Fantastic Paving with Attention To Detail – Very quick to respond from web site enquiry and visit, to talk through ideas. Worked seamlessly with Amber tiles. Job was done with extreme attention to detail and helpful suggestions along the way. Would definitely recommend George, Joe and Gabriel from Pave 21 for a fast and extremely professional job.
Can't recommend – This guy sent me in circles. If you want professional look elsewhere. Quoted then never showed. Booked in and never came. What's the point . Why bother... Go with someone professional
Pave 21 Reliability – George of Pave 21 freely gave of his time to inspect and give an expert opinion on paving works on a same day basis. His courteous and professional approach and obvious expertise were very helpful.
Paving job & small amount of concreting – Used Pave 21 for relatively small paving job. George was always on time, has a good team & they were easy to work with. The price was reasonable & we were very satisfied with the result. E & B August 2020
Good price - Happy with final product – We had a couple of new paved pathways put in our building. Pave21 were on time, prompt to respond and completed within the timeframe. Pathways came out great. Happy with final product and would recommend.
Good service and professional – Needed repair work from a previous operator. On time , good price. Most important i was explained the process of what the previous operator did wrong and how to correct it. Happy with the final product.
Good quality work at a good price – Pave21 turned up on time. They did a good job on the pavers in the timeframe they quoted. They were well priced, easy to communicate with, polite and respectful. I would definitely recommend them based on the job they did for us.
Very expensive for below average result – We contracted Pave21 to install our driveway and 60m2 of sandstone around our property. The driveway was installed with pavers fairly well. The sandstone was a mess. I had to project manage each step. - They proposed having a courtyard that had a 10-15 degree slope to a drain just so they wouldn't need to get more sand. - [name removed]… Read more
promised a beautiful, porcelain grate above our drainage pit... and instead he cut some slits into a piece of sandstone with a grinder, and they weren't even straight. I had to buy a new drain cover myself and fit it with a cut piece of sandstone.
- With all paving you're supposed to compact the ground first with a mechanical compactor. They just smoothed the ground and laid the sandstone. I can already see some areas sagging after a few weeks. [name removed] said his compactor was broken so he told me to go rent one for him if I wanted him to use one.
- They used dark grey cement between white/cream colour sandstone. It looked horrible and I had to get it done again. UPDATE: It's been 2 months now and the cement between the sandstone on the steps is deteriorating already and gaps are forming. I contacted [name removed] and he did agree to come back and re-grout the steps, which is the reason why this is a 2 star review and not 1.
- [name removed] also requested a progress payment for 6k. I said no problem, and then in my inbox I receive an invoice for 7k.
- [name removed] also noted in his contract that he would remove all rubbish after the job. He didn't... and claimed that bricks and other debris dug up during the job for laying the sandstone isn't his rubbish, so my builder had to take it away at his cost. UPDATE: Pave 21 is now threatening to come over, dig up and remove my driveway pavers because of a disagreement he's having with my builder over who should pay for the rubbish removal... from the paving. Very happy that I've installed security cameras :)
The job is now complete, but I would never use Pave 21's services again for any other jobs and certainly would never recommend them. 2 stars because they did come back to fix up the grout, and the guys that worked for [named removed] tried their best, however I'm still pretty disappointed with the outcome.
Happy with the work – The Pave 21 Team turned up on time and did all the work within two days just as they promised. a great paving job, love my new garden. They were very professional and worked diligently until the job was done and for a reasonable price.
Drainage system does not work – Convinced me that a drainage system would protect the building. Unfortunately the $11000 drainage system does not collect water and if water is put into system water does not flow. Asked many times from Pave 21 to return and correct the problems but they just ignore my requests.
Pave 21 Paving & Landscaping - poor quality, nil customer service - incomplete works still! – The work started out good with verbal commitments from Pave 21's owner of high quality, expertise, honesty and completing works with in 4 to 6 weeks. 3 months later, all payments made (in good faith), some works remain incomplete and Pave 21 owner has not accepted our phone calls to returned to complete the works and make repairs. After 1… Read more
week of many attempts to contact the owner, a Pave 21 representative agreed to meet to create a "plan of works" (LOL, not to complete the work but to "plan it"). To date, we have not receive confirmation of when Pave 21 intends to return to complete works and repairs.
It looks as if we may have to take the next step and start legal proceedings and report the company to the NSW Department of Fair Trading. Mainly to ensure Pave 21 does not do this to anyone else. Not something a reputable business would put a customer through.
Put it down our inexperience and trusting an honest business to keep their word to complete works.
******* At this stage, we do not recommend anyone using Pave 21 for any works. *******
See below for details of uncompleted works/repairs:
1) Poor Drip-water irrigation design - not fully functional:
* drip-water not connected to 1 pot
* drip-water not connected to 1 entire garden bed.
* 2 x end plugs not used (e.g. duct tape was used to join one end, the other end not plugged), i.e. making the entire drip-water system not fully functional as water pressure is not maintained.
* pipes not pinned to garden bed - i.e. not targeted at plants and hanging off garden beds.
2) Capping on block seating moving with slight pressure. Insufficient/incorrect glue used?
3) Synthetic turf:
* has noticeable joins
* some joins simply place down with nil tape or pins, creating a trip hazard. OHS issue!
* some sections have nil pins
* 3 sections of turf not wide enough so a small slit is simply placed on top hide the gap with nil tape or pins!
4) Soil in garden beds - some sections not fully replaced with organic mix.
5) Link Edge, garden edging - poor finish at joins. Joins coming apart already. Nil rivets were used to connect.
6) Have not been able to obtain a receipt for any payments - our inexperience for not demanding this at each payment! We were too trusting : (
