I signed up and paid a $4,000 deposit with Penrith Solar for our knock-down re-build as an owner builder. A couple of months later, due to unforeseen circumstances, we decided not to go ahead with the development. I contacted our account manager at Penrith Solar and explained the situation and requested a refund of our deposit. The owner… Read more
apparently stepped in and showed no empathy, telling us that we had signed and that he would be retaining the deposit even though no product had been delivered and no work had been done besides putting together a quote. This may be acceptable under contract law, but morally bankrupt IMO and definitely does not pass the pub test. My advice is avoid this greedy supplier like the plague!

I rang PSC and ended up speaking to Peter. In one word - exceptional. After carefully listening and understanding my solar battery inquiry he was honest enough to declare that what I was putting back into the grid was too low and not warranting a battery. Although we did not do any business, I found PSC to be highly credible. I would greatly recommend them to any prospective customer. Show details
I had solar installed on 6 March 2024 after being told my electricity bills would be around $17 per month (Quote attached). That representation was a key reason I agreed to the system. The quote was $13,835. Since installation, my electricity bills have been around $120 per month, not remotely close to what was promised. They had access to all… Read more
my previous billing to develop the quote and I stayed on those rates for 2 years. As of January 2026, I have paid over $2,300 more than what I was led to expect.
The sales estimate provided to me does not reflect real-world outcomes and appears to have been based on unrealistic assumptions that were not clearly explained at the time of sale.
I feel this was misleading and deceptive, and I would not have proceeded had accurate information been provided.
I have been in repeated contact with them for solutions and we are still not anywhere near a resolution. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.
PSC Energy installed a Sigenergy 48 kWh battery system with 19.5 kWh of solar. The entire process from start to finish was top-notch. From the initial quote — where it was clear they knew exactly what they were talking about — right through to the organisation and installation, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Follow-up · I've had the system for over a month now, no troubles at all and battery has never dropped below 70%
From walking into the showroom to better understand the current rebate and possibly getting quote, Penrith solar centre were exceptional in customer service and installing the panels/battery. I am very happy with their professional dealings and with their technicians on the day. They did an excellent job and through out the process they kept me… Read more

I had a mixed experience with Penrith Solar Centre. On the technical side, everything was excellent—they quoted us for a battery, completed the installation professionally, and used high-quality products. The team on-site was courteous and efficient, and the system has been working well since. However, things took a strange turn after we made… Read more
full payment. The company reached out claiming they had been misled by the Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy regarding government incentives and were now facing a $1.5 million shortfall that could jeopardize their business.
They asked customers—who had already paid—to contribute additional funds to help cover their losses. This felt inappropriate and left us questioning their financial planning, business planning and transparency. I offered and paid them an additional amount, although I was under no obligation to do so and I have never seen any acknowledgement on their social media or personally of the additional payments I made, and I assume many other fully paid customers would have made to help this business survive.
What added to the confusion was seeing them later post photos of the Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy visiting their factory on Facebook. It was hard to reconcile their earlier claims of being misled and facing a $1.5 million shortfall that could jeopardize their business with what looked like a cordial relationship.
While the product and installation were solid, the post-sale communication and financial handling raised serious concerns. I hope they find a way forward that doesn’t involve shifting their burden onto paying customers.
I commented on their post on Facebook regarding the Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy's visit only to have my comment deleted and to be blocked. In my opinion a respectful, timely reply to criticism can turn a disgruntled customer into a loyal one. Negative comments often highlight real issues, addressing them publicly shows maturity and commitment to quality, unfortunately in this case it looks more like arrogance and dishonesty.
Original quote for 24 kWh battery system supplied by Penrith Solar Centre (PSC Energy) on 4 June and was valid till 4 July. Then they asked for photos of the meter and the existing inverter of which I sent very quickly. I was expecting some feedback or call as a follow up for the photos I sent, but there was no movement for about 3 weeks.… Read more
Therefore I called them on 1 July to find out if everything thing is ok with the existing hardware and if so to confirm the job. However they increased the price by $2000 on the spot over the phone which was a big disappointment, even when the quote said the price is valid till 4 July. As an excuse they said the battery price remains the same but the NSW government subsidy was gone and was the reason. However I know the NSW subsidy for a 24 kWh battery system is not $2000 and there was no mention of any NSW subsidy in the quote, therefore it is not a valid argument to increase the price and it is not courteous to change the price on a legal quote anyway. They then also quickly deleted their online quote but I have the printed copy. If this company changes their word like this then I thought I will have similar treatment if any warranty claim had to be done in the future, and therefore I think it’s better that something has saved me from going ahead with this company of which the words and promises can’t be trusted.

We recently approached PSC in regards to our having solar and battery added to our new home. Our first contact was with Joel (as their consultant) who assisted us with identifying our requirements, and then designing a system that we would eventually agree upon. Prior to making the decision we were also invited to a PSC introduction to the new… Read more
Sigenergy battery/inverter system; the presentation so professional that we contacted a relative (who is across solar/battery, and who has dealt with PSC previously) to discuss the offer and received a fine review in regards to their service and indeed their suggested approach. We signed up immediately. I will add that we also discussed this with another relative who has only the other week had PSC install a similar system to his home; he too praising the effort. Last Monday we had Aaron Cottell and his teams (Luke, Jack, Adam and Liam) arrive on site to begin their work. Suffice to say that we could not have been better serviced in regards to the installation; their consulting us on each step of the process; their ensuring that no damage had been made during the installation over the two days; and indeed their ensuring the place was left tidy on completion. I honestly cannot praise these people more, and I understand why anyone who has used them have no problem displaying their promotion sign outside our property.

very well to finish the job in one day and a professional job aswell.Thank you to all the staff at PENRITH SOLAR CENTRE.
Ok, but would try someone else next time – The installation was ok, took 2 days but this might have been because we had more panels we needed. The contractors penrith solar hired did leave a bit of a mess, but after I called, they came a couple of weeks later and cleaned up, which I appreciated. I wish they had told me that I would need to connect my wifi or that it would cost me extra to… Read more
connect through an ethernet cable. They didn't provide complete information about options (only wifi option) and it is only because I asked that they told me about the wired option - this is information that should be told to customers up front. I'm not sure if the solar panels are working but I might get another solar panel company to come and check the installation, as I'm not feeling 100 percent confident.
Hassle Free Installation – I updated my Solar last week in Oct 24 after 3 quotes, and the experience was brilliant. Peter Duong showed me around the work warehouse and explained how each item works. The next day he came to our home and checked the roof etc and offered to install within the week. Peter was pretty good in explaining all my queries. The installer Jacob… Read more

Penrith Solar Centre brilliant all round – Today I finally got a battery to go with my solar panels, I’ve been waiting 10 years so it was a red letter day. I chose Penrith Solar Centre because of the strength of their reviews and their reputation. They were also very competitive on price which was reflected in the long waiting list, but I was happy to wait for a quality installation. It… Read more
was 7 weeks after first contact that I got my PW2 and that was a month early due to someone else baling out. A couple of companies could have done an install a week after my enquiry but I thought it was better to go with the guys who were very busy, even if had to wait a fair bit longer.
Darcy, Joel, George and Cooper turned up in this massive purple truck just after 7 am and got right into it. My installation had a couple of hiccups they had to sort through but they worked it out without any dramas. They worked hard to not use any conduit on the outside of the building, except a short stretch that was unavoidable. Darcy kept checking with me to make they were doing what I wanted and at the end he and Joel came up and showed me how to use the amazing Tesla app on my phone.
As well as the install team I received great support from several members of the team at home base, namely Peter Duong, Charlie Connor, Josh Armstrong, Jordan, Hana and Jory McDermott the installation manager, who answered my curly questions. I also loved the phone calls and emails keeping me in the loop and preparing me for install day. I absolutely recommend Penrith Solar Centre for anything solar.

Added battery to existing (2yo) system and works perfectly, virtually no grid use now! Pro Job all round – I contacted Penrith Solar Centre, about adding a Tesla Powerwall 2 to an existing 8kw solar setup we've had for 2 years, after hearing about Teslas $750 rebate for installs before 30th December. Elliot answered the phone first ring, was knowledgeable, went through the site details and google maps etc with me on the phone and later came back to… Read more
me saying "how does Saturday sound to you". Elliot personally rode over to my place (Ryde) later in the week and firmed up the battery location and details, and the unit was installed as promised without fuss on Saturday. Although I had a "straightforward" external cable run, I was impressed with the thoughtfulness and tidy cabling following the existing route of the solar, and the positioning of the gateway next to the switchboard was superb. Everything was up and running that afternoon and we've barely used the grid since.. Four sunny days immediately after install proved out the system and I did a couple of off-grid tests which proved I could charge an EV and run the house (minus air con and ovens of course) all on pure backup , with the solar chipping in too). There are always some gotchas with powerall like the 5kw inverter limit but even so they did an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone. They were possibly not the absolute cheapest, but at the quality of the installation they were possibly the best value.

found it I was given a complete walk through on how my system works in a simple language that I understood it’s been 3 weeks and I’ve had no problems my system is doing everything that it’s supposed too and most importantly I’m generating enough power to run my home and I can see the savings adding up each day. So if you want to get solar install give Penrith solar centre a call ph: 1800202930 you won’t be disappointed they will explain all you need to know and are always there if you have questions the also give you a workmanship warranty on the work they do this is on top of the warranty of all the products they use and just because you install is complete you still call them for any help advise regarding your solar system. I got a battery installed too and the electrician went around my home helping me choose which appliance to back up in the case of power outtage and my battery would power just those appliances to get the max benefit from my battery. Penrith Solar you Rock !
