hardwood that would burn for at least 10 hours in previous fires we’ve had. It smoked for weeks after we started using it with a nasty chemical smell while it cured. Every time you open the door, hot embers & ash fall all over the floor below because there isn’t a sufficiently high enough lip on either door. It’s dangerous. Very disappointed. We are now having to put a wood burner at the other end of the house to keep warm throughout the winter in rural Western Australia, which wasn’t what we had anticipated or budgeted for!
