I’ve been sleeping with soft foam ear plugs for over 15 years due to symptoms of ptsd. Sometimes going to sleep is also hard. So tries the sleep buds. I’m a side sleeper and have a harder pillow (because I’m a side sleeper!) so the buds tend to hurt my ears. I’ve tried other foam tips for them and soft pillows but don’t sleep. I think the detect sleep is a bit gimmicky as it’s never worked as intended. It does not block out all sounds. Instead just puts a white noise in your ears. If it wasn’t for the ear pain I would like these! But the cost of them leaves a sour taste. Pass if you are a side sleeper with a hard pillow.

I was an early Indiegogo backer and purchased the Early Bird for Two package (USD $480) to Australia. Ozlo Sleepbuds failed five times (all Ozlo-branded units): 1. Sept 2024 – 1st replacement 2. Dec 2024 – 2nd replacement 3. Feb 2025 – 3rd replacement (manual) 4. June 2025 – 4th replacement 5. Oct 2025 – 5th replacement acknowledged as defective by Ozlo
Warranty expired Sept 2025. I purchased the Ozlo Protection Plan afterward to protect myself — reasoning the claim excess was cheaper than the $60 USD replacement charge for a single bud. Marketing emails confirmed coverage “Now Active,” but US-only restrictions were buried in tiny T&Cs, missed by me (and probably most customers). After losing the unit while on holiday and making a claim Ozlo sent a grainy screenshot of that condition to deny the claim.
Every failure prompted repeated advice about cleaning buds (Scotch tape method), deflecting responsibility. When I referenced Bose Sleepbuds, Lalita claimed Ozlo units were “90% redesigned,” yet the same failures persisted.
Finally, Ozlo offered a full refund or replacement with the condition I returned the faulty item, knowing I had lost the defective 5th unit, making the offer impossible to accept, while offering price of a new unit ($249 AUD) as the only alternative.
I filed a complaint with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading. This experience shows Ozlo’s hardware is unreliable, marketing is misleading, and customer support is patronizing.
Follow-up · I lodged my complaint with the office of fair trading which was accepted and they agreed to advocate on my behalf. After 10 days or so they advised me that OZLO didn't even respond to any of their attempts to contact them for a resolution.

I'm in love with these little buds. I have a partner who snores and I am a light sleeper. This isn't a combination conducive to a good night's sleep.... until the little Ozlo ear buddies came along. They are small and fit flat in my ear so I can sleep on my side without any problem. I use the power saving mode which streams my selected audio program and then switches to the masking white noise after the set time. The white noise is very effective at drowning out my beloved's snoring. Yes, they are expensive, but for me, there is pre Ozlo and post Ozlo time. Post Ozlo sleep quality has improved so significantly - these little buds have been well worth the investment.
Purchased in at Ozlo for $499.

Game changer for light sleepers! I’m a super light sleeper and Ozlo Sleepbuds have been life-changing. I sleep longer and deeper, and can’t imagine going without them now. I’d had two pairs of Bose Sleepbuds that both failed after a year — then Bose discontinued them. Switched to Ozlo, had one minor issue at first but their customer service replaced them straight away. This pair lasts over 10 hours a night and works perfectly. Absolute game changer!!!!
Purchased for $500.
