Bought the unit in November 2025. I have had two previous models and they have been great. This unit is slightly smaller than its predecessors. Nice for bench space. The microwave is spot on with actual power settings rather than Low Medium and High. Convection works perfectly and the preheat indicator is great. Fortunately I did not buy the oven for its air frying function. I would be very disappointed if I had. The range of food that can be air fried is extremely limited. If you try to air fry any food that is thicker than about 40mm it will be incinerated. The air fryer basket is way too close to the top element. If you want a microwave / convection oven I recommend it highly, but if you are looking for an air fryer buy a dedicated air fryer.

Good product now — but poor after‑sales experience. I purchased a new Panasonic 4-in-1 air fryer / convection / grilling / microwave oven that, from day one, struggled to heat food properly with the microwave. For example, it took around five minutes to heat a single cup of water to only 57 °C. Over several weeks, I exchanged multiple emails with Panasonic’s after‑sales team. Unfortunately, I was repeatedly asked for the same information I had already provided and was eventually told the unit was “in good working order” despite the clear performance issue.

Eventually, I took the microwave to an authorised repairer, who confirmed it was faulty and replaced the magnetron. After repairs, the microwave now works as expected.

While I’m happy with the product’s performance now, the after‑sales process was frustrating and unnecessarily drawn out.

I hope Panasonic reviews its customer support approach so that genuine faults are acknowledged and resolved more efficiently in future.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $849.

I bought this a month ago on recommendation from the store assistant. It is absolute rubbish. 1) Very underpowered microwave. 2) Air fryer utter rubbish, 1 & 1/2 hours to cook fish pieces and some chips & they still weren't cooked thru. Packet said 35 mins in an air fryer. Have tried many different things, even showed friends with air fryers and all have said it’s a rubbish machine. 3) Grill & convection take longer than my normal oven so what’s the point, I might as well just use my oven. DO NOT buy this, it is a waste of money RRP over $900. I wish I spent $100 on an air fryer & $150 on a microwave, I would be hundreds of $$'s better off and have devices that actually work. Cant believe I’m stuck with this rubbish now until it dies as I can’t afford to replace it!! Our last microwave was a Panasonic, at the time, top of the range unit. It lasted just under 2 years. I should have learnt my lesson then with Panasonic. The shop assistant told us that this is the latest & greatest microwave that does everything now so we thought we would get one as a lot of friends said they air fry a lot & it’s great. Well this unit is rubbish, takes at least 5x the time suggested on the packet to cook. It’s actually quicker to heat up the full oven and cook in it than use this microwave / air fryer.

Purchased in at The Good Guys Physical store.

***UPDATE*** I see there is another review of the same product with the same complaints! Doesn't work & poor after sales service. I gave up after the 3rd phone call & 5th email trying to get the poor performance fixed, Panasonic after sales service is useless to say the least & this product is utter rubbish. STAY CLEAR OF PANASONIC.................

Hi Jamie, would it be possible for you to provide me a case reference # so that we may investigate internally? Many thanks MC

Jamie B.

Panasonic never gave me a case number, i don't have one. Initial contact i was forced into your online chat system where i was not able to speak with a human, it was all messages back & forth. Eventually you asked for my number & i was called. Every call the same questions were asked with the same information given just as the numerous online chat sessions. I never heard back from Panasonic from the last call which was to provide me with details on organizing replacement.

Hi Jaime, if you lodge a mediation request, it will only come to Panasonic to action. You can then choose if you want to publish at the completion of the process.
