shape.

I just opened this and used it for the first time and it is better than I imagined – I just juiced a large amount of carrot, celery including leaves, bok choy, yam bean, cabbage, broccoli and an apple. All worked perfectly and quickly and the juicer was surprisingly easy to clean. I have only owned it for fifteen minutes I admit but so far I am astounded with how great this is. Definitely worth the expense. Show details ·  1

The juicers leaks juice – It leaks when I make juice... in the grinding chamber. It is not easy to clean and maintain. It is harder to clean than the previous model. We make healthy juices. We would use it more if it worked better. We make fresh juices about once a week. Keep making improvements...  Show details

Since the purchase and use of my Neo I’ve seen significant improvements in my autoimmune symptoms – Juice from machine is clear and not frothy. Fresh and delicious. Kids love consuming their veggies from it. Quiet and easy to clean. Entire family of 7uses it daily! Great value for money! Love it more than my thermomix as that constantly gives me troubles and the warranty on this machine gives peace of mind. Has helped decrease our meat consumption and overall food bill for a family of 7  Show details ·  1

Amazing juicer. The quality of the juice is second to none – Very happy with the juice I get from the juicer. It’s not too loud...extremely easy to clean and assemble / disassemble. I use it a couple of times a week and juice all sorts of vegetables and fruit including fresh herbs. The juice is vibrant and delicious even my kids who are fuzzy eaters love the juices! Great way to get greens into them :)  Show details ·  1

Love my juicer - need cleaning advice from tumeric and carrot stains – I love the juice. Neo isn't very loud. The strainer, rotating piece and plastic hopper have stained from turmeric, carrot, & spinach even after scrubbing hard straight after in soapy water. I use it daily and make 2 x 500mls carrot, turmeric, ginger, baby spinach, cucumber, parsley & celery. Loveeeeeeeeeeee  Show details ·  1

Loving it so far – So far we are very happy with the result we get from juicing, Havent had a chance to practice using it for the other uses. The machine is so much quieter than our other juicers over the years. Its easy to clean and maintain. We use it everyday for our morning veggie juice.  Show details ·  1

My Neo DA1200 works Turmeric shots like a pro – Extremely happy with my Oscar Neo so far. I bought the Neo to predominantly prepare 600g turmeric, 300g of pineapple, 250g ginger and have a lemon or two to help dissolve turmeric oil build up. Produces min 1ltr of turmeric shots, store in a glass bottle in the fridge and lasts me 9-10days *add black pepper to increase bio-availability. Brilliant… Read more ·  3

quiet powerfully low rev motor, easy to assemble/disassemble, reverse button prevents one having to jam pieces down chute (a no no), easily runs for 10-15mins. The curcumin resin that builds up is thick, the Neo is SO easy to clean (turmeric can stain) wash immediately after use with my lemon myrtle cleaner and hot soapy water - not a problem. Will be put to the test with the massive turmeric harvest ahead ;)

Fabulous juicer – Love the product, easy to assemble and to use. Also very easy to clean without too much hassle. Very healthy way of consuming vegetables and fruit. The pulp I give to the chooks. Love the machine. Brought my Oscar Neo through Vitality 4 Life and was delivered fairly quickly. Glad it was held at Post Office when I wasn't home to collect it.  Show details ·  1

Problems with strainer cracking – I love the Oscar juicer but have troubles with it. I originally owned an Oscar DA 900. My juicing strainer kept cracking when I was juicing. This was frustrating as I loved the juicer itself but I had to replace the juicing strainer 3 times at $33 per time which was not cheap. Also, the strainer was constantly out of stock for long periods of… Read more

time, I presume because other people had this problem. I contacted "Vitality for life" about this and I was told I was overloading the juicer or forcing things down which was causing the strainer to crack. I was very careful after the first strainer cracked and very gentle with the juicer and still the strainer cracked.

I was told that they had solved this problem in their brand new DA-1200 so I forked out for a brand new juicer. I get it home and I am not kidding, the strainer cracked the third time I used it. This time I noted that I was juicing a lemon and I think the lemon seed made it crack but the strainer has to be strong enough to handle a few seeds doesn't it? So I bought another new strainer, at a cost of $45 (which I think is very rude and expensive!). When I juice my lemons I remove the seeds which is time consuming and a pain but I am taking care of my juicer and since doing that the strainer has not cracked again.....so maybe it was lemon seeds all the time that caused it. But if you are selling a juicer you would think if it can crunch carrots it can handle a lemon seed or two!

I hope that they can fix this problem with the juicing strainers and/or lower their pricing on the replacement part.

Magnificent Juicer – The juicer is very quiet yet extremely powerful - it juices through tough vegetables without pause. The juice that it produces is first rate and it is easy to clean. The staff at Vitality 4 Life were pleasant to deal with and very knowledgable about their range of products and provided excellent advice. The item shipped quickly. I didn't… Read more ·  1

Great product love it – use it every day and it is awesome, easy to use and to clean and looks great on the bench especially in red. the juice is perfect and the waste goes to the chooks or into a meatloaf. When we going camping i take it with us as is easy to transport and very light.  Show details ·  1
