Don't buy any Ozito cordless mowers – This mower was great until the blade snapped off. Went to buy replacement only to find out this model is dscontinued. (They seem to change like fashion). Was assured the replacement blades from another model would fit, so thought I'd give it a try. Been trying to remove the screw for hours. It will not budge. It actually looks like it forms one… Read more

unit with the mechanism that makes the blade spin. The metal sleeve broke in half which tells me something is wrong. I have tried everything... screwdrivers to hold it, shifters, wrenches, multigrips, nothing works.

Rang Ozito in Vic only to be told the screw will just undo. Well... no it won't. Told I need to ask neighbours or friends to undo it for me. Don't have those either. Then was told to go to Bunnings and they will undo it for me. Don't think so. They don't do that. That also means will have to carry the darn thing and that's not really possible or helpful.

Another lady at Ozito told me to take it to a mower repairman. Where? None here. And why? The screw should just undo. This is not a strength issue. Something is wrong.

Looks like will have to throw the mower away, but will not buy Ozito again. When looking for another brand will check if the screw will undo to change the blade first before buying it. Anyone have experience with Ryobi or another brand?

Don't bother buying Ozito cordless mowers. They're great while new but when you need to replace anything you just can't. It's impossible and you have to just throw them away.

Don't know about you, but I can't afford that. Shouldn't have to either. The screw should just undo.

fabulas mower – I bought my obit battery charged mower as an early Christmas gift for the small areas around our 5 acres, it is fabulous, light weight and easy to start for someone that has no strength in her shoulder, no rip cord to pull. Show details

Fragile handle bar and difficult to fit grass catcher that keeps falling off – Surprise that handle bar comes with “secure cord” to tighten the handle and keeps falling off at the joint to the point even the secure cord couldnt hold it anymore within 1 mowing session. Grass catcher does not fit, not use friendly, upon light weight of grass collection it fell apart. Please do not get this model. Show details

So easy makes cutting lawn a breeze – Love this lawn mower. My husband who was sceptical and who only used petrol mowers was very impressed. It is light weight easy to manoeuvre on Santa Ana grass. We emptied the catcher after each section of lawn just to see how much was cut and we were impressed. The battery lasted well. Excellent would totally recommend. The catcher is a bit tricky… Read more

to put together but I watched a video on assembly on YouTube which gave useful hints. It just needs a bit of strength to snap in the connections. Glad I bought this.

Great compact cordless mower - perfect for small yards – The mower itself is easy to use and very lightweight. The battery charged quickly and safely. The mower was also easy to assemble, especially assembling on my own, and it was easy to start and use. I really like the fail safe component which has been built into the machine, so when you're not holding the release it automatically stops, and the… Read more

battery can be removed so it can't be damaged by weather or started by someone else (like a child). It mowed my small courtyard easily and really well. Previously I was using a manual push mower which didn't cut grass or weeds well. The only negative is the catcher is hard to put together as it comes in two plastic parts that you have to clip together. I had to take it back to my local Bunnings for them to do this for me and even they found it difficult! This is the only reason why I gave the Ozito PXC 18V Brushless Lawn Mower Kit ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4) stars rather than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5) stars.

A real mindset changer – Impressed! Initially bought for my wife who finds recoil starter mowers difficult to get running; the Ozito obviates that problem. Thought it might not go the distance but I was wrong on all counts; does the yard easily without the need to charge. The quality of cut is excellent. Can't rate this mower high enough. Show details

Nothing but a cheap, flimsy, lightweight, lawn mower – My neighbour gave me this mower when he moved out so I thought Id give it a try. But this review comes from someone that has always used a good old sturdy petrol lawn mower. On the first cut/use I quickly found out why he couldn't be bothered taking it with him. Well let's start with the good points: 1. It's probably the cheapest battery powered… Read more

lawn mower you can buy complete with batteries and charger. Only 200 bucks. How can you go wrong? 2. The twin 18V 3Ah batteries (36V 3Ah total) did well. I have a large lawn which takes about 40mins to mow. This lightweight Ozito mower did the job with battery power to spare. Enough to do a trim cut for at least another 10 mins. So close enough to an hour of cutting time when you are not trying to cut long thick grass. (not recommended) I was actually quite impressed. 3. So easy to start compared with a pull start lawn mower and super quiet too. But you have to make sure the batteries clip in properly, ensure you push the safety button down at the right time and don't lose the key! 4. Very light to push around. Old people will appreciate this. You can fly around the yard when you only do a trim cut and you don't even notice going uphill which is in stark contrast to the heavy petrol lawn mowers. 5. It has 6 cutting levels which is more than most others. So easy to get your cutting height just right. 6. Very light to pick up and put in your car if you need to take it somewhere to mow a lawn. Be care though as its definitely not a tough, rugged build. 7. Its probably a better option than the new Ozito PXC18V battery powered lawn mower currently on sale. Its very obvious where they have made cutbacks for cost savings: a) This one runs on 2 x 18V 3Ah batteries and comes with 2 good quality fast chargers. The new models only run on 1 x 18V 4Ah battery. So in theory the new models have half the (voltage) power and take longer to charge. b) This one has a bigger grass catcher (40L) than the new Ozito models (25L) so theoretically better. But its hopeless at collecting grass in the catcher anyway due to the poor air flow design so it never fills up. Hopefully they have improved the catcher design on the new Ozito models. c) This model has a slightly wider cut than the new models (360mm vs 300mm) d) This model has both a bigger and wider choice of cutting heights (25mm, 35mm, 45mm, 55mm, 65mm, 75mm). The new model only allows 3 cutting heights (30mm, 50mm, 70mm). Now for the bad points: 8. Its very cheap flimsy build. As mentioned above - far from tough or rugged. More like FRAGILE! It doesn't feel like its going to last very long at all. More like its designed for temporary and irregular lawn mowing situations such as 12 month rentals. 9. The flimsy handle wobbles around and the ultra-lightweight body bends and bounces around easily. It tends to ride over the grass instead of driving through it. So potentailly you end up with uneven cuts on thick or rugged grass. It really feels like its going to break or fall apart even though all the adjustment clamps where set tight. Its also difficult to turn it around at the end of the run because of the very flimsy body and handle. You really need push down on the handle to lift up the front wheels and spin it around. So leave yourself plenty of turning space! Its fine though when you are going straight on a flat. 10. The wheels too are made of very thin plastic and surely will not last long at all. They will wear quickly and either fall off of just split and break. 11. The 2 clamps on each side of the handle keep catching walls, edges or whatever. So very annoying. Hint: put some grease or oil on the plastic clamps and metal spacer so you can operate the clamps more easily and get a tighter grip too. 12. Its very difficult to get in close to the edges along a wall as the cutting blade underneath doesn't seem to be wide enough and the front wheel spread is narrower than the back on both sides. The fact the body doesn't have a straight edge means it doesn't lend itself to being pushed along a wall at all. Just a very poor design really. 13. Like other cheap Ozito lawn mowers it has a very narrow cutting width (360mm) to cater for the under-powered motor. So it takes many more runs and thus more time to mow the same lawn compared with your average petrol lawn mower. The new models are even more narrow though - only 300mm. 14. Its a little under powered so if you try to cut more than an 50mm it slows down almost to a stop. Even the instructions suggest you do 2 cuts at different height settings to compensate for this weakness. 15. The catcher is terrible. Its very flimsy and ill fitting with a small opening and sits much higher than the cutting blade. As a result some of the grass goes inside it and some doesn't quite make it. Some goes under it and some goes over it. Just not a good design at all. CONCLUSION For its very low price and ultra-lightweight design it allows you to do the job with ease as long as you mow the lawn regularly (i.e. dont let the lawn grow long) and empty the catcher frequently. Its also very easy to carry around and put in your car if you must mow a lawn elsewhere. Replacement batteries are cheap to buy in comparison with Ryobi which makes Ozito an economical choice.

Ok for a short time – It is a good mower but the catcher is useless, better to have it off and it cant cut really long grass. Otherwise ok for short to medium grass lengths. Lasts about 20 minutes. Show details

Toy lawn mower!!! – This isn't a lawn mower, it's just an expensive cordless you for your kids. It's so bloody small it's a joke, it would take hours to mow a proper size lawn. My mistake I didn't read size/dimensions on advertisement, as I just assumed bring a lawn mower, it world be normal size, boy was I wrong lol. Total waste of around $400!!! Show details

I can maintain my independence – This is a little beauty. For an older person unable to pull start anything anymore this enabled me to maintain my independence and keep my back yard tidy. Found the handle on the catcher kept coming off and was surprised I didn’t have to empty as often as I thought I would. Fully charged it is powerful enough to give a good cut. Loved the idea… Read more

that when I needed to stop and attend to a garden item the mover stopped and then started again with minimum effort. If you want a good gift for an older parent. This is perfect. It’s light enough to manoeuvre and then put away.

Beware the catcher! – This little Ozito unit does what it says it does, and is fine for the smaller yards/shorter grass etc etc. No cord, no fumes, not much noise. It may sound like a blender on steroids...but it gets the job done. Down-side: the catcher didn't even make it to the mower. together..' I gave up ( and almost put a handy brick through it). The bottom half of the catcher is so floppy and malformed it was never going to 'press together..' with the more rigid top half.

Did anyone at Ozito test this part of the assembly before shoving it in a box.

Excellent little mower for small to medium yards – This is a very nice little mower. I like how you can use the 'throttle' to slow speed down, if you are cutting over a few stones etc. It cuts very nicely on the low settings and easily lasts long enough for our small to medium lawn. I also have the battery chainsaw so have two spare batteries, if needed. The catcher was tricky to assemble and I… Read more

don't like the springs used to lower the mower blades, that setup may not last that long before the springs break - so make sure you order some spares. Still, its a very good little mower for the price and I bought it to compliment my Ryobi battery mower. In some ways, I like the Ozito more but the Ryobi has a better method of lowering the blades but the batteries are way to expensive for the Ryobi.

want more usage time? – There is a lot of negative about this mower and most of that is the usage time. Well I got good news for all of you. Just buy the 5.2Ah battery, this will increase usage time and also will give you more torque on the motor especially when cutting a tall grass. Why? Because DC Motors requires more current when it force to do what it can actually… Read more

Satisfied it's a little beauty in my book. ;) – I bought my lawn mower skin at cash converters for $75 I am quite impressed with it. I have 2 smaller lawns, it cuts them both with ease. I use a 3 amp hr battery. But I can get both lawns cut using the 2 amp hr battery from my ozito x power drill. I got a bargain ;) Show details

It's great for my small yard – As a single female home owner this battery operated mower is a good solution. I mow my back and front yard and usually have to change the batteries partway through. What a gem! – Received my Ozito 18v brushless mower for Christmas and although it is small in 'stature' it is very big on performance. has great maneuverability, grass catcher very easy to put on and remove, does an excellent cut, plus no petrol fumes! Having to continually hold the start handle can, for some, be a bit awkward, but resting every now and then gets the job done with ease. It is small so don't expect it to mow a Golf course. I will highly recommend this mower, especially suited for Seniors. Well done Ozito! Barbara Coghlan

Use more often and it will do the job – This machine is not powerful, so longish grass or very tough buffalo will really test it. For a battery powered mower, it does well enough. It’s okay but way way too expensive for what it does – Light and easy to manoeuvre however narrow cutting width cause some issues, the mower tends to bed and dig into lawn causing big brown patches. Lawn is mowed weekly however I’d have to restart this thing at least 10 times in our tiny yard due to it hitting a blade of grass and stalling out. would hate to see it on buffalo or grass any longer than an inch or two. The adjustable handle had rusted due to the design of the lock nuts taking off paint. Good for small yards but time consuming – Ozito mower that takes 2 x 18V batteries - Very light mower - super easy to manoeuvre. I bought 2 add. batteries so between the 4 batteries I cut around 250-sqm of buffalo lawn. Great if lawn was regularly maintaining but it took me ages to cut lawn if grass was bit longer as it kept choking + buffalo is pretty thick type of grass. 2nd day. A big catching basket that is made of durable plastic. The only draw back is that it would suffer if it goes on a bit lengthy grass but you can overcome this by going on a higher cutting length and later redo a shorter cutting gear. all what is needed to turn it on is a button press with a thumb and a lift of a small handle consequitvely. All in all I am happy with it and it does the job as expected.

This mower is amazing. I bought it because I needed something lightweight, easy to use but did the j – Catcher is plenty large enough as long as I keep on top of it (mowing the lawns).
