If you’re looking for a place where customer service comes second to policy, you’ll probably love Pet Resorts. If you’re looking for fairness and basic flexibility… good luck. I paid a $275 deposit for my Kelpie's New Year stay at Pet Resorts Dural. When plans changed, I asked for a simple, reasonable solution: convert the deposit to doggy day care credit. Nope. No effort to work with me, no goodwill, no “let’s help you out” — just a strong vibe of thanks for the money, see you never. It left me feeling like it’s less about pets and people, and more about the cash register. And just in case you think that was a one-off, Pet Resort Terrigal took months to return a substantial overcharged payment. Months. Because apparently “quickly fixing a billing mistake” is an optional extra. Between the rigid deposit handling at Dural and the painfully slow refund process at Terrigal, I’ve learned my lesson: dont expect flexibility when money is involved. I won’t be back. Sad because I was a regular customer. Take a minute to read all the negative reviews.

My 20 month old Boxer has been going to Terrigal Pet Resort since late October 2025. Our experience has been exceptional. From my first tour of the facility we have been welcomed and treated with care and kindness and the dogs’ well-being is their priority. The facility is amazing with big yards for the puppies to run around in and a swimming pool. Their rooms are air conditioned and they have a little courtyard for when nature calls. They are always supervised when out playing by a number of ‘pet nannies’ (how cute is that term). Their daycare rate is extremely reasonable in comparison to other facilities. They have trainers onsite too who are fantastic. Thank you to everyone at Terrigal Pet Resort. We have found our happy place ❤️

Poor and disappointing – Beware, if you are considering leaving a significant deposit with Pet Resorts Australia. In March I paid the required deposit (around $950) for a three week stay for our dog due to commence at the end of June. Unfortunately our dog died in early May so I cancelled the stay, providing around 8 weeks notice. I completed the forms as requested, received an acknowledgement email but then heard nothing, despite several contacts initiated by me until I finally received the deposit (minus an admin/service fee of $140) 19 weeks after I cancelled the service. This was only after I asked my credit card provider to get involved. The local branch at Eumendi were responsive but totally ineffective and would not provide a number for head office so that I could contact them directly. The HQ details are also omitted from their website. I can only conclude that the business must be struggling financially.
