Worst Property Management Experience Ever As a landlord, I had a terrible experience with Peak Central managing my property. At first, they installed a smoke alarm without getting my approval, which was a major breach of trust. The manager, Mitchell, just forwarded messages between me and the tenants without any effort to mediate or resolve… Read more
issues, making communication tense and ineffective. As an overseas landlord, I found their unresponsiveness infuriating—they ignored my emails for weeks, only replying after I chased them multiple times (at least three emails for a single response).
Worst of all, they allowed a utility company access for repair/checking that damaged my RCD, then billed me AUD 302.50 through their partnered electrician, far exceeding the quoted amount $85+GST, without any further notice. This was especially frustrating as my other property elsewhere has been issue-free with a different agency. I strongly advise landlords to avoid Peak Central—their lack of professionalism and care cost me time, money, and stress. Switching to a new agency now, and I wish I’d done it sooner.
KEEP AWAY. Do not touch – Wow Peak Central you really are in a class of your own. From doggy agreements, ridiculous wait times for repairs, letting landlord through the house with no notice to the renovation bill at end of lease. If I could give a negative star rating review I would Their property manager lady had given us a doggy agreement and she knew it was a major… Read more
mistake in the agreement for the rental increase to be made by “as per market value” which is illegal and she wouldn’t take no for an answer she thought she was always right, until we contacted DMIRS and they had to back pay us.
Then to top this off yes they strike again, She rang and said “ I have voided your lease renewal as there has been a complaint to consumer protection (DMIR) and were waiting on a response from the landlord.. this is also illegal. this is when she disappeared from peak. We then had to report to [Name Removed] what a wonderful man he is, he only ever really wanted to talked over the phone. I have never ever felt so bullied, intimidated and threatened before. What an absolute circus of a real estate you are running Peak Central..
KEEP AWAY!!!!!!
Still waiting – As a tenant, when I needed maintenance done,I got the round the run around, delays in handling it and excuses. Agent’s incompetence cost me money If I had an investment property it would never be with these guys
Friendly staff – Highly professional and friendly staff who take pride in their work.
worst service – Just like other reviews this place tries to charge you for a renovation at the end of your lease. Nightmare of an agency. They have disabled their facebook reviews due to all the negative feedback.
They will breach your privacy – If I could give this company negative stars I would. I have previously rented with Semple and the Agency Perth. Both of which were great with clear communication throughout the whole rental process. Peak Central Cockburn on the other hand is the worst company I've had to deal with in my 10 years of renting. They had one of their employees sneak… Read more
over to our rental house and take photos (we're unsure why). We had no cars parked at the front so they must of thought we weren't home. We saw someone through the windows and saw they were taking photos, getting up close to the house and trying to look into the backyard. We thought it was someone trying to survey the house for a future possible robbery, which is why we lodged a police report as we were worried. Later on we discovered it was PEAK CENTRAL (which they hesitantly admitted to as we confronted them) who was breaching our privacy and taking those photos. This was extremely sneaky, unprofessional and deceitful.
A word of warning, avoid this agency at all costs. There are plenty of good rentals agencies that are far more trustworthy.
Do not rent with them – They try to charge you for a renovation at the end of your lease when there are zero issues throughout.
Charge for maintenance after ending lease without giving time and notice to return and fix the issues – Leased the property in spearwood with them for 6 months then renewed for another six-month term. While in the first lease term there was heavy rain and the drains were blocked by sand and roots. The garage was flooded while our boxes were still there to be unpacked and were damaged by the water that build up. Contacted Peak Central Real Estate… Read more
and they said it was a natural cause and they could not do anything. We lost some family photos in the flood. After the end of the 6-month lease term, we contacted the agency to extend the lease for another six months and there was no problem. After two months of the new lease term, we were approved to buy our house. We inform the real estate we would break the lease. We try to find new tenants but they didn’t accept our suggestion making us pay for an extra week after vacating the property. We had the house professionally cleaned and the carpet cleaned. Made the repairs they requested in the inspection. Spoke with them regarding someone leasing the property and they said there was a new tenant secured for the lease. After two weeks after handing the keys back, I contacted Peak Central to ask for any updates regarding my bond refund and they could not give me any details. After a few hours I ended my call, I received a final property report with some issues never been mentioned before. One of the issues was the front lawn that had perished as from December to almost the end of March there was no rain. They said it was my fault and I argued it was a natural cause and I could not do anything. They ignored it. I try to contact the property manager for some updates and she said she was waiting for invoices regarding the repairs and maintenance. I asked why I wasn’t given any information and time to go back and fixed the issues and she said legally she didn’t need to give me access back to the property fixed. I went back to the property to check if the grass have been fixed in two opportunities - one when I contacted the property and the second time when I received the email with invoices to pay for the repairs and the lawn was still the same way. Would not recommend this Real Estate Agency as they are very unprofessional, change property managers constantly over the lease period e and would do anything to avoid giving your bond back. I could go back to the property and fixed the flyscreen, prune some trees, and applied grass fertilizer a lot cheaper they are charging even after 4 property inspections did not mention the issues.
