Today (28/11/25) I visited Panthers at Penrith with work colleagues. I saw the restaurant Ossos on the way in and thought I'll buy a steak for lunch. I was shown to a table, ordered and waited. All was good to this point. I ordered a 500g lazy aged sirloin (well done)steak with a potato, broccolini and mushroom sauce. The meal arrived and I… Read more

proceeded to eat it. I hadn't noticed at that stage mash potato which was terrible was on the plate. I attempted the broccolini which was insipid in taste and caused a reaction in my throat. The steak was tough as old boot and burnt on the outside and pink in the middle (this is not a well done steak. Amateurish at best) my workmate joined me and was ignored who mentioned a steak knife shouldn't struggle to cut a $66 steak. The waitress enquired as to my meal whereby I explained the was rubbish food. She spoke to the chef (a chef would not serve this kind of meal) who offered to cook another one which I declined as my opinion is get it right the first time. I then went to pay but the chap on the front desk was too busy on his phone and I told him to put that down and do his job. The meal was discounted and I left. I then spoke with my work colleagues and was advised they would not recommend Osso for steaks as they (6 of them) had had the same previous experience. One said it's hit and miss at Ossos. Lift your game Osso....a very disappointing dining experience
