Good Life OK Performance – Ours lasted 13 years before the door shattered. The microwave was still working so we got good value. However performance wise it was hit and miss. If you are heating multiple dishes one after the other the heating of the later meals was very inconsistent. Show details

Very Good, now 12 years and still going well – Have generally been pleased with Panasonic products, my first microwave from the mid 1980's was a National branded one with the twin rotating dials (powerlevel and timer) that was still going strong after some 10 years. For 2 years purchased a couple of house branded microwaves (<$100) and both only lasted less than 12 months. Paid much higher… Read more ·  2

price for the Panasonic NN-ST667W(was purchased in 2008), and after 12 years use, only item that needed replacement was the interior light bulb (last month). The microwave is used most days mainly for re-heating. Note that the plastic front door and surround still looking white and smart, has not discoloured, unlike some other brands where the plastics has yellowed(and they look terribly old). The missing feature is that there is no quick start, like pressing once for 30sec, twice for 1 minute,...When this one eventually dies, I would buy another Panasonic, I would recommend this brand.

Lasted over 7 years – I have had this microwave for over 7 years. Good size for a family. It has been used on a daily basis and has been a very good microwave. It is simple to use with great options. Vegetables are cooked perfectly every time with the sensing feature, it reheats, defrosts and many more functions. I got value for money when I purchased it in 2008. Today the turntable has finally stopped rotating and I'm going Panasonic for its replacement!

Disappointed it didnt live longer – This wasn't really the cheapest one to chose but we thought we'll make an investment and it would stay with us for a while. Well it didn't. It lasted 3 years which I think is really not that great, considering that my coffee machine is nearly 10. Now I just opted for a cheap microwave. That way I won't be as disappointed when it blows up.

Good performance, and Easy to use – Have found this to be a good cooker, and would buy a similar model, when this one finally dies. Have been using Panasonic Microwave cookers, from when they were called National. Being a bit lightly built since being made in China, is a concern, yet still fairly reliable. Many don't understand the Panasonic Microwaves, Cooling Feature. It is an… Read more

important function, which cools the Magnetron and Dries out the Cookers ventilation system, which is important to extend the life of the unit, and limit/prevent corrosion, So best to put up with it, as the blower/fan uses very little power, extends the life of the unit = less landfill due to these appliances worn out early, and being dumped. A very much, Environmentally Friendly Feature.

Good m/w unit for the price – We were forced last year to replace a National Panasonic Genius II microwave purchased 1979/80. It was still going strong after 32 years of daily use. It was put out of service by a so-called 'authorised' serv ice agent when we took it along to replace the magatron, a non-user serviceable part. When I went to pick it up a couple weeks later, the… Read more

front touch pad was in pieces and no acceptable explanation was provided for the unit being made unusable. After doing a bout with the service agent with the Office of Fair Trading, I took the compensation money for their unauthorised repair and purchased the NN-ST667W after checking out various reviews. Overall, while it will never truly replace the sturdy build quality of our old unit, nonetheless it is fully functional and has a reasonable build quality, despite no longer being 'Made in Japan'. It is now 10 months down the road, and with a clean after use policy in place, the unit still looks and works as new and has not missed a beat. Good work Panasonic! My only cons are the interior height is a lot shallower than we were used to (same on competitor's models) and has less functions and not as controllable as the old model. If anything, it feels very fragile with the abundance of plastic materials, particularly the door which was glass in the old unit My rating of 4 from 5 stars represents good, but not brilliant. We may not get 32 years of service from it, but I am confident that it will still be a reliable unit after 5 years of daily use, and that's not a bad return on investment. Cooks efficiently & evenly, clear display, compact size, and to date, has proved reliable Height too shallow. Menu functions choices limiting. Door 'feels' fragile.

Panasonic NN-ST667W – Had mine for 3.5 years then error H97 appeared and it will not heat. Very disappointed. Was happy with its functionality and ease of use, not sure if I'll buy Panasonic again? The turbo defrost is a particularly useful function and worked really well. The sensor reheat wasn't as good as expected, tended to over heat. Defrost was great, never cooked the meat during turbo defrost didn't last long.

Disappointed with lack of longevity – Initially pleased with size, power of Panasonic. Negatives-Condensation was profuse when cooking food for longer than 2 minutes. Worked well while it lasted, however "blew up" 2 nights ago. Dangerous. Thought my whole kitchen was going to catch fire, smell was awful. Previous microwave lasted 6 years. This one about 18 months-not value for… Read more

money!!!! Initially pleased with cooking power Expensive, obviously not made well if it can't last much beyond 12 month warranty

Best microwave I have ever had! – The microwave has never skipped a beat. It is easy to use and works a treat. This is my first Panasonic microwave and I would absolutely recommend a Panasonic to anyone. I have recently built my own home and the kitchen comes with a Smeg convection microwave kitted... I preferred my Panasonic. Size was perfect (fits anyone standard-sized plate or… Read more

bowl), reliability- everything still functions as new, inexpensive - there are far more expensive microwaves on the market that offer no real benefit.

Awesome Microwave, I couldn't live without it – This is an excellent microwave. For the last year and a half I have had no oven or stove due to renovations so most of the household cooking has been done in this microwave. It has never missed a beat, and it does exactly what you want it to do reliably. There is no way I could have lived without it for the last year and a half. We have had no issues with it whatsoever. reliable, large, easy to clean, easy to use

Terrible – After a mere 3 years no longer works. Has been suggested 'inverter' technology doesn't help? Size was excellent, however now need to search for a brand which lasts. The size. Failied after only 3 years.

Bad – Unfortunately I have found my oven very unreliable and frustrating to use as there is obviously a fault with it. I am very disappointed that I've only had 3 years out of it. It still works, when it works, but I'm fed up with it and will now be replacing it. I liked this microwave when it worked and when it worked I was happy with it. A nice… Read more

looking oven and easy to clean. I've had trouble from day one with this microwave. First one was replaced as it didn't work. The replacement one has been sent to be fixed twice. The problem is still there. It intermittently cuts out and keeps doing so. I also didn't like the power button that had to be pressed a number of times to get the level of power you wanted. I use defrost a bit and it is number 3 out of 10 so a lot of pressing to get from 10 to 3.

Bad – Very disappointed. This is the first time I have bought a Panasonic microwave and to have it only work for just over a year before breaking is very annoying. Cost of fixing it prohibitive and I will not be buying any more Panasonic products in the future. Stick to Sharp in the future..... Looks and Features. Great while you can actually use it.… Read more

That shortly after the warranty ran out (12 months) the door catch now refuses to work. Very hard to open and sometimes can't open at all.

Bad – I bought two of these, one for my dad's partner and one for myself at the same time. Thought that with Panasonic's good name, and as my grandmother always had Panasonics and never had any problems, that my first microwave should be a Panasonic. Dad's partner hasn't told me she's had any problems with hers, but mine has stopped working. H97 error… Read more

apparently means that something is not working anymore (magnetron, inverter etc). After 2 1/2 years, and I only use it once a week at the most, but she uses hers nearly every day! How is this so??

Cooling function is quite annoying, but I found you could take the food out and let it "cool" itself down.. condensation buildup on the inside of the door is quite irritating and you can't get rid of it..

It seems that I will have to replace this microwave now, and I won't be buying another Panasonic. Thanks for breaking down though right at sales time! I'll be looking at a Sharp Carousel or something else, not at this microwave again! Looks nice.. cooks well (while it works).. easy functionality and good sensor cooking. Why did it have to stop working after only 2 1/2 years of being used less than once per week?? And the one COLD morning I wanted porridge?? Cool function is quite annoying but you can take your food out and let it do its thing if you want. Condensation is also quite annoying.

Excellent – We have a new kitchen with a microwave oven "nook" so we were restricted in the size of microwave oven we could fit. Most of what we liked was just a little too big. Although this oven is of modest dimensions it has quite a large cavity (larger than some of the ovens that were too big to fit in our "nook". Wer did not have to get the owners manual… Read more

out to figure out how to use it, the controls are logical and user friendly. I really like the styling and quality feel of the buttons and pressure pads. Easy to use controls.

OK – This is a nice microwave that is attractive and simple to operate. While we would have liked a bigger microwave, this one is really large enough for our family. There is never a day that this machine is not used and usually it is used three or four times a day. We shopped around, read reviews, and decided this was the best unit for the money at… Read more

the time. Our microwave sits in an enclosed microwave shelf above the oven. The last microwave would overheat and shut down, but this one works fine. Attractive and works well The sensor defrost does not always defrost enough or can go too long.
