Served very well – Lasted around 7 years, cost me around $1200. If it would be cheaper it get 5 stars. Did 1 repair around 3 year mark, around 7 year mark a sign came up "needs reset call service" so decided to sell it. Doesn't move on spinning, not too noisy. Show details ·  1

Cant spin a single towel – Works ok I guess the active foam seams to be a gimmick, has trouble spinning. For example one wet bath towel is a no go. Can't do it just gives error codes. Probably last Panasonic thing I buy. Show details

Fixed it and working again! – Machine broke down 4 weeks ago. Everything works except spinning. Gave me the H51 error. I stab in the dark between motor or the PCB (main board). Had a looked at some of the blog about the model's problem. Definitely not the motor. So I order the PCB from "Bigwarehouse Spares" took 2 weeks going on 3 weeks and they stuff me around. Never again… Read more ·  2

order from them. I'm still waiting fro my money back since i cancelled the order a week ago.

I order the part from GB Telespares (Vic) Pty Ltd, if you're from Victoria. took only 2 days. I picked up the PCB and realised it's a new model not the same as the original. I replaced it and it works ! do yourself a fovour and just changed the parts. it cost me $271 and I picked it up.

Large capacity for a small size – It is sturdy. Its intelligent cycle actually varies the wash time compared with some other brands which don't seem to do anything. When it finishes it does beep, unlike Miele. We were constrained by the cabinet space it has to fit in. The only alternative we had include LG 7kg and Miele 7kg. Miele won't install it because it is not sitting… Read more

directly on the ground. We had to have the top plate removed and metal plate installed and LG doesn't come with this feature. We were going to go with Miele if they would install it. Miele won't so I had to look else where.

Anyway, when we found this Panasonic 10kg, we were amazed how large its capacity is given the small size! Nothing else has this capacity for the size. It has memory feature and does cold water wash. Its internal drum is deep. Unlike Miele, you can pause the wash and add more in if you really want to. It is also very quiet and heats water up by itself hence only requires one water inlet. The metal plate is awesome. Its mounted with 14 screws. Very strong, stronger than the original plastic / fibre board that are mounted by 2 or 3 screws.

Overall, we are very happy with it. Hope it lasts.

Bad washing machine – I had this washing machine in three years and it is absolutely rubbish machine. It is very noisy and sometimes can not start properly as it would not close the lid properly. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Please avoid it at any cost. I wish I had Bosch washing machine instead of this rubbish.  Show details

Can't Bearing This – We bought this machine in July 2012, so it's not quite 5 years old. Just over two years ago it chewed through its first set of bearings, which Panasonic fixed as a warranty (fit for purpose) issue, even though the machine was out of its 2-year warranty period. When he was fitting the new bearing the technician remarked how the protective boot on… Read more

it was more generous than on the original - manufacturer having become aware of a fault? But now the noise it's making says that the bearings are chewing themselves out once again - not really impressive, and it seems it's a congenital fault with this machine. Although in every other aspect it's been good - washes well etc - we're now doing preliminary work to getting yet another machine, and Panasonic is not on our list. Rated it 2 stars not because it doesn't wash well, but because 2 sets of bearings in 5 years is imply not good enough.

Dead in less than 20 months – Unit is dead with 10 kilos of washing locked inside Thanks for the woeful customer service Panasonic! - used to be my favourite brand - never buy Panasonic again The Philippines call centre experience makes you want to vomit - 4 days on NOTHING from Panasonic. Absolute rubbish build quality and service – Worked well when new , but 27 months old and the bearings are failing ( very common fault ). Rang Panasonic but they weren't interested in helping repair it even though it is a known fault. Very dissapionted , I expected a lot better from a $1200 washing machine . I won't be buying another Panasonic washing machine , they just don't last long enough for the money.  Show details

Very unhappy – I had my machine for just over 3 years. Recently I had put a load on, it wasn't even a full load. It got half way through the cycle and stopped and I was unable to get it going. I got someone to have a look at it and it appears the motor has blown! $462 for a replacement part plus labour costs and only 3 years old!! My previous Fisher & Paykel… Read more

machine lasted us 16 years and it was still going good when we got rid of it for this!

I'm now having to make the decision of whether to fork out the cost to repair and risk the machine having more issues down the track or buying a new one (which will not be Panasonic).

Extremely disappointed Panasonic!!!

Worst washing machine I have ever owned – This washing machine was bought due to its size (10kg) we have had nothing but problems with it. It does not drain or spin well and constantly resets its self to 8 minutes. I now put about a 5 kg load in it so washing takes twice as long. There is no seperate spin/rinse cycle on it. If there is please show me where! We have had repair people out… Read more

numerous times, I constantly clean the filter, this makes no difference. This machine has wasted my time and I can not wait until I get a new washing machine that isn't a Panasonic. Don't get this machine.

Very Bad Machine!!!! – Things get stuck and stop drum. Things as big as a SPOON can fit in the gap is so big. Panasonic after service is woeful and would never buy anything Panasonic again as there after sales service is so terrible. Takes weeks to even get someone out to look at it to fix it. This machine will cost you more to fix after than the machine is worth… Read more

(all out of warranty!) There is some machines which have a warranty recall to replace front part of drum, however, you will not know about this unless you have an issue and need it fixing.. Very bad after sales service, very bad machine.

Bad Machine – Have had the U11 error message many times in the 4 months of owning this machine despite checking pockets religiously after a $125 service fees produced coins! Also don't think it cleans well at all - sheets have lint and fluff on them, school uniforms still stained despite extra stain remover in wash. I find the machine squeaky, despite it… Read more

being perfectly levelled on installation and again after service. Would definitely not recommend this machine. My sister and friends both have front loaders that they love and say wash cleans so much cleaner than ours.

Great front loader – I bought this machine five months ago. It perfectly meets my needs. It has large capacity, excellent water and energy efficiency (both 4.5 star rating), rapid and quick programs, high speed spin(1400rpm), and it is very quiet. It is doing a great job. I love this machine very much so far.

Bad Machine – After years of top loaders salesman talked me into this front loader has all the bells and whistles but it's hard on your clothes, I would not recommend this to anyone. Love it so far! – I previously had front loaders and wasn't very happy with them. The machine before this I had a top loader, which I prefer for throwing in all of the buckets of pre-soaked stained clothes, although I despised the machine (see other review!). I would have preferred a top loader again but we couldn't fit one in so I opted for this machine as it… Read more

has a large capacity and a large door. I can practically fit a bucket into the door! I noticed with a lot of front loaders that the max capacity isn't true on a lot of the wash programs, so I thought that at least with a 10kg washer, I should be able to fit a decent amount of clothes in like I could with my top loader. And I can fit a lot in to this machine but again, if I overload it, it doesn't wash properly of course. (It wasn't too bad though, even with a very large load, and nowhere near as bad as the [censored word removed] the last machine would leave on my clothes.) I haven't attempted anything like quilts yet, so can't comment on that. Not sure that a queen size washable wool quilt would be ok to put in there.

For most of my washing I use the Quick 50 program with cold water and it only takes 46 mins - fantastic! I also love the Rapid 15 minute program. Good for giving the swim gear or a soft toy a quick wash. I haven't used many other programs, other than changing the mode to do a spin or rinse and spin only.

It washes my clothes well and doesn't leave any residue or anything on them. The towels come out quite stiff but I think this is supposed to be the case with most front loaders? I won't use fabric softener in my machine, as I've read that it's not supposed to be good for it, but I use vinegar in that compartment instead.

It is also very quiet and I love that I can stop the program and it lets me add more clothes (which is another reason why I originally wanted a top loader).

I have had this machine for about 4 months now and hope that it will continue to work well for me (touch wood!). Washes well, quiet, large capacity, quick wash programs, can stop the program and add more clothes!

Severely disapointed! I would not recommend this product for anyone – We bought this machine because of its incredible features and large washing ability. With two toddlers and an enormous amount of washing it appeared to be exactly what we wanted. Now mearly 10 months later i am back to researching and purchasing a different machine. within 3 weeks of having this machine we had to call out a service man to… Read more

unblock the drain pipe, it seems it's a small hose and blocks easily. It took customer service 4 working days to fix that problem (6 days total). A massive inconvenience with two toilet training toddlers. It then blocks again a month later and not being under warrenty its a very expensive call out to have happen once a month. We have since worked out how to fix the problem ourselves and have to unblock it regularly.

The next major problem which was covered by warranty, was the door seal. It was extremely loose and would leak water, im not talking a trickle, it would gush out. It took them a total of 11 days to come out and fix, and 3 days to call me to get the ball rolling! I was completely disgusted and left without a washing machine. The service man fix the seal but cause a new issue. The seal is now too tight or big or something and the door struggles to latch and lock closed. which means i can't use the timer feature as it wont lock itself and therefore wont start. That feature was my favourite. When i rang to report this issue i was told it would take a couple of washes for the seal to stretch out. I am still (4months later) having to us my body weight on the door for it to lock!!!! I then tried to talk to customer service about having the machine replaced, i was directed from person to person and my complaints and issues were never resolved.

All in all, customer service at panasonic is awful and the washing machine itself is poorly designed. I have had nothing but trouble with it. cons far out way any pros poor design, constantly blocking, not at all good value for money

Panasonic Front Loader - Great Buy – Purchased this front loader from Appliances Online Nov '13 (wasn't in stock - they got it in for us). We paid $1208. I love it so far: has shed loads of features and options and I just washed 3 x single 2 x king sheet sets on the 'cotton rinse plus' feature and I reckon it would have been happy with another set! though a cycle has it's set temp - you can choose to use just cold water doesn't make my coffee Show reply

Great machine – Update: December 2013: Nothing bad to report, still working just as hard and running faultlessly. Purchased a week ago (June 13) after almost buying a Meile.
