Bad – I wish we had bought flued gas heater in the first place. I consider it to be a waste of money. If you had no choice of installing a flued gas heater the paloma PG-511 does heat the room quickly. its a gas heater heats a large room quickly after my first review july 28 2010 we were unable to return or exchange at retailers we continued to use it the very bad nauseating smell has gone and now only has a normal?? faint gas smell associated with non flued gas heaters and only use the heater for a short time to take the chill of the room.
My choice now would be to get a flued gas heater when I can.
These gas heaters produce smells when there is new paint and it goes away after a few days. You should also have a window open somewhere. We had a similar problem with an older gas heater initially after renovating and now use it often in the winter without any problem.
