Good product for the price – I purchased this product about a year ago and apart from using it so much to prune trees, bushes etc. it led to the blade being blunt. I went to Bunnings to buy a new blade but there was no stock of that particular blade. Next to where the original blade should have been there was a pruning blade pack with the same shoe fitting end. The blades are called Diablo 9 inch pruning blades 2pk. 5 TPI. Brutal blade which I've used for pruning and cutting 10 inch Palms down. Great product with the different blade!

Lots of noise & vibration, but no cutting! – The Ozito MSW-3000 is a reciprocating saw, labelled as being suitable for use as a pruning saw with a wood cutting capacity of up to 100mm (4 inches). It comes with 3 blades, including a large one for use while pruning, the purpose for which I purchased it. The other 2 blades are for plastics, sheet metal and plywood, i.e. light materials. The saw is easy enough to set up and get running, although it requires an allen key to secure the blade, rather than the snap-in arrangement used in many other brands/models. My first test of the saw was to cut a green branch of around 40mm thickness, which is well under the unit's stated limit. Right from the get-go, this saw is inadequate. It could not cut through the green branch, and I had to finish it off with a regular hand held pruning saw. Whether it is a problem with the power rating (only 500W) or the blade stroke (only 12mm), I'm not sure, but it just could not clear the saw dust and make progress through the wood.

I cannot recommend the product. It did not do any further testing but took it back to Bunnings for a full refund on the very same date. I finished my entire pruning job with the hand pruning saw which was ultimately quicker and more effective.
