Do you have chain replacement for EPP 750, if so is it available?

Bunnings should be able to assist but may require a special order. Otherwise, I see them on eBay.

Not oiling…..hasn’t been used for some time……could it be blocked.

Hi Rachael, I'm assuming you have worked through all the relevant troubleshooting listed in the manual and are using oil specifically suited for chainsaws (Bar and Chain Oil). I'm also assuming you have tested for correct oil dispersion as per the instructions in the manual.

Could be a number of reasons ...including some ingress by dirt which has settled during storage and may be blocking the outlet. Manual says to remove oil when storing for an extended time period, although, I think this is more about oil leaking than glugging up. Perhaps it is particularly cold at your location which may also be affecting the oil flow?

If all else fails (and it is less than 3 years old) you could try having it replaced under warranty?

Hi Rachael, I noticed, the first time I started mine, the oil wasn't coming through. I removed the chain and guide and ran the pruner for about 10 minutes before I noticed oil coming through. If you haven't used yours for while perhaps the oil port has drained and might be worth a try to see if you can get it to prime by doing what I did. It doesn't come out in much quantity, if this isn't successful maybe that the oil port might be blocked with dust or debris from previous cutting jobs. Hope this helps.

Used the machine for about 10 minutes - cut through several branches and then stopped. No matter what I did with the chain tensioner as soon as the chain came into any sort of branch (even very small), the chain would stop cutting - with motor still spinning. I have pulled it apart, cleaned and re-tensioned. No difference. Waste of money.

Have had mine for just over a year now with a fair amount of use. Still working fine. Yours sounds like it might be a warranty job. If you've checked the tension and ensured the chain is fully engaging with the sprocket (and the motor is running without chain movement) it sounds like something might have given way in its connection to the motor. Guess that is why there is a 3yr full replacement warranty available.

Same here, I have had it for about 2 years and had it out quite a bit using it at full height. I've had the chain fall off when it's snagged on something but otherwise fine. I'm sure you covered this but have you filled it with the correct oil and kept it topped up? Mine gets through the oil and discharges it during storage so I have to fill everytime I use it.

Failing that, as per other reply it sounds like a warranty claim.

Just one other thing, the chain sits on that cog shaped thing a certain way.

sounds like it might be a faulty unit. Had mine now for a few years and it has worked quite well. You shouldn't over work this unit. Let it do the cutting don't force it. Keep it cleaned after each use and tension the chain, check oil level and it will perform adequately. I have cut all types of tree branches including palms, which can clog chain quickly without a problem.

I have the Ozito 750W electric saw and my neighbour used it recently and we found the chain keep getting loose and I would have too tighten it quite a few times, then when she was using it, it would not start by pressing both trigger & button. At one stage it started when pointing downwards but then pointing it upwards it would stop. Could you please tell me if there is something wrong with the start trigger and or button and what should I do about it. I have had it for about 2 to 3 years with no problems and have only put on a new chain last year. I look forward to hearing from you with any suggestions for my problem. thank you. Gail P

Doesn't sound right at all. Saw has a 3 year full replacement warranty. Return it to Bunnings and have it replaced. For safety reasons alone you don't want those type of issues with any form of chain saw. Hopefully still within that 3 year period but if just outside you may still be able to get a replacement under Australian Consumer Law. If no joy with Bunnings, talk to Ozito direct.

There is a chain tensioner, which is the red rotating dial poking through the chain cover. Check this is moving ok and the tension pin slides as it rotates with the chain bar and chain bar cover off.

Make sure there is no debris jammed in the front by the spiky safety guard, use long nose pliers to pull out if needed.

Obviously make sure it’s unplugged before doing this and you are using the 2 stroke oil.

Note: these chainsaws leak oil in storage so need filling before every use.

Your neighbour may not have done this.

Failing that, warranty return :)

Thank you both, for your responses. Will do, double checking and cleaning, then if not working will be taking it back to Bunnings.
