Love it! – I can thoroughly recommend this rice cooker. We wanted one with a timer so that we could set it up, as well as the slow cooker, so that a whole meal is ready when we get home from work and it works perfectly. We have had it for over a year and it has lasted really well. It is easy to clean, reliable and makes great rice. I am now going to experiment with porridge because it says it can also cook a whole variety of other food too.
Fantastic Rice Cooker – I got my Panasonic SR-MS183WST from Harvey Norman, by replacing horrible Tefal 3 in 1 with this cute rice cooker. It removes my nightmare from my previous Tefal 3 in 1. It not only cooks well, but also no water/starch water splashing everywhere from the vent ! It also cooks in a very silent way. I can hear nothing while it is cooking. The other good thing is I only added AUD41 to get Panasonic (display unit) by replace my Tefal 3 in 1.
So the price is AUD110 for this Panasonic ! A good bargain for a display unit. The new unit price is AUD169 & Harvey Norman currently has a sale for AUD149. Since it out of stock & I don’t want to wait for the new one, I grab the display unit. I just realized it missed the rice spoon (maybe due to it was displayed), but yeay I love this rice cooker !
Not yet trying the other program, but I'm sure it will be good as well. Silent, easy to use, cook rice well, good looking & modern.
Absolutely Fabulous :) – Previously thought who would bother buying another novelty gadget like this... And I bought one anyway. AND absolutely loving it! Not only it is a cutie, it gets the job done quickly and easily. A great addition to any household. In my opinion, making cakes in this machine is a bit excessive, I shall give it a go however.. Fast and hassle free restaurant quality rice in your own kitchen! Nothing much; when steaming, if you overload the tray it takes a lot longer to steam through, but not an issue as this is all quite logical
Perfect Rice Cooker – I bought it from Binglee and bargined with the staff get a good price, $100. It is easy to use, and easy to clean. I always use quick cook, I think the rice is similar as normal white rice cook program, can't taste too much differences. I love the time setting program, every night I put in rice and water, set it to porridge, and set as 6:00am, so I can eat great porridge before working, it saves me a lot of times. Only one thing I don't like is, sometime I put in too much water, for normal rice cooker, I can push the cook button again, it will re-cook for a few minutes, the rice will taste better, however this one you can't push the button to ask it to recook. Great time setting program
Nearly Perfect – So easy to use. So easy to clean. Just about [censored word removed] proof & perfect rice every time. Super light weight with a carry handle built-in!! Not just rice - steaming shellfish, making soups, cakes, porridge. Pop in the ingredients, press a button or two and go do whatever. Buzzer goes off and it's ready. Press the button to open the lid so no risk of scalding (as reported for other rice cooker brands) Easy, easy, easy, compact and lightweight I should think a programme count-down timer would be more useful than yet another digital clock in the kitchen.
