Oukitel K6000 PRO SIM2 problem after installing nougat official update – After installing the official rom on my Oukitel K6000 PRO I faced SIM2 not working properly and giving IMEI invalid error. But thanks to this guy who saved me. The phone was perfectly working with the Marshmallow version but when I updated it to Nougat, I had some serious problems with SIM 2 so searched google and found out that Oukitell does not provide a solution so I found the following article helpful. thanks

WARNING: Only works on Optus and Optus resellers – My experience; this device only works on Optus and related resellers of that network. My research also appeared to show this was true. Happy to be told otherwise but in my situation neither Telstra nor Aldi would work; resorted to Amaysim (Optus). Even that is a bit flakey at times, falling back to 3G but that maybe due to the inferior Optus network.

Phone is good value, but you get what you pay for and it is definitely not comparable to a high end handset. Oukitel make their savings by reduced sensors in the phone and operating radio frequencies. Many may argue these are features not needed by most people (until they find out later). For example a comparison of sensors between a Nexus6p and a K6000plus. Nexus6p=veryLongList. K6000= 4. Eg sensors missing; no compass, hence not able to tell direction you are pointing in a map with much accuracy. It does have a GPS (one of the 4). Screen seems good and bright - very good for outdoors. Battery unbeatable.

Contrary to other reviews this phone is not stock android. It is lightly tampered and close to stock Android; but either it is or it isn't - and it isn't. So we have the usual problem of android manufacturers tweaking with the OS and as a result no over the air updates from Oukitel ever forth coming; Hence no operating system upgrades nor security patches - and that REALLY REALLY bugs me and for that reason I can only recommend phones with a true version of stock Android or otherwise go iOS. But I understand others will be completely ignorant of this significance or value.

Camera is very average but certainly sufficient, however that comment comes from the perspective of being spolit with the quality everyone now expects in a phone camera. NB Noisy results in night shots. NB had to cut away (trim) the provided clear plastic protection cover around the flash as it was interfering with photo output (flare).

Charger provided must be used to get full rapid charge on the big battery. Consequently, you will need to use the Aus adaptor which makes the final setup very clunky to the point I found it couldn't hold its own weight (charger) in a walled socket. Others my find a better solution ...would love to know so please share.

Wifi is n protocol only (doesn't have the newer ac protocol).

Phone was bought for someone else.

I really like the direction this phone is trying to take but just a few critical points that defeat its utility for me.

A very good phone for users expecting little from the phone (low expectation or low tech need) but perhaps a long battery life. Eg. kids, those on a tight budget, those unfamiliar with basic tech. Others may be disappointed.

Great Phone – After having an IPhone in the past, moving to this android phone has been seamless. What is great about this phone is the very large screen and the exceptionally long battery life which is about 3 days. The only negative is the length of time to charge the battery. I am very happy with this phone.

No more running out of charge – Has amazing battery life, two days easily. Has micro SD and 32 mb phone memory. Large screen and one of the best bits $210.00 posted to my house. Has android 6, and excellent screen. Not all is fantastic wished the screen had back lit keys at the base. But apart from than, Yes amazing

Love the battery life – I have had the K6000 for some time now. Love the 5.5 screen size. Super battery life, i no longer worry about it, two days +, easy. Android 6 and the memory, 32 gb is a plus. I like the ability to have sd card too. First phone ive had with finger scanner, love it. Any gripes? Just one, the three virtual buttons on the base, home ,return, etc are not back lit. But for the price and other features, its a real winner for me, Robert
