I appreciated the support of a junior lawyer during an initial call; they were helpful and appeared well-prepared. However, the senior lawyer originally assigned to my matter, though courteous, did not seem to have reviewed the background materials I had submitted. As a result, the advice I received was general and not well suited to my specific circumstances.

Two hours before the scheduled meeting, I was sent a lengthy legal document that resembled a formal contract. Only after I raised questions was I told it had been sent in error.

Perhaps most concerning was the lack of awareness or sensitivity to the distressed state many clients are in when seeking legal help. That, along with a clear disconnect between the service delivered and the fees charged, made this a disappointing and frustrating experience.

In hindsight, I should have read other clients’ reviews before engaging this firm. I cannot recommend them.

Zero Stars, actually negative stars!!! Mis-leaded me into thinking they could help me. Got me as a client made me paid up front and then nothing. Charged me for emails and phone calls. Crickets As Well. Unprofessional Organisation – Same as Troy. I contacted them, I spent lots of time sending through what they asked me to, followed up, but nothing but crickets. How damn unprofessional is that? Don't waste your time. They don't deserve your custom.

Key Points of My Experience:

Unexpected Financial Charges: I was surprised to receive an invoice totaling $1,241.00, which included charges for emails and phone calls. These charges were not clearly communicated to me upfront, leading to a financial strain that I had not anticipated. Lack of Written Advice: For the contract review service, which was part of the billed items, I only received oral advice on a contract review. As a first-time homebuyer, the absence of detailed written guidance is a concern as we did not have anything in writing to refer to.

Communication Gaps: Throughout the process, I encountered delays and ambiguities in communication from PCL lawyers. I refer to an incident regarding attempting to reach settlement by 2022 in order to avoid paying land tax. The lack of clarity and misleading information added to my anxiety during a crucial period of settling my first home.

Response to Feedback: When I expressed my concerns, PCL lawyers did not respond. My attempts to seek amicable resolution were left with no responses from PCL Lawyers. Once it reached the Managing Partner, Glenn Duker (only after when I left a negative review), the conclusion was that no misconduct occurred. Upon highlighting my concerns again, there was no response from PCL lawyers.

Final Thoughts: Based on my personal experience and opinion, I would NOT recommend PCL Lawyers. I advise any home buyers to thoroughly discuss and understand all aspects of service, including communication protocols and billing practices.

Please note: Previously, PCL lawyers have threatened legal action for my previous review (Which I deleted and tried to resolve the matter but I had been unsuccessful).

argument. It was like he was doing surgery and he made it look easy. He had an answer for everything they threw at him. The apprentice just went away and I haven't heard from him or his bully of a rep again!

Huge thanks for not only protecting my business but doing it so professionally and making us look good too.

Terrible first experiencie – I made enquiry regarding a business contract matter. 3 hrs later got a call from their litigation team. I felt like I was talking to a robot.

Performance review – Terrible firm as commented by others , I agree with the comments made . I was told he will read . But he hadn’t read a word , go elsewhere , there are nicer ones around ,this firm is so arrogantly ignorant. It’s not funny , hourly rate is ridiculously high , says rudely that his assistant will tell . 8 have asked for a tax invoice

Terrible firm - avoid – Ongoing matter which their senior solicitor is refusing to address. It appears I may have also been blocked on Facebook as I left a less than favorable, honest review. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for decent legal advice.

um’s, ah’s, and flicking through the document. I then politely offered another week but unsurprisingly he made the decision to not bother showing up. I then received an invoice for a contract review which is a document that I have not received. To be clear the only document that I have received is an invoice for a document that I have not received. I have also contacted them countless times to close the account and have the remaining trust funds returned yet no action. We’ve now clocked 5 months of silence.
