not at all cooling, when I contacted them I was told it might be the room temperature. or I might need to get used to it. It is supposed to have icecooling technology.

The pillowcases were just 100% polyester they were promoted as having icecooling technology on sale for $29.98 each. But what I received were basic polyester pillowcases. Polyester is not a cooling fabric!!! They were a completely different fabric and not even close to the same colour. Supposed to much the blanket. They are supposed to have icecooling technology.

After seeing my review on trustpilot they rang and offered me a 50% refund if I removed the review and a full refund if I gave them a 5-star review. Guess I miss out on the money. So I'm here spreading the word. These people are scammers.

TOTAL SCAM AND FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING – Deliberately fraudulent description and claims that that the cooling blanket product can cool down to 18 degrees. about the blanket altered my thinking. The first night I slept on it I found that I had not felt any cooling at all, the following night either. In fact, what I found was that I was hotter than usual as I had only been sleeping with a top sheet. My conclusion was that the blanket had no cooling ability at all. I wrote to painfreeaussies.com.au telling them that I had concerns that the blanket was not cooling and asked them why. The blanket does not work for everyone, they explained, because different body temperatures or room conditions can affect the blanket's performance. For this they suggest adjusting the room temperature and/or using the cooling blanket with a lighter sheet!= and staying hydrated t0 assist in regulating body temperature. They suggested I give myself more time to adjust to having a new blanket! I wrote back telling them that I thought what they had written was a load of rubbish - I was sleeping in a room with air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. I told them I would be sending the blanket back to them and that I wanted a full refund. I added that I felt they were guilty of false advertising. Their reply - I got the following spiel: The Cooling Blanket is made of highly breathable materials, allowing air to circulate through the fibers. This breathability helps in regulating body temperature by allowing heat to escape and cool air to enter, creating a cooling effect. It also has moisture-wicking properties, meaning it can quickly absorb and evaporate moisture (like sweat). As the moisture evaporates, it cools down your skin, providing a cooling effect. We apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced. Our Quality Assurance dept thoroughly checks our products and conducts multiple tests to ensure their quality and reliability. We've sold hundreds of these and have received great feedback for them. However, we understand that suitability, preferences, and results still vary for each individual. They offered me $20 cashback or a gift card worth $35. See attached 'email 14Nov24'. I refused this offer, telling them that I will be sending the blanket back and was wanting a full refund - their response was to tell me that I could not return it due to hygiene reasons. that once the blanket has been used they cannot be resold or reused due to "contamination risks". I then asked them to send me a copy of the tests carried out and the results they have given of these tests. Adding, "Not that I believe tests done by quality assurance can give a scientific analysis needed to prove its effectiveness". A tone of frustration not to be overlooked. Part of their response - I do appreciate that you may be seeking more detailed scientific evidence to support their effectiveness. Unfortunately, the test results themselves are not typically made available to customers, as they are internal assessments conducted under controlled conditions. Discussions continued..in one email they told me why the blanket does not work for everyone, they explained. Different body temperatures or room conditions can affect the blanket's performance. Each disgruntled email I sent they would offer me a larger refund, the initial $20 become the offer of $50. I continued to refuse their offers and felt it was time to upscale the dispute. I was astounded that the decision chose to take their side of the dispute and I could do nothing but accept this. I wrote a review here and on Trustpilot about my experience dealing with Painfree Aussies. Then I wrote to them conceding my loss and saying how I would accept their offer of the $50 refund. I was surprised when they wrote saying they would pay up on the proviso that I delete or revise my reviews, giving me the html addresses of both reviews. I dutifully went to both sites and wrote a revision, failing to keep a copy of my initial review. My $50 refund went through. After a few days had past, most likely still feeling bruised over having now paid $24,99 for a trashy, cheap "blanket", I came back here and wrote about this - yet again another negative review. I got a Dear Biff email from PainfreeAussies asking me to remove the new review and that they would refund me 100%. Their next email gave me instructions on how to do this! So in I came, removed the review, making a copy of that review before doing so. In my account was the deposit of $24.99. Thanks to productreview.com.au for being here supporting people, like myself and you, by giving us the space to air our bad experiences dealing with companies such as painfreeaussies. The companies who appear to openly deceive buyers into purchasing items that are not what they describe, false advertising, and feel okay about doing this. At the end of the day, I got a 100% refund of monies paid - I am happy :) But I was left holding the "blanket".

Misleading product description, nothing cooling about this “cooling” blanket – Pain Free Aussies advertise their cooling blanket as having advanced cooling technology. Upon receipt the blanket is simply a polyester filled blanket. There is nothing “advanced” about this blanket and it certainly doesn’t “cool”, in fact it keeps you warm rather than cool.
