I just purchased an OZITO ECS-406A 2200 watt 406mm electric chain saw from Bunnings and found it to be very slow responding when you press the trigger. I have had previous OZITO chain saws 1800watt 355mm and they were instant power when pressing the trigger. Is this problem usual for this model.

I did notice the same thing with my Ozito, but it didn't worry me anywhere near as much as the other problems I mentioned in my review. Bunnings refunded my purchase price and I bought an Oregon 2400 watt / 45cm PowerSharp chainsaw, which has been excellent so far, although it was about $90 more expensive than the 2200 watt Ozito. If you're happy with the Ozito's performance apart from the slow trigger response, and the chain isn't jamming or coming off the sprocket as mine was, then you may not want to spend the extra money to get a better chainsaw.

Thanks Colin. I haven’t used it enough to test it for the chain problems as yet.

I am a lady of senior yrs. Thinking of buying ozito 254mm 18v cordless chainsaw kit. Have never used a chain saw. Do you think this would be suitable?

I bought my chainsaw at Bunnings Wallsend in Newcastle. I noticed that they had the spare chains in stock listed by model suitability on a rack nearby.
