bit hot and hurts your ear after a long conversation. Also after around a year the answering machine function buttons on the base stopped working. Therefore you cannot erase any messages and when it is full you can't turn off the message recording but cannot take any messages - so people think they have left a recording that you never actually get. Since this function will not turn off the phone is kind of useless and needs a replacement base whilst the handsets (I had 2) are still working. Agree with the low sounds comment even on speaker phone and close to your ear sometimes. A bit heavy and clunky too.
