Cooks ok on microwave setting but it isn’t good with some things like jacket potatoes- always overcooked. The convection oven is ok for small items but make sure the food is covered. Splatters are impossible to remove from the interior. No amount of wiping and scrubbing can remove some spots. My previous LG cooked just as well but was easy to clean. I recommend avoiding the ss interior. Show details
Great for small households – The oven part of our freestanding stove stopped working so we bought this combo to keep us going until the whole kitchen replaced. Have had it for more than two years and have had no problems with buttons as some other reviewers have reported. As a small household it worked well as both a microwave and oven. Will continue to use the convection… Read more · 1
oven setting after we get new 'proper' oven as saves a lot of power for small meals compared to conventional oven. Big fan of convection-microwave combination, speeds up oven cooking whilst still getting baked taste and texture. Biggest grumble is plate keeps 'clunking' when turning as though it doesn't stay on the turntable part. Gives a very annoying noise, and worried that the glass plate will eventually break. Not particularly easy to clean but spray on oven cleaner works well.
Great convection/grill/microwave – Very good Microwave - excellent build quality, a wide range of functions, a good sized interior, easy to use and a great accompanying booklet. I have only cooked one meal from scratch in it and have also reheated a few things, but impressed with it and it is a big step up from my previous one. Show details · 1
I don't recommend purchasing the NN-CD58JS – I don't recommend anyone purchasing this Microwave. The concept is great - being a 3-in-1 cooker. But you will have issues with the buttons. They are flimsy. And already I have had the cancel button disappear and get stuck in the fascia. Now I am unable to use the STOP/Cancel button. I rang Panasonic support and now i have to take it to a repair… Read more
centre a good 30kms away. Not very convenient at all. And only 5 months old. My last microwave i had for 12 years and not a single issue - that is until it died.
Good microwave/convection oven reliability questionable – We bought this unit May 2022, worked well until December '23 when turntable stopped turning. I replaced the turntable motor, but it then turned continually. As I couldn't get any satisfaction contacting GoodGuys, Tuggerah, I arranged repair privately. All up cost about half the price of new replacement, but kept it out of landfill for now. I… Read more
believe we could have claimed statutory warranty for this, but communication with the supplier was very difficult.
Great multi use kitchen appliance – Previous model we have was NN-SD686S, lasted over 10 years with continuous abuse, it was still working accept when during our once a year clean we dropped it and it failed to turn on. Our last purchased was from The Good Guys so we also acquired the newer model 3 in 1 convection oven from the same store, brand and colour. We paid $479 for the… Read more · 1
unit with $75 for added security for 3 years.
The new design is not much differ from our old. Still not easy to keep clean if doing grease cooking (inside glass), the layout is simple 6 push buttons located just under the digital display and 5 more below the time adjustment knob, personally would preferred touch button rather push button; which often can get clog with dirt and or food during preparation. Also the could do away with the one button for on and off. With push button it make it harder to control the desire and hence we are restricted to a preset 10 secs block. The power presets are restricted to 4 settings. Another improvement could be making it harder to mark with fingerprints or easier to clean, at present time it does showed up very easy after you the door or the push buttons area.
The unit come with your standard glass turntable, grill/roasting rack and drip tray/baking tray For me the wire rack is slightly high; this however come in handy for toast or toasted croissant or mini pizza. Panasonic could make life more simpler by adding a medium height rack, this would make it perfect. The microwave comes with so many pre set programs menu.
Personally the dual or combination function, we often use convection and grill, this reduce the cooking time, as we no longer need to do long preheat the microwave. We try to cook oven chips and so far the outcomes is good, is it better then air fryer? No. However it could do with a bit more power; perhaps in the newer model. The drip tray is useful for the roasting and grill function, however it was tedious to wash and hence we often cover it with either baking paper or aluminium foil to assist with the washing.
Overall happy with the purchase, just need more time with it to determine to fully utilise it and it longevity.
Panasonic Microwave where everything works – Sat down for a few days getting familiar with my new Panasonic NN-CD58JS 3 in 1 combination microwave. Everything about this little 27L Convection, Grill, Microwave is a pleasure to use, once you learn how to drive it. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is the almost incoherent User Manual. This condition is typical throughout the small … Read more · 1
appliance market. I could fill many pages here to explain why but I still managed to navigate my way around. Again no back-light on Control Panel but at least buttons are rarely missed even in the dim light of the evening. Compared to my last Microwave (same power output) this unit is 20% more efficient with a few tests I conducted, very pleased. Build quality is acceptable, 30 second Button is handy, User Interface works well, 6 Power Settings are just enough, is easy to keep clean and has a large turntable. Everything about unit works very well. Time will tell on reliability as in today's world Microwaves tend not to be very robust. As with all my other Reviews, I will report back here immediately if thing start going a rye.
Situation Normal – Was quite happy to begin with...... But as per usual, 1 month out of the warranty period, it broke. Went to push the start button & it just disappeared into the machine?? What is most annoying, is in regional NSW repairers are very light on the ground (we have 1 in this area), & it's a 1.5-hour drive back the location of purchase. I was… Read more
unfortunate enough to leave a half decent rating for this appliance in my first review but should have known better. I think my new policy will wait for the warranty period to expire & see how long the appliance lasts after that date. No doubt the Panasonic company will see this review & send me a new machine ASAP but won't be holding my breath.
Hi R Nader, we're sorry to hear of your poor experience, please call 132600 for further assistance
thanks
Would not buy again – This mocrowave needed fixing during warranty - apparently due a blown fuse. Then it stopped again when out of warranty (at about 18 months after purchase). We decided to buy different brand model and not waste more time taking the Panasonic for repair. Its replacement came with a 3 year warranty. Show details
Great Microwave. So easy to use – I was curious to try all the modes as I could as I've never had a combo oven before. This microwave does everything just so well and just as the manual says. The convection feature does fish beautifully and leaves it moist and well cooked. As long as you follow the manual and give it a good read it all comes out great. Highly recommend and glad I did the research and bought this unit. Show details · 1
