Worked pretty well so far – Other than Bunnings not selling any replacement staples for some unknown reason, I've not had any issues with it - I've put about 1000 staples through it, and it's worked well for plywood and pine. Its lightweight and easy to use. Show details
Awful - only fires nails not staples – Won’t even fire staples on first use. Nails are fine for some reason, but the staples don’t get pushed through by the spring. Will be returning to Bunnings for something better. Show details
Craft gun – Bought for stapling insulation up into mainly pine. Gun struggled and was inconsistent in getting staples in. Also jammed lots as spring loader is poor. Buy the ozito power x change 18v staple gun for $80 and you will better off. Show details
Not for hardwood – The first review here said he was installing underfloor insulation into hardwood beams and it worked. I'm doing the same thing and my manual staple gun is not up to it. So for $40 I thought it would make the job easier. It works better than the manual one and I'm still using it but it is not great. None of the first 50 staples went in all… Read more
the way. With considerable pressure you can get the staple all the way into the hardwood about 40% of the time. I've put in about 150 staples so far and there is nothing I can do to guarantee that a staple will go in properly. Around 40% is the best I can get. It probably works better on softer wood.
It did the job – I bought it to fit under floor insulation. Stapling into old hard wood, it's only recommended to staple into soft wood, it did a lot better than i thought it would. The staples that come with it did the job better than i thought, i needed to buy more to finish the job. It did the job with only jamming twice due to last staple, easy to clear it, reload and keep going. It's a great tool. Show details
Disappointed! – I bought the Ozita OZSNG 16A to upholster a 2 seater lounge. It worked erratically. Staples jamming and bending so much that it took a long time to complete the project! Often the staples didn't sit flush either. I had to keep pulling them out! I got it out recently to staple some cord onto a picture frame and the trigger switch won't even press… Read more
in! It's so annoying to spend money on a tool that guarantees you'll have years of enjoyment, only to find you'd be lucky to get through one project!!! Waste of time and money!
Love it .....worked perfectly – I had to install wire mesh around the bottom of a house to keep cats out. I purchased the SNG 2050 model. The timber was either 20 mm plinth or weather boards. I have just sunk about 1000 staples into either surface during a days work. It worked perfectly every time. Saved me a tonne of time. Show details
Useless – I was advised by a bunnings staff member that this would be perfect for my caravan diy restoration. On my 3rd shot into aluminum the whole support structure that guides the staples disintegrated into dust. Exreemly dangerous & very Poorly designed/built, not my first disappointment with ozzito quality. I will stick with bigger brands from now on. Show details
Just over a year old and it failed – Not my favourite purchase, have put a few boxes of staples through it whilst building a Western Red Cedar sea kayak and it has given up, constantly jamming with staples bent in the gun. As it was out of warranty I decided to pull it apart and see if I could find the problem, the staple head had cracked so was beyond repair. Back to a 30 year old manual stapler. Show details
Love using this... possibly my favourite tool – The people who have dismissed this as being a piece of junk are clearly using the wrong staples. The best, and I would imagine, only staples that suit this tool are Arrow T50 staples. I have used this now with over 1,000 staples as I am now on my second box of 1,250 Arrow T50 staples and I have not had one single jam or misfire. Perfect every… Read more
single time. I have to say this is rapidly becoming my favourite power tool and I have many including 4 or 5 different Ozito tools. My only concern is that I can't seem to find any replacements for the 10mm nails that came with the stapler. These are great too but Bunnings only give you about 50 of them so I have run out and they don't seem to sell them.
Ozito staple gun - perfect for small, light fabric and craft use. Not for industrial fabric – A few things bugged me about this product (1) In terms of shooting several staples at once: The staple gun worked perfectly stapling craft fabric to a light pine frame, for example, stretching Mickey Mouse fabric over a picture frame. Stepped it up to use the gun on industrial / commercial fabric when recovering my lounge suite. The gun performed… Read more
poorly when using the lighter type staples. When used with heavier, thicker staples the gun didn't shoot multiples but did jam from time to time. (2) In terms of jamming - the staple jammed with lighter and heavier staples, and lighter and heavier fabric, and lighter and heavier timber. We tried different combinations and the gun seemed to jam regardless. (3) Finding the right staples - Bunnings does not carry the staples we need to use this gum optimally.
The best thing about this product - despite jamming (which means you have to stop, pull out the cartridge and use so,etching like a screwdriver to clear jammed staples) i couldn't imagine doing the work with a hand stapler so it is good when it works. Also the safety features on the product mean that you can't use it unless it is face down hard against the timber/fabric. There is also a separate on/off switch which we found useful (esp. When we had to stop and clear jammed staples).
For optimal use, use the heavier industrial staples that are wider (not in terms of wish of the prongs on the staple) but the thickness/ width of the metal staple itself.
Another job done with this stapler - is good! – Just finished another off site job (second big cat run) and went through thousands of staples laying down wire mesh - no issues. Previous to this last year used the stapler to build other outside stuff like a chicken run, rabbit enclosure and another cat run - again no issues. Note - to help locate and minimize the spring loaded safety tip slipping of the wire I cut a tiny notch in the centre of the tip - all good.
Great little staple gun – I have been using this gun for over a year now doing upholstery jobs and I have had not one problem. I just don't believe the bad reviews I've read here. I only paid $39 for it at Bunnings and its a great little gun.

Know better, choose better.
I've used all the staples it came with, it was great – We made four three meter and one four meter pelmets, put decorations around a huge dance floor into marine ply and put decorations on a solid teak wall unit. I've had to buy more staples which came with some cable staples and I was just wondering if they would fit; I'll try the instruction manual.
I am surprise ozito produced such an inferior product! – The first one did work for 2 staples and stopped. the second one did 5 staples!!! i am taking it back to bunnings tomorrow. A friend told me that it is possible to buy a cordless, will check tomorrow
A total waste of time! – I have bought and returned 3 of these staplers over the past three weeks. They work OK for about 50 staples that are supplied with the gun but if you use any other staples they jam. After complaining to Bunnings they tried every one in stock and agreed that they wouldn't work with Arrow brand staples. They then said they would return their full stock to Ozito. Nothing except cheap Just doesn't perform
Totally disagree – Bought from Bunnings came home and then looked at reviews before using and was upset with what was stated. When I test run the staple/brad electric gun I found it performed complete opposite to what was stated in the 5 reviews.I inserted staples and then nails/brads into pine and then into Jarrah and everyone was perfect. Ideal tool for the DIY home handyman inexpensive for the type of function required for homehandyman plus 3 year warranty
Piece of junk – Bought this as it was the only electric one in Bunnings and I thought I'd try and save my hands instead of using a manual gun. Not quite ready to splurge on an air compressor setup yet. This was a complete waste of money (and time and petrol). In half an hour I got 3 good staples out of it. The rest were either shredded and spat out or jammed.… Read more
Took it back for a refund and bought a little manual gun that at least got the job done. Electric Doesn't work
Cheap and Dangerous – This was the only electric staple gun at Bunnings at the time of purchase. The staples that come with it are thick and jam constantly making it impossible to upholster as every time you get your work in position to staple the gun sticks, you need to unplug it as there is no off switch, clean the jam, plug back in and start again. quality staples you can sometimes get two staples in a row. The 'feature' of only stapling when flat makes it impossible to position for corners.
Inconsistent, jams every other staple, no safety switch, terrible reverb.
I got one staple out of it – I didn't even get what I paid for! I thought I'd spend another few bucks and buy this instead of the trusty manual machine. Bosch cordless? Naahh - I'm not making a living from it - the Ozito should be okay - NOT! 1 staple out of it and it stopped altogether. Going back to Bunnings to buy the Bosch - it is clearly not of merchantable quality - fancy putting your name to something like this. Rubbish
Useless – Useless, I'm having to clear the magazine every second staple! It'd be more enjoyable to staple a "don't buy" to the remaining models left for sale, than the 1200 staples and subsequent 600 clearings, i actually need the thing for. The information provided also vaguely specifies the actual/ideal kind of staples required. What it said it would do What it actually did.
It's cheap, so you get what you pay for – Staples keeps jamming. The nose of the stapler makes it hard to aim staples accurately into timber where you wont them to go and it's hard to get staples neatly into timber a lot of the time. You end up pulling most of the staples out because they are in the wrong place or bent and in only half way. Light weight. Cheap. Keeps jamming. Wastes staples. Hard to aim staples where you won't them. Sometimes hard to pull trigger,
