Great for clearing up one-off breakouts & accelerating healing of existing persistent acne – The main points are: * This product is ideal for people who have had one-off breakouts and want to clear them up fast * If you have persistent acne, you will probably still develop acne while using this product depending upon what the cause of your acne is * The difference between the percentage dose of benzoyl peroxide (2.5%, 5%, and 10%) is the… Read more

drying effect with stronger doses producing a stronger drying effect on the skin. They are otherwise equally as effective in treating acne. * Use this product if you want to accelerate the healing process of your existing acne

OXY range vs. Benzac AC range: If you are weighing up whether to get this or the Benzac AC gel, I've used both and they're equally as effective so I'd say the choice should depend on how severe your acne is. If it's mild, you probably won't need as much time or product to clear it up so there's no need to buy the 60g Benzac tube and the 25g OXY tube should suffice. But if your acne is moderate to severe, the 60g tube is more value for money if you are going to buy it from Chemist Warehouse (it's $29 there at the moment and it has lasted me two and a half months using it once to twice a day compared to the $15 OXY tube which only lasted me a fortnight with the same amount of use).

Also, although the OXY creams are advertised as invisible, I found that it was visible as a white layer on the skin (akin to sunscreen but matte) no matter how thinly I applied it. It also has a mattifying effect so the area you applied it onto will appear very matte compared to the rest of your skin, especially if you have naturally oily/combination skin. As the others have mentioned, it also has a strong bleaching effect on clothing, bedsheets and towels but I also found that it bleached the hair around my face so make sure to keep your hair away from where you've applied the product when you have it on.

Here is my full review of the Benzac AC range which also applies to the OXY range: https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/b6264994-7aa6-5f72-8fb4-837e2e8e9db4

Caused anaphylactic reaction – Didn’t work on the acne, and it caused a severe rash and anaphylactic reaction requiring hospital treatment. I’ve never had an allergic reaction like this before. Wish I never bought it or was recommended it by chemist warehouse. Hope this won’t take too long to recover from. Show details

Oxcy 10 cream – The chemist recommended this cream for my son it clears the pimples very quickly. It really is good, wish we had known about it sooner, having oily skin he has had alot of problems with pimples even surgery. I always have a spare one for him and tell other people about oxcy 10. Show details

Really, really effective – Was using another brand on my son that certainly helped improve his acne but we couldn't actually clear it completely. It was like we'd reached the limit of what that product could do. So I thought that I'd try something stronger. Oxy 10 was not on the shelf at the chemist along with the other acne products, but behind the counter with the… Read more

pharmacy medications such as cold and flu tablets, so I had to ask for it.

I had read a lot of reviews talking about how harsh Oxy 10 was, so we started off slowly, applying very lightly after he cleansed his face morning and night with an acne facial wash, but skipped the exfoliating. His skin tolerated the cream and he said it didn't burn or tingle, like some other reviewers reported.

There was a noticeable improvement in only 48 hours. After about a week his skin did start getting quite dry and there was some flaking from that dryness, so I purchased a light, non-comedogenic lotion to apply after the Oxy 10. However, along with the dryness there was a very noticeable improvement in his acne. Some clear patches of beautiful skin were emerging, the congestion was considerably lessened and pimples were much smaller. Any new pimples simply didn't have a chance to properly erupt because the Oxy 10 stopped them in their tracks.

It's been about 3 weeks now and his skin is now looking like it did 2 years ago when he was only just starting to break out. The blackheads are almost gone. His skin is much dryer but the lotion keeps the flaking and tightness at bay. The congestion around the hairline is still there but better than it has been in some time.

The most helpful review I read for Oxy 10 was from a woman with acne scarring who said that she wished that she could travel back in time 20 years and tell her younger self to keep using this product and not worry about the dryness because that is easily fixed, but the acne is much harder to sort out and causes scarring if allowed to get well established. She said it was far better to kill the acne bacteria as quickly as possible. It was with this review in mind that I decided to give Oxy 10 a go and I think, based on my son's experience, it is sound advice. He is over the moon and very happy to report he no longer has the worst skin in his class at school. He is quite prepared to put up with some dry patches and apply moisturiser instead of feeling self conscious about pimples and blackheads.

Great – I had a few stubborn pimples, and had been using a doctor prescribed cream but was looking for something a little cheaper. Overnight, my stubborn pimples have shrunk. My skin is a little itchy the next day so I don't think I could use it twice a day, probably every second day would be more than enough. Great value for money and worth a try.

it's just unbelievable – I read the reviews on this site and went to buy Oxy 10 in chemist warehouse. I can see the result of acne starting to clear away within 2-3 days, I would recommend to anyone that have severe acne. I used to use a cream call " Epidou gel " but it didn't show any improvement. Glad that i found this product colourless , quick reaction just dry out the skin a little bit, but, it's good

Excellent – This product is the best i have ever used! The 5% version never did anything for me, but as soon as I used the 10% my skin was visibly clearer overnight and 3 days later all pimples are nearly completely gone! - Actually works!!!!!!!! -Completely gets rid of bad skin in 3 days! - Drys out skin a lot, especially if you use it the recommended twice a day
