Where can I buy a SR-ZE 105 inner pot? – I am happy with this rice cooker, but the inner pot needs to be replaced, I can't find it sold anywhere...even statewide appliance..I will be very appreciated with any information about the inner pot
I am happy with this rice cooker – I have this rice cooker for man than 15 months now. Use it daily. It cooks rice really well. I have tried white rice, jasmine, basmati and sticky rice. Steam function is really helpful when I make Biryani at home. Quick option is great. Rice is cooked very well if compared to an ordinary rice cooker. I spent around $279.very satisfied with my purchase. Cleaning is also very easy. The inner rubber can be taken out and washed. Show details · 1
Cannot live without it – I always purchase Panasonic rice cooker because of her reputation. It's a multi-function cooker and you can do most of your cooking with it. The best function is can able to set-up the time when the dish/rice been ready. This rice cooker would fully recommend to a mum or working class people. Show details
Steaming Mad – The appliance cooks rice perfectly as you would expect from a Japanese designed product. Unfortunately we believe there is an inherent fault with the quality of the steam basket. After about half a dozen uses, the steam basket has started to deform and the tabs that fit into the channels slip out and the basket tilts down 30 degrees. A bit like… Read more
a sinking ship !
As the unit was only months old and still under warranty we sent photographs to Panasonic 'Customer Service' who eventually replied and said they would replace the basket. One month passes and Panasonic finally replied:
"We were unable to source a spare part for the basket and we would like to advise you to go back to the retailer for further assistance".
Seeing it was the retailer who told us to contact Panasonic in the first place, I find it unbelievable that the manufacturer cannot provide a spare part, as mentioned on their website or secondly, cannot just go down to the warehouse and open a new box and send the basket. Simple.
So potential buyers, beware of the tilting steam baskets !
Super rice cooker! – Tiger is too expensive for the average Joe, the Panasonic is as close as you will get, it works perfectly every time, brown rice is superbly cooked, yes it takes a long time for brown but it does it right. Claypot feature is great, they include a recipe book and the chicken rice is really good for a quick tasty meal. So glad I bought this unit,… Read more · 1
fought with cheap cookers for years, now all I need to do is find a spare bowl for the Pana so I don't have to worry about parts in 5yrs time!
Excellent Value for Money – Bought this rice cooker from Kambos online. Took a month to be delivered. The cooker cooks rice well and to the same texture as the expensive Japanese rice cooker I bought from Japan. But that rice cooker burnt out in 6 months. Thus I bought the Panasonic SR-ZE185 to replace that short-lived cooker. Show details
Excellent rice – This cooker is fast, efficient and cooks fluffy rice if you add a little extra water. It is a little fiddly to clean and the lid lock is a bit brittle looking however the non stick coating is better than most other brands. Highly recommended as a quality product, we love it. Hopefully this will be good enough no Problem till now. if something happens I will post it again. Rice rice the best rice this side of Tokyo – No more soggy or gluggy rice! This rice cooker makes rice just like you get in Japan, perfectly cooked and just the right texture for a grain by grain mouthfeel. The quick cook option is great but if you have the extra time the full, soak and cook cycle is brilliant. Keeps your rice warm too, so you can precook or go back for more. I live this cooker! Does a great job – This is a terrific unit. The only thing I don't like is the plastic steaming tray. It's a 2 piece unit that can be set in 2 sizes. I would prefer 2 separate units for ease of use and particularly washing up. Other than than no complaints. Controls are easy to use and results are always spot on. Show details
Love it – Have recently purchased this rice cooker from Bing Lee for $129 and it is worth every penny. Was going to go with the cheaper model, but liked the timer function and choice of different rices, etc on the m nu. Use it to cook rice on 3 or 4 times a week; perfect every time. Easy to use, easy to clean and stows away nicely in a kitchen drawer. Show details
Great rice cooker and so much more – Cooking rice isn't an exact science, depends on what rice you use and how much water you put so you can't really blame a rice cooker for Making rice dry or mushy. Rice cooker makes nice fluffy rice and doesn't burn the bottom as long as you don't leave keep warm function for over an hour. Cooked soups, pasta, oats and everything in it. However downside is it's quite bulky Show details
Rice is dry – I brought this after reading all the great reviews for Panasonic rice cookers. No matter which type of rice I cook they all come out too dry. I've followed the instructions to the letter, washed the rice until it's translucent and still it comes out dry. The 'fuzzy logic' does not allow for adjusting water levels to get a fluffier rice. I've… Read more
had better rice from cheaper cookers and, frankly, can cook fluffier rice in the microwave. Another reason I got this brand was the option to steam vegetables, but the vegetables come out mushy and you can really only cook vegetables of the same density at the same time. Carrot stains the steam basket.
For such an expensive rice cooker I expected much better quality.

Low Heat Rice Cooker – I have used a few rice cookers in the past, almost exclusively for cooking porridge overnight with a timer. What this one stands out is that it seems to be a low power / low heat device. This is quite nice in saving power but if you mix in other non-rice ingredients such as beans and peanuts they don't get cooked quite enough to me; I get a couple of under-cooked beans almost every time - even though there is some 7 hours of soaking time. Great help for busy mum – Own this for 6months now. Using it everyday, can't live without it. Non stick coating, easy to wash. Cook rice, congee, soup, bolognase sauce and curry. Timer setting. Just simply throw in all ingredients and walk away. Great kitchen gadget for mum with newborn and toddler. Would suggest using slow cook function for all non rice cooking. My bolognase sauce was burnt.
