Although this particular model would now be superseded, the replacement is very similar. So it's worth reviewing as it now has a worthwhile track record. It is large enough for most family needs, and being a flatbed, is effectively much larger than the turntable models, because, if you can close the door, you can cook it. Those large oval baking dishes etc, that wouldn't go around in a turntable model, you can now use. This model is powerful, and versatile, with 1000W microwave, grilling and oven baking (inc fan), and combination programs of ...all three modes available. We hardly use our large oven any more, which saves time, electricity, and heating up the kitchen. With its stainless & black finish, it is simple and stylish. It has rotary knobs for the main controls, rather than having to multi-press those annoying touch controls, for the basic functions of power and time. Much easier and quicker. The door hinges downwards, without having to press any release button. And you can use the door to stand the pot / plate on. It stays very clean inside. Downside is the selection process for the different cooking modes (apart from the basic microwave, which is 99% of the usage) is a bit vague, and you need to keep the user manual handy. But the main purpose of this review is to note that this mainstay of our kitchen has been used constantly for maybe eight years, and has never missed a beat. Quality construction, with no flimsy bits falling off. All of which probably applies to its successor model.
